"We wanted to camp there.., - .... but the receptionist was so extremely unfriendly that we left the place again. The employee tore up the registration form in front of us. She acted as if she was filling out the form for the first time and made us feel like a nuisance. It would have cost 50 euros plus the cost of the showers for two adults and two 15-year-olds for one night in two small tents (we were there by bike).

"Expensive - :-( The place is noisy (traffic) :-( The showers cost a lot of money (10 cents per 10 seconds), the first one in the morning already uses 40 cents until the water starts to get warm. You splash all your clothes etc when showering, there is no splash guard. There was once a can of coke on the sink shelf for a few days, although according to the list it was cleaned every day. The place is definitely too expensive for that. :-( Catering, if you don't want to eat out every day, makeshift at a gas station nearby, or in the neighboring village in the supermarket 3 km away. :-( You should not swim there because of the current from the power station. :-) Nevertheless, this lake is beautiful. .-) Wonderful nature, beautiful views from the tent.

"Ok for less demanding campers - The owner of the campsite is very friendly and takes care of her guests. Unfortunately, there are some organizational difficulties at the start, which led to very long waiting times at the registration desk (waiting time 2 hours!). The sanitary facilities are very clean and are accessed via an access key. The key is charged at a flat rate of 10 euros; every time you enter, 2 cents are automatically deducted for use. The use of the showers is also via the key, as long as the water is running, it is debited (approx. 50 cents per normal shower time). Unfortunately, we were not informed about this when we registered. Biggest drawback. The prices on the Internet are incorrect; the prices are now all significantly higher. This also led to a surprise when we were billed. In addition to the overnight fees per person, there is also a tent flat rate, an electricity flat rate, an environmental fee (!) and a Corona flat rate (!). All in all, a more expensive pleasure than expected. Unfortunately, the night's rest was not observed at all due to loud youth groups. Unfortunately, the howling continued until 3 am. The location of the campsite is good, although not on the actual Edersee. The barrage and the start of the Edersee are about 1 hour's walk away. Unfortunately there are no stores within walking distance - apart from the kiosk in the campsite. Unfortunately, the campsite description on the website is not correct: Hot water is not included There is no campfire site There is also no soccer pitch There is also no beach volleyball court There may still be room for some cosmetic repairs to the green areas. All in all, the site is fine for less demanding campers - but at a fairly high price. PLEASE update prices on the Internet!

"Very nice owner, great price-performance ratio - Very nice place with a private atmosphere. We spontaneously stayed one night with the VW bus, were immediately given a very nice pitch without any red tape, were given a very nice welcome and farewell and felt very comfortable. At the moment everything is being renovated bit by bit, but without disturbing us. Superb!!!

"Unclean and no hot water - Desolate conditions since the change of operator in April. No hot water for weeks, not even in the rooms and apartments, unclean, very dirty sanitary facilities. They didn't clean the whole weekend and the toilets looked accordingly. Not recommended.
