"Surprisingly good! - Despite the previous comments, we spent a night at the campsite and went on a great road bike tour. There is a great rafting gorge nearby and from the campsite itself you can see the Via Ferrata - certainly a great mountain hiking area. Admittedly, when we arrived, there was no warden present, so we had to find a pitch and register later. There wasn't much choice, because in May half of the site had not yet been prepared for the season. The pitches are small, but parceled out and all arranged in a circle. The groundsman (Reinhold Messner type) was very nice and gave us advice for our bike tour. Climbing equipment is available for hire at the site. The sanitary facilities are absolutely basic, but clean and the showers are warm, without time limits and equipped with hand showers. Certainly not a place for a 3-week summer vacation, but very good as a base station for sporting activities. The dogs in the neighborhood all seem to have died of old age. We spent a very quiet night, not a bark was heard. Supermarket and bakery in the village within walking distance. Close to the Cathar chateaus of Peyrepertuse and Queribus.

"Terrible reception! - The reception at this campsite is horrible, children are barely tolerated, you're spied on all the time, and if you disobey one of the many rules (posted on trees, signs, etc.), you're in trouble. Basically, you pay and, above all, you keep quiet, if possible on your pitch. This is a campsite for people who want silence! On the other hand, the neighborhood dogs are having a field day, barking night and day! Don't forget the sardines in your tent, as the campsite manager won't hesitate to loosen the ties attached (on dead branches) to her precious trees, in 100 km of wind and of course in your absence! There's no shelter on the campsite, and in case of rain you're asked to stay on your pitch and not in the toilets (the only place with a roof), because they're not the salvation army (according to the owner). Anyway, in 30 years of camping we'd never seen anything like it! So don't bother, there's a very nice, simple campsite with a warm welcome in the neighboring commune.

" - The campsite is quiet and comfortable for all. Around here it's a different story, with dogs barking all night in the village. The pitches are ridiculous but very well shaded, the sun beating down and the wind sometimes quite violent and long-lasting. The site is clean, but the showers lack facilities. Leisure facilities are minimalist. The TV room is closed, so you'll need to have something to look at in advance to ask for the key. The campsite is very well located for seeing the Cathar hinterland. Finally, there are no mosquitoes.

Hélène and Jean Luc Schosseler welcome you all along the year in a quiet natural place at the side of the river AGLY, in Saint Paul de Fenouillet in Roussillon; for patrimony visits: cathare castles, prehistory museums: Tautavel and Belesta; …or for nature activities: rambling, climbing, caving, rafting, canyoning, … In the camping site, there is 42 shady places with electric plugs. We let too mobil homes and caravans. Near the camping site, you can stay in our holyday apartment. At the office, you’ll find all informations about the area, visits, activities and local specialities: wines and croquants (biscuits) There is a TV room, a barbecue, and some games (table tennis, pétanque, …) The camping site is equipped for handicapped persons. In winter, some toilets and shower rooms are warmed. The camping site is close to the village: shops, super market, doctors, … We accept animals.
