Major supermarkets are half an hour away (but along scenic route through mountains).
Child-friendly, quiet campground with free-roaming animals
For the first time in our long "camping career," we stayed longer than a week at one campground. In fact, we stayed the entire vacation. The campground is spacious, which is very peaceful. The children can play to their hearts content in the grass, with the (during the day) free-roaming goats, chickens,... dog and cats. Every week there is a casual cozy campfire over which the children can bake bread. They also get to ride the tractor every week. The baguette is delivered to your tent in the morning, in the evening you can join the owners for dinner ('table d'hote'). In the vicinity there is much to see and do (a clean, well-kept mountain lake for swimming, a climbing course, the Puy-de-Dome). In short, a wonderful combination of tranquility, beautiful surroundings, clean sanitary facilities and entertainment for the children.
