- Werner Z.June 2023PozitivaSmall campsite situated in a small bay. Directly by the sea.NegativaAccess only signposted at the last moment. Roads on the site with tight bends but easily passableSmall but niceSmall but very nice campsite. Access from the south directly in front of the tunnel portal, coming from the north very sharp turn on the opposite lane.
There is also a sharp bend at the site itself, but it is also drivable with a large motorhome. Sanitary facilities very clean, although a bit outdated.... Mini-market in the restaurant. Bread, milk, eggs, water and beer available. The restaurant itself has very good Spanish cuisine. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help.
Dog-friendly site, but few opportunities to run around.Automaticky přeloženo. - D. C.March 2023PozitivaAtmosphere Beach bay like "private" Inexpensive & good restaurant ACSI-Card is accepted (23€ incl. electricity)Negativa32€ (2 p./van p.N.) in March (!) is not exactly cheapGreat, rustic campsite with narrow pitchesA really rustic campsite in a small, rather narrow bay 5 km west of Almeria. The valley is crossed by several bridges, but you can't hear the traffic at all on the front pitches "before the first bridge", just the sound of the sea. You have the bay with its pebble beach to yourself. The sanitary facilities... are older, but nicely done, toilets with glasses and everything is always clean. The small restaurant is really great and you can eat delicious food for a small euro. The landlord and his little parrot are really nice. The pitches on the site are very narrow, however, and parking is really tricky for womos/campervans over 6.40m. But the atmosphere makes up for the effort...Automaticky přeloženo.

- Michael T.October 2017PozitivaFriendly, family - run, quiet with excellent clean facilities.NegativaCan't think of any. I loved the place from day one!Excellent siteIdeally situated a few minutes drive from the city of Almeria and the town of Aguadulce. Several winters spent there in lovely sunshine. Probably the best climate in Europe. Friendly staff, family atmosphere, good bar with food. In a quiet cove with the sea literally only a few metres from the pitches. I wholeheartedly recommend the site.
- Carsten S.June 2017PozitivaRight by the seaNegativalittle shadeRight by the seaThe pitch is outdated and offers hardly any shade. Sanitary facilities at the end. Too bad - could actually be a great place in a beautiful bay. You would have to invest something. Ok for one night.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Flicken B.May 2017Pozitivalanguages, beach, restaurant, all are very friendlyfriendly, polite, positivefriendly camping owner, they all (stuff) speak more than one language, one of the oldest campsides in spain, close to almeria, next to the beach, ...Automaticky přeloženo.
- Felix S.March 2017PozitivaFree WifiNegativaRun downVery run downUsed the site as a staging area in March. The whole site is run down and there is garbage everywhere. There are even lots of leaves and small branches in the sanitary facilities. Hopefully this will change in the high seasonAutomaticky přeloženo.
- aurelie b.August 2016Pozitivawaterfront, shade, good restaurant, inexpensiveSupert petit campingBeautiful campsite, very quiet and shaded, directly on the beach in a small cove, 5 min from Almeria. With a very good restaurant and all managed by a super friendly team. Thank you for this vacation!!! I'm trying to write it in Spanish!!!
- heinz p.July 2016PozitivaClose to the beach, friendly, foreign language, restaurant.NegativaSmall pitch. Only Spanish in the restaurant. It has become 2 days.Friendly reception and good English. Sanitary facilities are in order (have been brought?). They are cleaned well, but unfortunately not 100%. There are no shelves in the shower, if there are hooks, they are too wide. They don't speak a word of English in the restaurant, but the food is good. Only a few meters to the beach is a luxury that is very rare. All in all, the place is well looked after.Automaticky přeloženo.
- diana l.May 2014PozitivaLocation, right on the seashore. This campsite has magicNegativayou need a car to do anything, shopping, activities, etc.Location saves it!The campsite is quite run down - which I don't mind too much, as long as the facilities are clean. The location is perfect if you like the beach. The staff is VERY friendly. If you go with a tent it is impossible to anchor it on the ground, it is very rocky. So you have to look for a spot on the beach,... because when it is windy (east/west) it always faces the campsite, although it needs a lot of improvement, I'll be back in two weeks! It is very quiet and overlooks the old road from agudulce to almeria, you NEED a car!!! To go to the supermarket, or to do any activity.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Helmut T.April 2014PozitivaOvernight stay ok. Or to visit Almeria. Bus stops in front of the entrance. The castle and cathedral are closed on Mondays. Day of rest.NegativaYou should shower in the motorhome. No shopping facilities. Filling up with water is only possible with canisters. Very noisy directly on the N340.Ok for one night but otherwise hands offThe sanitary facilities are a mess. There are no mosaic tiles on the floor in the showers so that you cut your feet open. There are no water connections on any of the pitches. Everything is outdated and not renovated. The operators are 4 siblings. We speak fluent Spanish and spoke to one person. The costs to renovate everything are too high. The bungalows are on the other side of the river bed. They are in an unacceptable condition.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Mr G.February 2014PozitivaThere is bus stop at the top of the steep campsite hill.NegativaVery old worn out facilities, very muddy in winter.Very small pitches.SMALL HIPPY TYPE SITEVery small pitches suitable for tents or VW small camping car, very old facilities, stoney beach, very expensive rates ,for a very poor campsite.
- Helmut W.May 2013Only 1 night. Treetops too low for our Womo. The sanitary facilities are in need of renovation. Location directly by the sea is interesting and quiet. Ideal for water enthusiasts. To visit Almeria and the Alcazaba, which is worth seeing, there is a 24-hour paid parking space at the harbor.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Ian R.May 2013We came across this site by accident. It is set in a beautiful little cove with the Med lapping the shore mere metres from the pitches. We did find the tent pitches quite hard and I had trouble getting pegs in. There are several pitches for medium sized motorhomes and caravans, with all the usual facilities.... The wash blocks were small but clean and adequate for the size of the site. The bar serves a limited range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. There aren't many leisure activities either on-site or close by but if you're looking for a small site in a lovely location for peace and relaxation, we would recommend it.
- Daniel B.October 2010I found the site quite overpriced at 22 euros (tent) in October. Especially as it has nothing to offer. The sanitary facilities are outdated and partly rusty. The staff, especially in the restaurant, were very unfriendly. I was glad to be able to leave again.Automaticky přeloženo.Odpovězeno z Camping la Garrofa November 30, 2012We are of course very sorry if you were not satisfied with our offer and would be delighted if we could convince you of the opposite again. We have been running this campsite since 1957 and thousands of visitors return every year. This fact speaks for itself.
Our campsite has a lot to offer guests who... are looking for a quiet and relaxed environment by the sea or who simply want to enjoy the sun. Nice acquaintances are always made at our campsite. We have been renovating the campsite since 2010 and have tried to offer our guests a perfect service. The lady at our bar is friendly and makes every effort to ensure that all guests feel comfortable. We are sorry if you did not feel that way.Automaticky přeloženo. - Jean-Michel C.August 2010
- Hans S.May 2010The small, two-part site is located at the end of a valley incision and ends directly in a small bay called "La Garrofa", from which it takes its name. The pitches are sheltered by matting roofs and some are protected by old trees. The old coastal road crosses the site via a viaduct. The new busy road... runs above the site to nearby Almeria (4 km). With 3000 hours of sunshine, this area of Spain is the sunniest region in Europe. This is also reflected in the many greenhouses for oranges, lemons, tomatoes etc. Therefore, the place is suitable for wintering, it is open all year round and the sea water is warmer than the air in winter and it is only 4 km to Almeria.Automaticky přeloženo.
