Also in the restaurant that is a better choice because the pin machine still sometimes fails.Very nice campingIt is a beautiful location and great base for a city trip to Hamburg. Hubert V.June 2024PozitivaWe liked it here very much! We were here from 5.06. to 11.06.2024. The sanitary facilities were always very clean! We particularly liked the natural camping area with beautiful trees in the "orchard" behind the dike. Free choice of pitch without parcelling is really great! Really great! We were right next to the chicken enclosure. The rooster must have had problems with the changeover to summer time on the first morning! At shortly after 4 the night's rest was over! But no problem! On the second morning he must have overslept... It wasn't until shortly after 8.00 a.m. that he was called away! For day trips to Hamburg, we recommend taking the car to the Allermöhe S-Bahn station! There is a free parking lot directly at the S-Bahn station (about 20 km from the campsite)! There are also good shopping facilities there (Edeka, Penny, Roßmann etc.) We liked it here very much! Absolutely recommendable!NegativaSongs was the WLan a bit slow! Otherwise everything was great!Very beautiful natural campsite directly on the ElbeWe were very satisfied and will definitely spend a longer vacation here! We simply loved it! We don't need any frills to relax either!

This resulted in a detour of about 80km. The Elbe ferry a few kilometers away could also not be used with WOMO due to low water.Beautiful campsite Land an der ElbeVery nice quiet place. We were able to choose our own pitch in the garden area. Pitch not overcrowded. Very tidy and clean sanitary facilities. Bread roll service and small kiosk on site. Slightly uneven pitch, shaded by trees. Electricity and water near the pitch. Edeka supermarket approx. 700 meters... away. Allow 1 hour to Hamburg by public transport. Bus does not run between 9 and 11 am. Finding a parking space for the motorhome in Hamburg in the high season was a challenge. Better to travel by public transport. There are no disadvantages!I've been going to this campsite every year since 2015, and twice a year since 2020The owner family is always very helpful and extremely personal in dealing with the guests. The sanitary facilities are absolutely clean and are cleaned twice a day. There is a constant effort to keep the place tidy and clean. The view of the adjacent Elbe gives you the right vacation feeling and guarantees... relaxation. Something very special is the play of colors of the sunset every evening on the opposite side of the Elbe - people gather on the banks of the Elbe, take colorful photos or simply enjoy the evening atmosphere.
If you want to make a detour to nearby Hamburg, you can take the B404 and A25 to Allermöhe and from there the S21 to Hamburg - quick and easy.

Our pitch in the "garden", which has a park-like character with old trees and lots of greenery, was generously sized like all the others. The lack of plots gives the garden a natural atmosphere.... A really nice environment where you could feel at home.
The sanitary facilities were always very clean, but unfortunately far too small, so there were often waiting times. Due to Corona, the facilities were also reduced, so that, for example, only one wash cubicle, one washbasin and one children's washbasin were available for the men.
The situation was similar for washing up, where only two people could be in the room at the same time. Incomprehensibly, the cleaning times were scheduled twice a day - actually very welcome - at noon and in the evening from 8 pm for at least an hour each time at a time when the sanitary facilities are heavily frequented, so that queues regularly formed. During the cleaning times, there were no alternative options for the sanitary facilities.
You can go on beautiful bike tours on both sides of the Elbe from the site. All in all, we liked it. Card payment would be desirable. From here you can go cycling or chill out on the Elbe beach.

There are no pitches and you can really stand where and how you want, which is very pleasant. You can either stand in the garden or behind the dyke directly on the Elbe. We naturally opted for the Elbe side. There is also a toilet trailer there (flood area, everything... has to be removed in winter) so that you don't always have to climb over the dyke. Electricity is available for tokens, in Germany it is still quite normal to pay for electricity separately. You should have a long power cable with you or you have to stand close to an electricity box. The sanitary facilities are on the other side of the dyke and were always super clean and very nicely designed with lots of space.
The campsite is in a great location if you want to make a trip to Hamburg, it takes about 35 minutes by car and yet you are in the countryside and not in the city.

This would be helpful at night with the special staircase. Clear directions for new arrivals - we didn't know where to go to the reception at first, as the site has an extra access road to the Elbe pitches. Washing facilities on the Elbe side would of course be ideal.Hamburg and surroundingsAs already written above, it is a beautifully situated campsite with very friendly hosts. Everything is clean and well organized. The Elbe has ebb and flow here, which is an experience in itself on the river. Shopping facilities can be reached in 2 minutes by car.
