The facilities of the campsite with a pool and an indoor pool are perfect. The sanitary facilities were always clean. We felt very comfortable there. It's not a problem to get a pitch in the low season. We were immediately impressed by the location.
The sea almost spills into the site (exaggerated) but it really is only a few steps at high tide. The sandy bay is... bigger and longer than you can see in the pictures. A paradise for dogs, although we were often alone.
The pool and indoor pool were fine - as were the sanitary facilities.
Bread roll service on the pitch. There is a large supermarket 4 km away.
Walking distance along the beach to the next village about 30 minutes. There are 2 restaurants and a beach bar on the beach with delicious hamburgers.
We liked it so much that we were there again quite spontaneously this year and it won't be the last time we've been there.

The deposit of €100 would then also be refunded.
Unfortunately, we then had to cancel our vacation 2 weeks before the start of the trip for personal reasons. However, we did not get... the deposit back.
Initially, the campsite said that this was only possible after a corona illness. After that, the campsite didn't reply to three more emails.
After I wrote to the campsite again 2 weeks later, I got the same answer that there would be no deposit back.
Our friends who went without us liked the campsite very much.
However, we and our friends did not know that the Flamanville nuclear power plant was in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. They found this extremely disturbing.

Endless opportunities to walk... the dogs. Whether the lack of network / internet coverage is a disadvantage - a matter of taste, it didn't bother us. For sightseeing tours you have to drive a bit or look elsewhere in advance. If you want peace and quiet and relaxation and want to look around from time to time, you're in good hands here. When there is a lot going on (for us at the weekends) you still have your peace and quiet and are undisturbed (our pitch was right next to the stand crossing and yet we didn't have the feeling of unrest and noise).Automaticky přeloženo.

Booking and contact easy online and in English. A very nice welcome on arrival, the reception staff speak English and sometimes German. The pitches were all very sandy and sometimes very uneven. Ours (101) was almost... crooked and it was very difficult to align it. On our pitch there was a large tree with lots of roots that protruded deep into the pitch. Nice for the shade, but unfortunately we couldn't set up the caravan and tent as we wanted. Although you have to specify the dimensions of the caravan and tent when booking and it was clear that it would be too tight, we were not told anything about this when we booked. The site has a really well-maintained toilet block. It felt like the toilet block was cleaned every hour. Unfortunately, the number of toilets and showers was not really sufficient at peak times. In addition, toilets and showers are not separated from each other. You have to want the smell when showering. There are 3 pools (1 covered), a bar/snack bar and a tiny kiosk. There is also a bouncy castle, trampoline, 2 playgrounds, tennis court, volleyball court and soccer pitch. Everything is beautifully landscaped and you can see people working all day long. Everything is very well maintained, beautiful flowers everywhere, with great attention to detail. The beach is right behind the campsite. At low tide, the water is unusually far away, but the sea is always rushing and the sound is simply wonderful. There is a small daily program. Nothing wild. Sometimes sports games, sometimes a concert in the bar, etc. There are plenty of excursions, although you have to travel quite a few kilometers. Cherbourg is about 40km, the landing beaches Utah Beach and Omaha Beach about 50-60km. Mont St. Michel was unfortunately 160km, and simply too much for us in the heat. Shopping facilities about 3km uphill by car. Conclusion: the place was great and absolutely worth the money. We would come again at any time. We only noticed two real disadvantages: 1. the cell phone connection is really bad. To put it mildly, it sucks. Virtually non-existent in bad weather. Phone calls were almost impossible during our 14 days, but we always went up to the village. There was no LTE at all. You could receive wonderful WhatsApp messages on the hills by the playground, and that's where you'd usually meet young people 🤣 The operator knows about this and sells WiFi at absolutely extortionate prices in 2-hour vouchers, which is more than borderline. Almost criminal. With 5 stars, we honestly expected more contemporary behavior. 2. only the staff at reception spoke English. Unfortunately not in the bar/restaurant. So unfortunately we couldn't eat there because nobody understood us, a real shame. The campsite is beautifully situated, right by the sea. The pitches, like the rest of the campsite, are very well maintained and large enough. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and are always spotless. The... staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The sandy beach and the crystal-clear Atlantic Ocean are perfect for swimming. The swimming pool on the campsite and the bar are also to be recommended. We discovered a new worthwhile destination, La Maison du Biscuit in Sortosville-en-Beaumont. However, it's not for diet fanatics. Unfortunately, there were no more newspapers on site this year, but we wanted to switch off. ... I couldn't add... anything to my positive comments in 2017 either. We were again very satisfied and have booked for 2018. ... My comment 2016 : We stayed here again for 6 nights, we liked it again very much. The renovated and enlarged swimming pool is particularly suitable for families. We have already booked again for 2017. ... I wrote this in 2010: Large, but still quiet campsite. Nice beach, but due to the relatively large tidal range, swimming opportunities are not always available. Food on site not very plentiful, but good. Well situated for various excursions into Normandy. Somewhat secluded site of a reasonable size (not a huge site, no permanent campers, large pitches) which was not fully booked even in mid-July. Located behind the dunes with direct access to the beach without a disturbing road in between. Nice mix of many nations with tents, motorhomes... and mobile homes. Absolutely quiet and relaxed atmosphere, no wristbands or parking cards required. Very friendly staff, who also made last-minute rebookings possible. No annoying and loud entertainment, occasional sports games and live music. Good infrastructure with clean pool, small bar and snack bar, minimal stores, but fresh and sufficient bread sold daily. Good leisure facilities (tennis court, volleyball, football pitch, playground, table tennis, billiards, darts, library, good tips for regional sights. A central, clean sanitary block. Very beautiful, natural, empty and extensive sandy beach with no frills and no lifeguards, approx. 10 meters wide at maximum tide, approx. 300 meters at low tide. The mail traffic ran smoothly in advance and all questions were answered in a friendly manner. The site itself is right on the beach, where dogs are also allowed. The pitches all have water and waste water... connections and are separated by hedges/shrubs. It is advisable to make a reservation during the season and you should also specify the size of your caravan. Some pitches are a little tight for a medium-sized caravan, but they are always big enough. There is nothing wrong with the sanitary facilities. We had the impression that they are always cleaned 24/7. Problems with oncoming traffic. Registration... staff very friendly and helpful. Still had free choice of pitch. Sufficient space even for large caravans. Pitch with supply and waste water connection and bordered with hedges. Swimming pool with roof and pool in good weather. Direct access to the beach/sea. Also ideal for dog owners.
