- Achim E.June 2023PozitivaQuiet. Clean. Familiar.NegativaIf at all, then this: Unfortunately not in the immediate vicinity of the sea. It wasn't a problem for us as we had our bikes with us. The same applies to the shopping facilities, although Goran (the senior manager) is happy to take care of the errands in Vela Luka.Quiet, original. Good.We were here at the beginning of June and there weren't many campers. We loved the peace and quiet. Goran and Anna (speaks English) often asked if we were missing anything. We went on beautiful bike tours from here. The small but new sanitary facilities are of the highest standard.
In short, it was a very pleasant stay and we felt very comfortable.Automaticky přeloženo. - Silvia H.August 2020Pozitivathe peace and quiet, the perfect sunset on the panoramic terraceNegativaNo catering facilitiesBreathtakingThe campsite is actually perfect if you find out beforehand that there are no supply options (grocery stores) within a radius of approx. 5 km. We came to this campsite by chance, there is only one restaurant in the immediate vicinity and everything was already booked for a week in advance. On the day... we arrived we didn't have anything left to take care of ourselves, so we had to drive back to Vela Luka and do some shopping.
You should consider this in advance, then it is the perfect place.
Nearby (about 500-900 meters) there are several bays, all within walking distance.
The place was (due to Corona time) only little occupied, the very nice operator has assigned us a beautiful place under olive trees.
The sanitary facilities were always clean.
There is a large viewing terrace where you can watch the most beautiful sunset.Automaticky přeloženo. - Nikolai N.July 2018PozitivaPeace, great landscape and bays, nice operators and fair pricePure peace and relaxationAn incredibly beautiful campsite with large pitches under old trees, run by a helpful and very friendly family. Lots of great bays nearby and absolute peace and quiet all around! You can even buy homemade wine and olive oil. Highly recommended!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Christian B.September 2017PozitivaRest RecreationMaximum relaxation and old olive treesOnce you arrive in Vela Luka, the route takes you - sometimes along narrow roads - through beautiful olive groves to Kamp Mindel. You have the positive feeling of having arrived "at the end of the world". Very friendly and helpful operators, the pitches under old shady olive and almond trees. All bays... can be easily reached on foot, the beaches are all rocky, with a few exceptions. No shopping facilities on site. A few meters before the camp is a small restaurant with a beautiful view, you have to book a place and food in advance. But be careful, there is no menu with prices, everything is there to eat properly. Wow, we were amazed, we hadn't paid that much for the whole vacation, so watch out.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Thomas G.July 2017PozitivaQuiet, peaceful ambience, good mountain bike area, friendly hosts, clean and good sanitary facilitiesNegativaPractically no beaches in the area, only opportunities to swim over rocksSecluded, a paradise for people looking for peace and quiet...The place is in a beautiful spot, but not ideal for us with two children aged 6 + 8. You have to cycle or walk to the coast to swim in the sea, there aren't really any beaches, but you can swim over rocks in the sea. Not really a problem, but not ideal with children of that age. Otherwise a very nice place, friendly hosts, good sanitary facilities, great views from the terrace of the sanitary building, beautiful sunsets, pure nature.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Chris T.July 2016Pozitiva-quiet -clean -lots of nature -few touristsAbsolute paradise!!!We stayed at the campsite for 16 days and felt very comfortable. Very clean and a really lovely family. Perfect for people looking for peace and nature. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the water.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Alfred M.April 2015PozitivaQuiet site. Sanitary facilities good (but possible water shortage in high season). Nice people. Bread roll service.NegativaFar away from the sea, stores and fun. Just olive trees and lots of stones. Most beautiful campsite on KorkulaWell, there's not much choice on Korkula, just 3 campsites. This one is very tidy, the owners are super friendly and even bring the bread rolls in the morning! The bathing spots by the sea are unfortunately quite far away from the campsite and also very rocky (but very clean water).Automaticky přeloženo.
- Peter P.August 2014PozitivaYou feel really well looked after; quiet site without traffic - also good for families with small children; level pitchesNegativafor WOMO the pitches are mostly without shade; low olive trees only provide shade for tents; no local supply.Relaxation at the end of the worldWe stayed at the campsite for a week and enjoyed the peace and seclusion. The daughter of the site operator organizes the site and speaks very good English. Something that has never happened to us before: we were kindly asked the day after our arrival if everything was OK and if we had any questions... or requests ... We were given good shopping and restaurant tips for Vela Kuka and were able to prepare our fish on the barbecue in the evening. There is also a 1-burner hob for the backpackers, which can be used free of charge. Lunchtime rest is taken seriously and one of the family members always sits at the barrier and keeps watch - or dozes in the shade. We felt very safe despite the seclusion. The family really go out of their way. The **beaches** are one of those things: from the ridge on which the campsite is located, you walk about half an hour to the water. There are all rocks, and at one coastal point gravel has been artificially poured onto the rocks to create some sunbathing areas. This has nothing to do with **standing**. We liked it anyway: we walked from a bathing bay along the rock for a quarter of an hour and had our nudist peace and quiet all day. Provided we had a beach mat, provisions and bathing shoes.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Hendrik E.July 2014Pozitivanice peopleNegativanoneRelaxing and pure well-beingNice family-run camping site with a number of nice and uncrowded beaches nearby. The camping spots are all situated under shadow spending olive trees and the sunsets are magnificient - they even built a platform on the restroom facilities just for watching it. There is not much luxury around, but all... necessities are provided, even barbecue and cooking facilities can be used, everything is always clean and intact. Go for this place if you're looking for a relaxing atmossphere and get together with the family and other guests from across Europe. Also this place is quite a good bargain :-) one of the best camp grounds we've ever visited :-)Automaticky přeloženo.
- Anna W.July 2013An absolutely great place for anyone looking for peace and quiet instead of entertainment and for whom friendliness is more important than luxurious facilities! It is located six kilometers from Vela Luka on a paved, hilly road, very well signposted. The owners are incredibly friendly. You can buy a... delicious house wine, beer and water on site, but you have to stock up on groceries in Vela Luka - or use the 'shopping service', hand in a shopping list in the evening and the owner will bring it from the town the next morning. Nice camping possibilities under olive and almond trees, parceled out with stone walls - the places for motorhomes etc. seem limited to me, I would rather make a reservation in the season. The sanitary facilities are ok and very clean. Refrigerators and the barbecue may be used. The site itself is not on the Mehr, but there are several different really great (!) bays within walking or cycling distance, about 1/2 km. Perfect for switching off, and from the terrace on the wash houses there is a great view of the surrounding islands and the sunset. We already missed the wonderful 'wasteland' at the next place!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Jens K.June 2013Super nice owner family. You immediately feel part of it. They always strive to please their guests. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to Goran and his family.Automaticky přeloženo.
