- Martin P.červenec 2022PozitivaThe location on the lake is the big plus of this campsite. And the operators are very nice. But that's all there is to it.NegativaWe like quiet places close to nature and were completely wrong here: the upper part of the campsite is dominated by party-hungry groups whose music boxes from all corners outdo each other from 9 o'clock in the morning, alcohol flows in streams... This goes on until at least midnight at the weekend (we were there Fri-Sun). Every now and then, cars with a lot of P's drive around the square at night. The sanitary facilities are also VERY annoying: you have to pay a deposit to get a key to open the individual bathrooms with shower/WC. The problem: nobody can see from the outside whether the cubicle is occupied or not. So some people just unlock it and at best you're just sitting on the toilet and not standing stark naked in the shower! The site is in a picturesque location, BUT in the middle of a restricted military area (every now and then a machine gun rattles in the forest), which means that you have to drive a long way for any activities! You can completely forget about hiking from the campsite and most of the lake is also a restricted area. Cycling towards Bitche is ok but the town is not a hit either. The site is heavily dominated by German permanent campers, whose aged annexes and conversions have seen much better daysLoud place on a beautiful lake in the middle of a restricted areaWe will certainly not be going back to this site. Unfortunately, you have to pay in advance and you have to apply for a refund at the municipal administrationAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Steffen R.červenec 2017PozitivaPeace, beautiful green landscapeNegativaSupply, sanitaryQuite okay...First of all: well located if you want to visit the citadel in Bitche and this nice little town. There are also two large supermarkets there, the only serious supply point. We were on the upper part of the campsite, so not by the lake as we had hoped, only permanent campers or rental accommodation there.... Despite the central vacations in France, it was totally quiet at the top, and even the young German invasion at the weekend was bearable. The sanitary facilities are special: in relatively large units there is a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. Not very economical, depending on demand and occupancy. The ventilation was also not very good, which is why we often simply left the doors for which we were given a key (with a deposit) open. Then, after a short time, the climate was reasonably good again. The route to Bitche is doable by bike, albeit hilly, but a car is recommended. The reception was service-oriented to varying degrees. All in all, a rather regional event in the border region between the Palatinate and Lorraine. It's a great area and if you have enough supplies and are self-sufficient, you'll be fine. Our pitches (motorhome and caravan) were still very straight, but others had a challenging slope that we would not have been able to compensate for.Automaticky přeloženo.
