Pure relaxation
We (2 people) stayed on the site for 10 days at the end of September in warm temperatures and enjoyed the off-season - few campers - to the full. The pool remained open especially for us, great courtesy from the groundsman. The restaurant on the site was only open four days during the season, but was... very good, very friendly staff. The pitches, surrounded by large hedges, were clean and large enough (it was easy to park the car next to the camper van). Supermarkets nearby were a 10-15 minute drive away. Bread roll service at the site was excellent. The rural location makes it necessary to be mobile by car or similar - if you want to be. Train connection to Lyon from the neighboring town of Villars-des-Dombes was good. Overall, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, the friendliness of the groundsman and the French food.

Small, informal campsite with very friendly staff. Small pool to cool off and clean, modern sanitary facilities. Bread roll service at reception and small restaurant on site. Well suited as a cheap alternative for a stay in Lyon.
