On to the pitch under shady trees with a slight view of the sea. We explore the site, except for the sometimes long paths (but doable by bike).
Due to the size of the campsite, there are many possibilities and activities.
A very quiet place at night and also very suitable for families.

Alexander B.September 2023PozitivaThe location at least where we were standing. Large dog beach. Nice staff at the receptionNegativaOur wash house (house 10) is outdated, unkempt and run down. Little to no maintenance of the plots.Large campsite with everything you need.The campsite is very large but you don't notice the many campers so much as everything is spread out on the huge site. We were in the second row by the dog beach. The paths there are only paved in the first row. It wouldn't really be a problem if at least the gravel roads were maintained. From large... sharp stones to tons of pine needles lying on the ground. Cycling is not so easy there. The slightly raised edge for marking and edging the plot is also completely overgrown and covered in gravel. This edge is actually intended to drain off water when it rains. Fortunately, we cleaned ours ourselves, which proved its worth during the only rain in 4 weeks. In 4 weeks, we didn't even see anyone cleaning it. The dog beach is very good. It goes shallow into the water on gravel. The bar on the dog beach is not exactly cheap and has little choice. Many of the lanterns don't go on at night or are always on and off. A permanent camper told us that they are serviced once at the beginning of the season and then nothing happens for the whole season. The wash house 10 where the next one to our pitch was is very old and was very broken. Cracked sinks, toilets without flushing units etc. The new restaurant in front of the wash house is relatively expensive and the food had a charm of a ready meal e.g. grill plate ordered but there is no grill at all. Pancakes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert was a ready made pancake cold with ice cream. Everything is in Maestra hands, within this large campsite there are only burgers, fries or pizza.

Anyway, we wanted a pitch, if possible with a little shade in the superior section. we got a sloping pitch that was only in the sun. this was then changed after we asked and we got another pitch. However,... we had to move once towards the end. That was fine too.
The pitch was also big enough, even and clean. We just had to walk long distances because everything was at the entrance or nearby. The bakery wasn't far, but it was expensive. more expensive than ours. Example: bread 🥖 €2.20; baked rolls €1.00. Even the scoop of ice cream is more than well priced at €2.20. No one is surprised when the Lidl is empty.
I don't just want to complain about the prices
but you do feel a little ripped off.
Most of the sanitary facilities in this price range of the campsite should also be nicer and also work. the cleaning was also ok so far.
Conclusion for us: we will avoid such places in future because they are overcrowded, too many dogs, too big and simply too expensive.Automaticky přeloženo.

Most of the sanitary facilities are new, modern and well maintained. The numerous additional facilities, such as tennis court, mini-golf, bouncy castle, etc., are also well maintained, but some have relatively high additional... charges. Nice large pool with water playground is free to use. There is a well-stocked supermarket and several restaurants on site. If you want something cheaper, classic Croatian restaurants are within walking distance. Large supermarkets can be reached by car in 10 minutes. The campsite is partly sunny and partly wooded with pine trees. The beach can be reached quickly from all pitches. There are also numerous facilities there, such as jet skis, pedal boats, bananas, water bouncy castle, water cab to Rovinj and much more. A beautiful cycle path leads along the water to Rovinj (approx. 30 minutes). There are also pitches and a small harbor for boats, as well as a slipway. Despite the enormous size of the campsite, the sanitary facilities are not overcrowded. People are also surprisingly well distributed along the waterfront.Automaticky přeloženo.

Rovinj can be reached by mountain bike on a great route along the sea in 40 minutes. On the main road in 20 minutes. However, I definitely recommend the route along the... sea.
The sanitary facilities were partly newly renovated, partly not yet. In any case, they were always clean and not overcrowded. The pool area is large, but also very crowded and dirty, which is due to the fact that dirt gets into the water from the outdoor facilities (red/brown earth/grass).
The beach, which is suitable for children without rocks, is unfortunately very small. Otherwise,... there are plenty of stretches of beach that are quieter but also very rocky.
Despite its size, the campsite was very quiet and the entertainment program ended at 11pm.
The children's disco was unfortunately not a hit. The music and movements were similar to aqua aerobics and there was no music suitable for children.
Our washroom was very new, but a lot of things were broken, such as toilet seats, wall hooks, door stoppers, hairdryers etc. Toilet seats were replaced quickly, but only lasted one day. The tiles in the shower were very slippery, when wet it was very difficult to walk (it was the same at the pool)
Unfortunately there were no toilets on the beach, you had to walk quite far to the wash house.
The restaurant at the small supermarket was very good and the manager was very friendly.
Reception was also great and friendly. Cleaning lady was constantly in the wash house and did her best.

But none of this was confirmed during our stay. We were close to the "Konzum" - it was never too loud there. The sanitary facilities were relatively new and always well maintained. A small repair or two couldn't hurt, but that usually only happens over... the winter. The beach was great, the entertainment on offer was varied and the restaurants were just right. Of course, you have to pay extra for many activities (water bouncy castle, trampoline, etc.) - but that goes without saying! Pitches, regardless of category, very large. And something for every taste.
Eating by the sea/pool in the burger bar or in the restaurant possible. The bakery closes... at lunchtime.
Outside the campsite there is the option of eating out in one of the konobas. Too far to walk.
Children can let off steam in the aquapark. There are also many sea accesses on the beach - graveled, even; as well as rocky, depending on which sea access.
At the pool there are "safety-related" 2 points deduction for repairs and defects. Loose railings, for example.
There are also several playgrounds for children.
All but two of the sanitary facilities are new and modern.
Unfortunately, the dirt left behind is not only due to the people using the toilets, but also to the cleaning staff - very disappointing how they clean! Chair marks from the previous year apparently. There is a small supermarket next to the PC that stocks the essentials.
You can also reserve a pitch number - the cost is 100 euros, which is not refundable. But you are sure to get the pitch you want.
Dogs are welcome here, everywhere you look, even on the beach.

The first week there were several hundred youth groups and the noise lasted until 8.30 a.m. Then VW Beetle friends arrived who of course also made a lot of noise. The Backschop in the bay was still closed, the prices in the restaurant were extremely high. Our tenants Alexander Seidl and Michaela Plötz to whom I recommended Polari have canceled the vacation They had rented a mobile home. We are very disappointed because we were really looking forward to the vacation, but it was not relaxing. According to older campers who have been on this site for a long time, there were many guests at this time. The company should not be surprised that the guests leave the camp for dinner because the price of the service is crazy. Too bad because we like to come to Rovinj but not like this anymore.
