"More of a parking lot atmosphere - We stayed at this site in October for an overnight stopover to visit Sanremo. The mostly gravelled site has more of a pitch atmosphere. Some of the pitches are very small and close together. The sanitary facilities could do with an overhaul, but they are fine. The operators are very nice.

"Very nice original place - Very friendly operators, cozy and familiar. Shuttle service to the train station to go to Monaco. Sanitary facilities old but ok, ideal for short motorhome stays, unbeatable value for money. Great supermarket in the immediate vicinity.

"My worst CP - The campsite is located in the small village of Latte, right in the U-loop of the coastal road. That means it's loud. All night long. Not just the normal cars. There are also trucks, motorcycles and scooters. And the latter two in particular like to show that they can be loud, even around midnight. So: the location is unfavorable. I wanted to camp on the site. As the site is on the edge of a dry riverbank, bordered on 3 of the 4 sides by the main road, there is very little space available. The problem was solved by making the pitches very small - perhaps 3 x 5 meters. The entire floor is covered with plastic sheeting, which creates a very unattractive aseptic atmosphere. It feels like you are pitching your tent in a hall where your neighbor is snoring 3 meters next to you. The sanitary facilities have seen better days. It's clean, but it's a bit run-down. And hot showers cost extra. The whole thing costs €21 per night in the off-season (1p, 1 tent). All things have to be dragged from the car to the 'campsite' - through rooms and up stairs - about 150m. I left the site the next morning at 7:30 in a hurry. On the plus side, the operators are friendly.

"The somewhat different campsite - This site is very special. Starting with the areas for tents, the floors of which are covered with tarpaulins. You can't get there by car, you can carry everything to the pitch. The areas are very small. There is space for a two-man tent. The pitch is located in a bend bordered by the main road. There is traffic noise the WHOLE night - including motorcycles. This site is not recommended, not even as a stopover.

"Ideal for those passing through - We made a stopover here to visit Monte Carlo. The friendliness of the staff is remarkable without being artificial. We felt we were in good hands. My personal complaint is the sanitary facilities. They were too spartan for me, but that's a matter of taste! The site is sloping and chocks are recommended for campers. Personally, I don't really like gravel roads, but the extensive planting, which also has fragrant flowers, made up for it a lot

From Camping Por la Mar you have direct access to the beach without crossing any road, where you’ll find the beach of ‘Latte’. The camping offers bungalows, spacious pitches for tents and campers. Mit dem Auto aus Richtung Italien kommend: die Ausfahrt Ventimiglia nehmen, und von dort der Strada 20 in Richtung folgen. Dann Richtung Frankreich (Francia) bzw. Confine di Stato folgen. Sie fahren so durch einen Tunnel und erreichen das Örtchen Latte, …am Kreisverkehr fahren sie weiter geradeaus am Supermakrt CONAD vorbei und gleich nach 20 Metern liegt der Campingplatz links der Straße. Von der Autobahn bis zum Campingplatz sind es 6,7km. Aus Richtung Frankreich kommend: die Autobahnausfahrt Menton nehmen und in die Stadt fahren, vom Zentrum aus den Wegweisern nach Italien folgen bis zur Ortschaft Latte, der Campingplatz ist gleich nach der Ortseinfahrt auf der rechten Seite gut ausgeschildert.
