- K. K.July 2024Pozitivanew wash house beautiful sea access walking distance to the townNegativaNarrow access roadsbeautiful campsiteNice campsite which is divided into 2 areas.
The new wash house is great but could be cleaned more often.
Otherwise everything you need and very nicely laid outAutomaticky přeloženo. - Werner D.April 2024PozitivaQuiet in the low season, but everything you need is available, even a bakery and vegetable stall.NegativaI wouldn't necessarily recommend the places around the beach bar to those seeking peace and quiet, they can sometimes get noisy.Great CP, has everything you need!We stayed at the campsite for a week in mid-April and had a lovely pitch with a view of the sea. The pitches are all different but big enough for a normal caravan or motorhome. Sanitary TOP and always clean. If it's not the case, it's down to the guests and not the cleaning fairies. Brilliant bathing bay with hammer sunsets!!!! Not far to walk to the nice village of Vrsar. We will definitely be back.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Dieter K.September 2023PozitivaWinter camping, sauna wellness and very close to Vrisar.NegativaNoneVery good placeWas the first time at the sea in winter, will definitely be back and stay over New Year's Eve. Never thought it would be full.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Linda F.July 2023PozitivaWe are appalled by this place and therefore cannot name any advantages.NegativaWe feel totally ripped off and deliberately deceived. This campsite does not have a pool as the pictures and description suggest. There is indeed a pool, the use of which is tolerated, but by a different operator. This operator charges €6 per sun lounger and you also have to pay extra for an umbrella. When we expressed our horror at this, the campsite said there was nothing they could do, the pool was not part of the campsite. What a cheek! The list of complaints is endless. We booked with two other families. We were assured in advance that we could stay together, but nobody knew anything about it when we arrived. We called three times in advance. We would have had to pay an extra €100 per booking. More than two adjacent pitches were then no longer possible, as the third adjacent pitch was supposedly rented to another family for an extra €200. When we asked the family, they knew nothing about it. Here you get ripped off from start to finish. The wash houses are outdated, impractical, dirty and overcrowded. You have to queue to take a shower or wash the dishes. Our conclusion: Never, never again!!!Total rip-off, never again!!!See disadvantages, the list is very long.
Biggest rip-off we have ever experienced.Automaticky přeloženo. - Guido B.October 2022PozitivaTwo bays (separate dog beach), some large pitches, close to VrsarNegativaSome of the pitches are slightly sloping,Large space that doesn't look like itWe were there out of season. The campsite's own infrastructure (market, restaurant, pool) was already closed. But since you can walk to Vrsar in 10 minutes, that wasn't a problem. Despite the proximity, you can't hear anything from Vrsar in the evening/night. The sanitary facilities were always clean as there was always staff present. Both bays are nice for swimming. We liked it!Automaticky přeloženo.
- christian l.July 2022Pozitivatop campsiteNegativawide paths, not enough stairs to walk down at the backbookingWe have stayed at the campsite and in the mobile homes several times, we have always liked it. Unfortunately not this time. I reserved and paid for a specific pitch some time beforehand. When we arrived, we were told that we couldn't get this pitch for a deposit of 120 euros. So we were given a sunny... pitch without any shade! But as we have a tent trailer and a dog, this was out of the question at 34°C during the day!
Now we looked for another place in the back with shade, a nice place, but much too far away from the toilets and water, if the bladder pressed you had to walk 500 meters at night and back.
The pitch I had reserved stood empty for the next few days - I wondered what that was all about! Of the 120Euro deposit only 100Euro were charged. 20 euros of this was for booking fees...for a place that we didn't get, but which then stood empty for days.
Don't get me wrong, top staff, clean sanitary facilities, everything was fine. But I'll never book a pitch again. I'll just drive past and if there's nothing available, I'll just drive on. Best regards, Christian Landschof.Automaticky přeloženo. - Hartmut P.May 2022PozitivaVery friendly welcome and good service during the stay. Sanitary facilities very well maintained. Waste separation possible.NegativaThe number of garbage cans could be increased. Bathing for dogs requires courageous animals. Very stony and slippery entrance to the water.Very good CP with friendly service staffWe, a retired couple, had a very nice vacation with the caravan on this campsite. The cleaning staff were very diligent and kept everything very clean.
The reception staff were competent and very friendly.
The hard clay ground requires sturdy pegs. We used the "T-pegs".
Outside the high season you can... save yourself the very high reservation fee of 100 euros.
The clean pool is a substitute for swimming in the sea.
We will definitely come back to this campsite.Automaticky přeloženo. - Christian P.October 2021PozitivaVery clean and well maintained. Great sanitary facilitiesNegativaI can't think of any disadvantages.Very pretty place with beach (gravel)Were there in the off-season and it was a great stay. Very quiet and pleasant.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Klaus F.September 2021Pozitivagreat sanitary facilities, located directly by the sea, close to Vrsar, good diving centerNegativaSometimes uneven pitches, outrageous reservation fees, more leisure industry than tranquil campingGreat place with small flawsFriendly contact by email. Great place by the sea, with everything you need, clean sanitary facilities, absolutely great, especially those at the dive center. Dive center nice and German-speaking. Nice beach bar (not cheap). Pitches partly terraced, mostly easy to reach and big enough for large caravans,... but often very uneven.
Restaurant, snack bar, fairly large store, bakery and vegetable stall (quite expensive, but fresh) on site. Suitable for dogs.
Reservation fees quite high, the whole PortoSole Maistra construct is more of a leisure industry than a tranquil campsite.
For us, however, the advantages still outweigh the disadvantages.
You can reach Vrsar quickly on foot and you can explore a lot from Novigrad to Pula by car
Conclusion: A great campsite with a few flaws, but still almost perfect for us.Automaticky přeloženo. - Matthias B.September 2021PozitivaNothingNegativaToo expensive, very unfriendly and slow ladies at reception. Only pensioners on the site. Only a few pitches have a view of the lake and these are very expensive. Overall, the place is not recommended!Porto sole - never againThe ladies at reception are very unfriendly and slow. Overall, the place is not recommended. The few pitches with lake view are overpriced. Never again Porto sole!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Ulli P.August 2021PozitivaEverythingNegativaThe edge of the pool is sloping towards the inside, which is unfavorable when climbing out, the tiles at the entrance to the stairs are slippery and also sloping, which encourages falls.Beautiful facility in regional style, clean and cozyWe would love to come back and recommend the complex to others! Mobile home superior, clean, functional. Very cozy location, enough space and distance to the other homes. Very friendly staff, everything always clean.
The grounds are dotted with large trees and are in no way reminiscent of a Munich marketplace (again, other resorts!), but instead give off the typical local feeling. Very nice vacation!!!Automaticky přeloženo. - Bettina K.July 2021PozitivaGreat location due to proximity to Vrsar, new sanitary house by the sea, good diving center, pleasant access to the sea, good shopping facilities.NegativaMuch too loud especially by Dutch people, hardly maintained pitches with leaves / needles of several years, pitches are very uneven, access very narrow, narrow, dangerous with partly walls, permanent campers take many rights, electricity and water access far away, numbering of the pitches partly difficult to recognize, there were never and nowhere dog waste bags, the trash cans / garbage cans on the beach overflow daily and the garbage was scattered by the seagulls / animals at nightGreat location, good sanitary facilities, but very noisyWe will not be coming back. As described above, there are too many disadvantages and the worst are the inconsiderate, selfish (permanent) campers who return from Vrsar at night bawling. Far too loud and restless for us.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Karin M.June 2020PozitivaClose to Vrsar, within walking distanceNegativaoutdated sanitary facilitiesSquare close to the center that is getting on in yearsFriendly welcome on arrival. Since we traveled with Acsi, the first row is not possible,,,
2nd row was also fine! You can buy bread rolls on site in the morning, at the same price as in town.
There is also a fruit and vegetable vendor on site.
There is a supermarket in the direction of Funtana (Glaub... Plodine).
You can walk nicely along the sea to the village of Vrsar. A big drawback are the sanitary facilities, very old and I don't think they are cleaned regularly...
A bit grubby unfortunately :-(
We found out about the high reservation fees in passing when paying our bill...
In my eyes 100Euro too high...
For a short stay ok for us...I only wonder if the place is fully occupied ...Automaticky přeloženo. - Frank L.November 2019Winter camping recommendationWe've already been camping here twice in November. Of course, it's not comparable with the main season, but in the cooler, quieter November period, everything you need is available here in terms of infrastructure. The reception is always ready to listen and the campsite is an ideal starting point for exploring Istria.Automaticky přeloženo.
- daniel w.September 2019Pozitivaclose to the city beautiful clear waterNegativasanitary facilities a disaster poor organization high reservation feesplace quite okay but the organization a catastrophewe had already reserved 2 pitches in january and paid a fee and deposit for them. when we arrived in september we were told that the reserved pitches were not next to each other. this was only possible if you paid an extra 100€ per pitch as a fee? the second pitch was rather a joke, there was a tent... on arrival, there was no room for more. we wanted to put a motorhome on it. after a long back and forth, a solution was found after 2 days. the wash house is totally outdated and run down. we heard from some campers that a renovation is promised every year. cleanliness also left a lot to be desired, often dirty and filthy at peak times. one of the cleaning ladies preferred to have her cell phone to her ear than to clean. the same mop was used to clean the wash house and the shower without changing or washing out the cloth, the main thing was the cell phone to the ear. the fruit stand unfortunately had no fresh produce, but at the neighboring fkk camping. there was fresh fruit / vegetables. we have met many people who have been coming to the place for years and are more disappointed every year. really a pity. the place is super nice, short distance to the beautiful harbor to stroll. the water is very clear, the entrance is good.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Heinrich K.September 2019PozitivaSize of the pitches with fresh and waste waterNegativaItalian Rotten!Camping is absolutely top! What the previous writer said here is absolute nonsense! We are here at the moment and the food in the restaurant was very good. The pizzas are also much better than in Germany. The sanitary facilities are very clean, and if they're not, it's the guests. We like it here very much.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Daniel K.August 2019PozitivaVery good WLAN on site Only 5 minutes walk to VrasarNegativaThe place and the sanitary facilities not clean Not much on offer for young people Staff very unfriendly Restaurant badThose who usually vacation in Italy will unfortunately be disappointed hereThe place is beautifully situated and it takes 5 minutes to walk to Vrasar. Unfortunately, you can forget the restaurant, pizza with analog cheese that doesn't taste good, Djuvec rice is more like porridge, anyone who has ever been to a Croatian restaurant in Germany has certainly eaten better. Fortunately,... you can eat very well in Vrasar and at a reasonable price. Rovinj is also worth a visit, and the food here is also better and cheaper. The pitches are not very clean, you have to clean up the garbage from the previous campers. The sanitary facilities are ok, you can still find toothpaste in the sinks in the evening that was already there in the morning. It is very loud on the campsite, many people only stay 3 nights, so EVERY morning you can hear people driving from 5am and people keep coming at night, there is no peace and quiet here. On 3 out of 13 nights there was such loud music coming from outside the campsite that it was impossible to sleep. The beach is nice, there are also small meadows where you can lie. 100 Euro reservation fee, that's a joke! In general, however, I have to say that anyone who usually goes on vacation in Italy will be disappointed.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Tamara W.August 2019PozitivaI can only give 5 stars for the location of the campsite and the proximity to Vrsar.NegativaSanitary facilities are in desolate condition. Playground, pool, children's pool could do with renovation. 100€ reservation fee, rip-off.Our last vacation in Porto Sole for the time being, as there are certainly better places. We have been in porto sole for 10 years now, and this was the last time. Nothing is being done on the site, everything is outdated except the new wash house. Playground, if you can say playground, pool all in need of renovation, the sanitary buildings and toilets are totally outdated and too little for... this place. A wash house is only good. You can find garbage on the pitches, everything from bones to plastic, there is no one there to check the cleanliness after departure. Only the entrance area is maintained. The 100€ reservation fee is a pure rip-off, as unfortunately nothing is done for the site. The road to the naturist area is very dirty on the left and right. The aqua aerobics are far too loud at lunchtime. The childcare leaves a lot to be desired, with a makeshift plastic fence, with gaps in it that are open, and that right next to the road. 100€ reservation fee, rip-off, because nothing is done for the place.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Martin B.July 2019Pozitiva- beautifully situated - Friendly staffNegativaChildren's activities (water, table tennis) for a fee, too badBeautiful placeWe were here for 2 weeks and had booked pitches 151 and 152. However, with our large camper van we had some problems getting into the pitch, as the access roads are quite narrow in places. Otherwise the choice of pitch was very good, we had 2 kids with us and the 10m to the sea was ideal. Sure, no sandy... beach, but the kids had a great time. We still had an old sanitary facility downstairs, but there was a new and modern one above us, both were always clean if it weren't for the typical piglets.... Space offers: Pool, tennis and table tennis courts (both for a fee), restaurant, small store, fresh bread rolls, bouncy castles in the water (unfortunately also for a fee). After a weather caper, the campsite issued us with a confirmation for the insurance without even asking.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Helmut R.June 2019PozitivaPremium seats with all connectionsNegativaGastronomy closes relatively earlyInsider tipActually, I should keep the following to myself because it's an insider tip. We were here at the end of June 2019 and were happy with our choice of pitch. A very friendly welcome from the German-speaking staff and a generous choice of pitches promised a great vacation. With a caravan, 3 adults, a child,... 4 Yorkshire terriers and a poodle, we quickly found a fully shaded pitch with premium facilities. Electricity, fresh water and waste water directly at the pitch made the whole thing much easier. 100m to the beach, ATM, supermarket, smaller service providers and pizza to go in the restaurant made the heat bearable. A trip to Pula and a dolphin safari rounded off the whole experience. As it wasn't vacation time everywhere, the campsite wasn't overcrowded. 5 sanitary buildings were constantly cleaned and there was a dog shower at two of them. All in all, a wonderful vacation which we would recommend without reservation.Automaticky přeloženo.
