The bread roll service is particularly noteworthy.NegativaOur pitch was equipped with grass pavers. Actually an advantage. But: no chance of getting our screw pegs (plate head) for the awning into the ground. Dutch people gave us rock pegs (extra thick). We were then able to peg down the tent with these.Fully successful camping vacation, with a small drawbackWe are first-time campers and have had a really good time there. The last time we camped there was about 40 years ago.
Always nice. It was our own stupidity with the pegs.
But it won't happen to me again. I have already ordered good ones.
This campsite is highly recommended.
This was not our last vacation, but our first in a long time.

Approx. 3 km to the town: For the sporty it's a steep uphill walk, downhill is easy or 2-3 times a day by bus and for the more comfortable by cab (approx. 10 €).
Top bread roll service with high-quality baked goods. Very friendly restaurant... with a small regional menu on site.
There is a lovely beer garden about 1 km away towards the town directly on the Tauber (very refreshing in the heat)

We stayed at this small campsite in the Tauber Valley as a couple with our dog in August 2020. All pitches are equipped with electricity, water and gray water drainage. A beautifully situated site with plenty... of space for the caravan or motorhome. The staff are friendly, but the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but were always clean. The site is ideal for dog owners as it is right next to the forest. The village of Detwang has two restaurants, which unfortunately were not open due to the coronavirus.
You can reach Rothenburg very quickly from the campsite. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, delicious bread rolls (order the day before), the sanitary facilities were adequate and always clean. The pitches were nice and large, there was still enough space for... a table, chairs, bicycles etc. From the campsite 1.5 km on various beautiful paths to Rothenburg. Many marked hiking trails and the Tauber cycle path also passes right by the site.

Whether summer, spring or before Christmas, it's a good place. Unfortunately it was closed when we returned from our winter vacation at the beginning of January. Sanitary facilities quite tidy, but very old. Fittings completely calcified. There is a bread roll ordering... service. You can eat well at the "Schwarzes Lamm". The pitches in the front area are well paved and not muddy even in the fall when it rains. There is also electricity a short distance away and good WIFI. The large sanitary building looks a bit old-fashioned due to the tiles, but on closer inspection almost... everything is very well maintained, clean and in good condition. Only the shower heads in the shower could do with some love. I really like the fact that the shower room with cubicles and the washroom (also with cubicles) are separate, so you're not standing in the steam all the time. Very tasty baked goods on pre-order. Unfortunately, the bus connection is a bit poor, but that's not the operator's fault. We will certainly visit Rothenburg again and then visit this place again.Automaticky přeloženo.
