Dirty, run down and unfriendly
No recommendation!
The sanitary facilities are terrible and I really don't have high expectations. The facilities are one(!) container for the whole site, it smells, it's moldy, and the showers only have a curtain. The registration hut is ancient, dirty and totally run-down. The treatment of guests is very unfriendly.... Neither the nightly rest periods nor the midday rest (which is stipulated in the contract) are observed. Cars are constantly driving across the site and late at night you can still hear music and noise from other sites. The people at the campsite do nothing about it. Absolutely no recommendation! This is the worst campsite I've ever been to!

catastrophic condition!
if you have your own shower and toilet, the space is ok
Registration building ancient, disastrous containers, everything untidy and dirty. All the garbage is lying on the ground right next to it! The same ancient toilet containers on the grounds, in a catastrophically filthy state! I would never have used them in my life! Thank goodness we had our own toilet.... Very loud music from the permanent campers in the evening until late at night. You still have to pay 16 EUR for that, cheek!!! We left immediately.

I wonder why that is?
Unfriendly reception. Railroad (freight trains) and road in the immediate vicinity.
Dirty sanitary facilities. Unkempt pitches. Wanted 5€ a day for waste disposal😧. Then took our waste with us. Not recommended.

Ancient sanitary facilities.
Actually a nice place, but ...
We were only there for a few days. Only a few guests, mainly permanent campers. A spacious, beautiful site, pitches distributed around the 3 lakes, spacious, well-kept lawn and with electricity and water connections. The half-timbered town of Melsungen is approx. 2.5 km away. Spangenberg (11 km) with... its half-timbered town center and castle is also interesting. Due to the location of the campsite between a busy road on weekdays and the railroad, which runs directly above the campsite entrance, it is only suitable to a limited extent for those seeking peace and quiet. We haven't seen sanitary facilities this old for a long time. 2 small containers, 2 showers and 2 toilets each, estimated to be 50 to 60 years old with equally old facilities. No hot water at the washbasins. However, the facilities are cleaned as well as possible. Bread roll service available, but the rolls tasted like they were from the day before. Kiosk with drinks only. The site management should urgently create rules for dog owners and ensure compliance. During the few days we had several unpleasant experiences, e.g. the bathing of dogs in the men's shower with corresponding hair residues. The price corresponds to the poor facilities. We paid €17 (2 people incl. €3 for electricity).
