Due to the challenging weather conditions, it wasn't necessarily the best camping vacation for us. But thanks to the whole team at the Malchow campsite, we always had great support and made the best of everything. They organized... the smallest bicycles for my 5-year-old, the harbour master came in the evening to help us moor the raft and the fresh croissants in the morning helped us get over the rain pattering on the tent roof. We'll be back - but then with more sun ☀️.

The restaurant was only open occasionally, but we were there in the low season, so it was adequate. Leisure facilities (bike rental, boat rental... etc.) are great. Staff very friendly. Quiet: The quiet times at night and at midday were always observed - even though the site was very busy (2 weeks during the summer vacations). Unfortunately, you can... hear the nearby highway when the wind is unfavorable - the proximity is an advantage for the journey, but unfortunately not for the one or other cozy evening.
Site condition: The sanitary facilities are very well thought out, available in sufficient numbers (even at "peak times" when washing up ;-)) and are cleaned regularly and meticulously. The team on site cannot be held responsible for the lack of civilization of individual guests...
The paths are definitely rustic in one place or another, but that's okay: we're talking about NATURE camping here, right? And the fact that the paths are not smoothed out like a highway perhaps does prevent some guests from speeding through to their own pitch. So it fits.
Staff: The staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant could have been open more often, but that is probably also a sign of a lack of manpower (like everywhere else...).
Lake: The bathing area is perfect for young and old. The lake is quite shallow at this point over long stretches of shoreline and can therefore be used for nice SUP trips (little boat traffic).
Reception: The only real drawback is the lousy cell phone reception coupled with the lack of WiFi. We don't need long online sessions on vacation, but it would be nice to have a weather or map app or to be able to google the next destination. Of course, the site operator can only do so much about this, but it did spoil our mood from time to time.
Conclusion: We would love to come back. We can't really understand the reviews we've read here.Automaticky přeloženo.
