I didn't see this and we had to leave after a long journey. They had all my contact details and didn't ask if it would stay that way. We really didn't know where to go. Unfortunately, it rained very heavily all the time during our stay in 2023. We stood on the 1st terrace and had to realize that the water on our pitch did not run off at all. After 2 days it was so muddy that the mud came through the awning carpet. As only three... pitches were still occupied, the management must have noticed the situation. Planks etc. should have been provided to make the situation a little easier for us. Unfortunately, there was no response from the management. Incidentally, the customer is not greeted either. This does not apply to the nice lady at reception, who was visibly uncomfortable with our complaint.

The majority were day campers (cyclists and motorcyclists) who stopped for one night.
Many hikers from the road also used the sanitary facilities.

Right next door: sports arena with the opportunity to play bowling, tennis (outdoor and indoor) or enjoy the family outdoor pool. In addition, the campsite is located... on a wide stream and allows you to "swim" or hike there in 5 to 10 minutes on foot - the 2.5 hour hike is worth it: great gorge with bridges and a beautiful path. Further possibilities on site:
- Sports stores invite you to go shopping
- Good food (e.g. wine tavern, not necessarily in the sports arena, which is also a restaurant)
- Bunker museum in Moos in bad weather, otherwise prefer the mountains (approx. 10 minutes by car or 10 minutes by bus - bus stop virtually right next to the campsite)
- eBike rental at the campsite, which also allows a trip to Merano (20km) by bike
- Further hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity
Note: Arrival from Sterling via Jaufenpass is possible with the Womo and shorter than driving via Merano. Steep gradients with engine brakes are no problem, you can also turn right to let the faster cars and motorcycles out. If you are driving over the pass, we recommend the following:
- Stop at the top of the pass and enjoy :-)
- Visit the Gilfenklamm gorge near Sterzing (not good for dogs, as the bridges and paths are secured with bars and there is a risk of injury to paws)
- Castles in and around Sterzing
- Be sure to do your shopping beforehand - it's a bit tight to get to the supermarkets with a motorhome (no problem with a car)
- Sports stores in St. Leonhard are also worth a visit for a bargain or two.
- Numerous really impressive waterfalls on site
- Climbing with a guide on site
We were there for too short a time and would recommend at least 5 nights. It is nice and quiet. The plumbing is kept exceptionally remarkably clean. Each site has its own water tap and power connection. Ample sandwich service and sale of produce from their own farm. You can also rent bikes. It is also not far to some beautiful passes. Unfortunately, this is also one of... the disadvantages. The access roads to the passes run above the campsite and seem to be just as popular with fans of big motorcycles as they are with disguised racing drivers of various horsepower cars. These motor "sportsmen" often appeared in packs, which was accompanied by a corresponding background noise. The operator cannot do anything about this, nor can he change it. Visitors should just expect it. As night fell, it became quieter, so that you could still sleep peacefully. The very cramped and somewhat difficult access and routing on the site should not be overlooked. We had already mastered the steep approach with its tight bends to the terraced pitches when we were forced to uncouple by a completely out-of-place lamppost shortly before our destination. However, with the help of our friendly neighbors and the friendly operator, this was ultimately not an obstacle either. There is a small play area for smaller children on the site, but older children have to move to the surrounding area. The neighboring outdoor pool was unfortunately closed. Our dog was welcome on the site. When we went for a walk directly in front of the site, we found several bag stations and always met like-minded people, the dog to sniff and play, we for a little chat. The modern, bright sanitary facilities, the cleanliness there and elsewhere on the site and the warm friendliness of the entire site team deserve special praise.Automaticky přeloženo.
