Quiet, everything clean
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the right place
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Everything is clean, the groundsman is a permanent camper and very nice. If you have any questions he will help you, otherwise you can just sit by the lake and enjoy the peace and quiet. If we are in the area again, we would definitely go there again.

Beautiful club-run campsite
The campsite is located between Leipzig and Dresden, approx. 15 km from Grimma and can be used as an ideal base for various excursions into the surrounding area (Grimma, Wermsdorf, Leipzig etc.). The site is well maintained and the sanitary facilities are in good order. There is a small lake adjacent... to the site, but it was not usable during our visit because the blue-green algae had struck. The site has various play equipment for children, older stone table tennis tables and a large fire pit. The pub is not open to the public. You should bear in mind that this site is run by an association and not a private business.

Idyllically situated on the long Roda lake
The campsite is not where it is indicated. You can find it by driving through Mutzschen, then through Roda to the Langen Rodaer See. From the highway exit Mutzschen it is about 6km. The landscape is very idyllic and quiet. When we arrived there was no one on the tourist site. As the buildings were in... a pitiful state and the reception looked deserted, we wanted to leave. An older permanent camper then explained to us that you have to open and close the gate yourself. The sanitary facilities have been beautifully and modernly renovated inside. There are 2 antique electricity boxes with Schuko sockets, modern showers with chip, everything technically well solved. The women's toilets have a modern chemical toilet emptying system. Unfortunately there is no possibility to buy anything and the restaurant is only open on weekends. The lake itself is populated by 1000s of carp, ducks and swans. Therefore BATHE AT YOUR OWN RISK! But it is very popular for swimming. The area is wonderful for hiking and cycling, huge forests with many ponds, excavation sites, etc. Whether to recommend the place? Everyone should decide for themselves. The facades are now at the top of the renovation plan. We felt quite comfortable here. The people here are all very nice.
