The newer building was overcrowded with so many campers and the old sanitary building is not really inviting. As we had booked a canoe tour with the rental company directly on site, it was very practical to stay here again this time. This time, however, with a caravan. On arrival, we were only asked if we had been here before and... that we could choose our own pitch. As it was already very crowded on the pitches opposite the sanitary building, we decided on a pitch in the rear area. When we wanted to supply the caravan with electricity, we realized that all the power boxes on this side were out of order. We couldn't find any information on the distribution board. We were also not informed when we arrived. Very frustrating when you have already unhooked the caravan from the car and set it up. We decided to run the fridge on gas and camp without electricity for the time being. The next day, some of the campers had left and we were able to connect to a distant distributor thanks to an extension lead we had connected together. If we had been informed on arrival, the trouble could certainly have been avoided. It is also very sad that the operator has not provided a temporary solution since Pentecost, as we had learned. And for €40 a night, we thought that was pretty cheeky. You can definitely tell that this place is just being skimmed and nothing has been invested in for 12 years. The sanitary facilities are quite old. The staff at the registration desk were very nice. The site has no fixed pitches and poor to very poor paths. Four-wheel drive with ground clearance required.
The snack bar was very good and offered fresh products. The prices... for the food were good.
I would have removed some of the permanent campers if I were the tenant or owner. Loud music is played and alcohol is drunk in large quantities. There is also loud arguing and shouting.
The site still has a lot of room for improvement. The electricity and water supply is quite difficult to non-existent. Long pipes are needed. The site was quite full and well frequented. It should be maintained a little more. The prices are okay but I would pay more if the site was in better condition. The green areas should also be better maintained. Especially in the area for permanent campers.
We would come again as we are not luxury campers but are dependent on water and electricity.

It was wonderfully relaxing, with hardly any guests on the campsite apart from a few occasional permanent campers. As the reception was not manned that day, we received a nice phone call from the operator who explained everything to us.... Payment went smoothly by bank transfer. Arrival with transponder in the safe.
I don't understand how you can write such bad reviews about the campsite. We didn't want for anything. We arrived around 10am and spent the whole day riding our bikes along the wine route (beautiful scenery, wonderful impressions and nice wine bars all along the way). When we got back in the early evening, we took a shower and cooked ourselves dinner. A really cute campsite cat (black and white) visited us from time to time and came to be stroked.
The sanitary block is a bit outdated and could do with a bit more cleaning, but it was perfectly fine for one night. I suspect this is because there was simply nothing going on on the campsite. I think when it's high season, more attention is paid to cleanliness.

Great cycling tours are possible directly from the campsite and Naumburg is also easily accessible by bike. The site itself is ok if you don't have high expectations. Most of the paths are very poor, with deep ruts... and holes and purely off-road paths without paving, which also makes walking in the wet exciting. The pitches are not parceled out so that you can choose the "best" spot. In the fall, this is not a problem at all at super times such as Pentecost or Ascension Day, it can certainly be tight, also because the site is rather uneven. The sanitary facilities are ok, especially as they are clean, but when there is a lot going on, the capacity could be tight as the site is really big. The restaurant on the site deserves a special mention, from the outside it doesn't really make an inviting impression, but the food was so great that we would definitely go there again. Nice restaurants.Beautifully situated campsite for people looking for relaxation !!!We can only report positive things (from our point of view) about this campsite. We were only there on the WoE, Friday-Sunday. Very nice staff. The sanitary facilities are partly new, but nothing negative can be said about the old ones either, except that they are not up to the latest standard. The pond... in the middle of the campsite is not for swimming, but it exudes a wonderful calm in the evening, the fish come close to the shore, huge pieces. Some of the vacationers jump into the water, but it's clearly not allowed. The free choice of spot is great. We chose something at our leisure. We were there with our dog, there is a fenced area especially for four-legged friends, so they can run around off the lead. Wonderful. Everything has been thought of. Two small drawbacks: we were there very late and didn't know that the small restaurant is only open until 8pm. In this respect, of course, the restaurant "Zur Henne" about 1.5 km away on foot had something from us as guests for 2 days, we ate there and were more than satisfied!!!!!!!! The second: there is a canoe rental. Very nicely done. When the property closes, there are several dogs in the area. We walked along there with our dog and felt quite funny when these big dogs kept barking and jumping up at the fence. It wasn't very nice. Good thing the fence was quite sturdy. If you like absolute luxury and swimming, this campsite is not for you. But if you like the peace and quiet and the quiet experience of hiking, then this is the right place for you. There is also a great parking area in front of the campsite. You can get the ferryman out of his ferry house with a firm tap on an iron hanging there. He then comes over on the ferry to pick you up. That is a highlight in itself. On the opposite side is a small wine-tasting inn. The owner has been there for 19 years, the wines and the warmth - highly recommended. So, enough writing now. Everyone goes on vacation differently, everyone feels things differently. I can only speak from our point of view. The CP will definitely see us again.Automaticky přeloženo.
