The washroom facilities were clean and good.
There is a restaurant on the banks of the Weser with a well-stocked menu and decent food.
Checkin and checkout at... the machine went smoothly.
However, electricity is billed and activated separately at reception.
The banks of the Weser are a great place to relax, as you are far enough away from the nearest major roads and can only hear nature.
Hameln is close by and easily accessible.
The village store on the other side of the Weser, which is easily accessible via the nearby Fahre, is just as a village store should be.Automaticky přeloženo.- G. For some people, the automatic pay station and getting electricity is a bit complicated, but this is explained in detail on the information sheets. Electricity could be a bit cheaper.

It's very quiet during the week, but often noisy at the weekend. The whole site is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly. There are almost unlimited excursion possibilities, both to towns and into the countryside. The view from the pitches is wonderful. With a watchful dog, it's better to take a place in the back row.Small but niceWe liked the place very much. Sanitary facilities and waste disposal station five stars, pub and beer garden including service staff five stars. At the bread roll service you sign up on a list, pay and have your bread rolls the next morning from 8:00 am.
We then took the idyllic little ferry to the other... side of the Weser to go to the little store. In the winter months there are also great parties in the Almhütte. Dogs free of charge,NegativaAbsolutely unfriendly staffNice place with service that could be improvedWe initially set up on a pitch above the mountain pasture as we were invited to a family party there. As the electricity connections there weren't working, the neighbors advised us to go to reception to have the electricity switched off. We are actually self-sufficient, but our dog was supposed to be... in the caravan while we were at the party - and at 35 degrees in the shade, the air conditioning had to work. The lady at reception asked me if I couldn't read, a sign did indeed point out that these pitches were without electricity - the only strange thing was that the neighbors had electricity. When I asked if we weren't self-sufficient, and I said "yes" - but we need the air conditioning - the answer was "it's your own fault" - I thought that was very rude. Otherwise, the site was great - the pitch we had was good, the sanitary facilities were clean and tidy, the dog didn't cost anything and the price-performance ratio was great. Unfortunately, the reservation fee is not refunded. The pitch costs €20/night including showers and waste disposal. Fresh water is chargeable. The pitch is graveled in the first 2 rows. If you want to secure your marker, you should stay from the 3rd row onwards.... Here is more meadow and soft ground. The restaurant and sanitary facilities are excellent. The major construction site is currently a drawback. Arrival and departure possible at any time thanks to automatic payment.NegativaMajor construction site due to new hotel building until the end of 2020In the countryside at the excursion restaurant but now a major construction siteThe motorhome site is located at the well-known excursion restaurant Grohnder Fährhaus, approx. 15 km from Hameln on the Weser. It is a small campsite for permanent campers and motorhome pitches where caravans are also permitted. Automatic check-in/out at the machine. Unfortunately, the former guesthouse... there is currently (29.09.2019) being demolished, after which a new hotel will be built there. Corresponding construction machinery and noise on the site. This is likely to remain the case until the end of 2020 as the motorhome site is also likely to be extended, at least construction is underway there. The sanitary facilities are entered with a chip card (parking card) and are clean. There are also 2 rental bathrooms. Electricity is paid for by charging the parking card at the machine. The restaurant on site is very well known with a beer garden and has typical Bavarian food (I found portions especially schnitzel small, prices normal in the middle range). Arrival and departure possible at any time. Weser cycle path directly through the square. Some of the motorhome pitches have a direct view of the water. The proximity to the Grohnde nuclear power plant is the only thing worth mentioning. The sanitary facilities are second to none, especially considering the low prices. The motorhome... pitches by the water are only suitable for vehicles up to approx. 7m in length. The pitches at the front on the Weser are great, those at the back on the large pitch are OK. You drive up to the barrier, take a ticket and drive onto the pitch, this is always possible, so you don't need to register. Choose your... pitch and park. If you can't find a suitable pitch, you can drive out again free of charge within 10 minutes. You need small change to fill up with water. Sanitary building very nicely done. Bicycles can be rented at the reception. There is a bread roll service where you can pre-order bread rolls for the next day until 17:00. We were at the front of the Weser, very nice and quiet, only the Weser cycle path runs through the site, but didn't bother us. The restaurant serves typical Bavarian dishes.
