I have no idea how some of the bad reviews here come about. Everyone is super friendly, clean sanitary facilities and a seaside resort that comes close to a vacation by the sea. It was the perfect short vacation for us. It seems as if they have no desire to do their job. The lady who is solely responsible for the permanent pitches never seems to be there. - Anne G.July 2017PozitivaRestaurant, kiosk, fun park, minigolf course.NegativaThere are not so many tourist spots.Great lake with fun parkWe stayed at the campsite in Kahl am Main for two nights and three days in July 2017. We were thrilled. The showers and toilets are right next to the pitches and there is also a very good Italian restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the lake in the immediate vicinity. On the other side of the... lake there is a small store with a snack bar where we could get our bread rolls in the morning. There is another kiosk right on the sandy beach. Tall trees provide shade on the beach and there is a great fun park in the water. A freshly planted hornbeam hedge in front of the fence separates the pitch from the road and some trees cast shade on the pitches. It's really lovely there. However, you should book early as there are only a few tourist pitches available. The staff are very friendly, we were given very good advice when we booked and we particularly liked the staff at reception, because when we asked if we could stay a day longer, they did everything they could and made it possible by changing our pitch. Covered 100 km by bike and with luggage after just two days. And just want to eat and sleep. ..... But nothing. The campsite is on a slope to the lake and full of duck dung. Drawing water from the toilet is strictly forbidden. Still water costs 1.80... euros for 0.5 liters. At the showers 1 Euro for 4 minutes and there is no rest at night! The party goes on until 2 a.m. and at 6 a.m. people ring the church bells and a thousand ducks chatter next to the tent. From 7.00 a.m. the partying and air mattress pumping continues with compressors. Clean sanitary facilities, unfortunately only one flushing point with hot water, so take a wash tub with you. The tourist site is actually a manageable size and, as already mentioned, unfortunately right on the road. We had a very relaxed and quiet weekend with our children... - as did our neighbors with children. It's not quite understandable that people are upset about the Euro for showering, while you only pay 12 EUR for the pitch with car + caravan - the money has to be earned somewhere. Shower time is sufficient and is also displayed. Kiosk is in the "permanent camper area" which is a village of its own here with 900 to 30. Well equipped with everything you need. We have never experienced anything like it. There was bawling until 3 o'clock at night. Security did nothing about it. Dogs are not allowed to leave the road 10 cm then they complain because they are then in the hundred meter wide beach area. Pitches by the water all occupied by permanent campers.The lake is beautiful, but that's almost it...We were in the tourist area on the last weekend of June 2015. This is located directly on a road in the industrial area, where there is constant traffic. Opposite us was a group of about 10 young men who were bawling late into the night on Friday. The security service only got the situation under control... with the help of the police. There was also a group of footballers who were also very loud. Somewhat overworked staff at the registration desk, but that's understandable with so many bathers (6000 on this hot Whit Monday). Our pitch was big enough, unfortunately on the edge of the campsite. The cars could not be ignored - but there... are also nicer places on the inner ring road. Older sanitary facilities, the showers with their shower cards took some getting used to - but clean. Perfect: the beach, the playground and the lake!!! In general, the campsite is designed more for permanent campers and bathers. When it's full, there are certainly problems with washing up - only one pool with hot water... There is electricity and water directly at the campsite. There is an Italian restaurant on site with super fast staff and always friendly even with 4 small children.... The kiosk is well stocked with fresh bread rolls, cakes and everything else. There is also a REWE about 5 km away, which is open until 10 pm. All in all, a great vacation!Automaticky přeloženo.

Lake and mini reef right next to the site, well-stocked small supermarket with fresh bread rolls etc. The sanitary facilities still need some work, unfortunately no storage facilities, which is especially bad if you have to go into the shower with a child.
