As we were getting married nearby on a lighthouse, we took up the offer of the vacation hut. The site team was super friendly and you could get your sandwiches early in the kiosk. Even if you arrived a little late, there were only friendly people.... Everything on the pitch was very clean. From the sanitary facilities to the pitches and the surrounding area. There are lots of excursion options from here. From Emden to Norddeich there is a lot to experience. Whether on foot, by bike or mobile, there is something for everyone. The small kiosk only has the bare necessities on offer. Otherwise you have to be mobile to shop. Peace and relaxation are the order of the day. Walks are wonderful. My son and I stayed there for a week. Our pitch was generously sized. As we were able to choose a pitch, we weren't allowed to complain that the sanitary block wasn't within stone's throw. The sanitary facilities had... probably undergone a thorough renovation not too long ago, everything was in top condition and clean. There is a lack of shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity, you have to be mobile, but when you look at the location of the Knock, this is self-explanatory, you are just far out. Everything is very close to nature and the area is characterized by agriculture. This remote location also explains why you shouldn't rely on being mobile there. In any case, you get excellent access to Dutch mobile phone providers, whereas German ones are only available if you climb the dyke. Free WiFi, even if only at the kiosk, would be an enrichment. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. We can only hope that it stays that way and that the expansion of the Emden harbor in Rysumer Nacken does not go beyond the planning stage. You receive a warm welcome and are also looked after during your stay. The association that runs the site is very committed, TOP! Sanitary facilities as good as new, clean and well maintained. Well-kept... and reasonably sized pitches. Nice children's playground available. Small kiosk with bread roll service and small snacks. Only friendly campers encountered. Dogs are welcome.NegativaNone Just a little bit of the kiosk, which must be thinking now.Always happy to repeat offenders with children and dogsHere on the Knock it is pure relaxation, the place is quiet and yet full of life. The sanitary facilities are new and very clean. The association puts its heart and soul into everything it does, the playground has new play equipment, the staff are more than friendly and the permanent campers are just... great. Children of all ages feel very comfortable here and only come by sporadically - at home. We always had a good feeling and someone always knew where the little ones were. Neon-colored displays (on "our" main street) remind us that there are small and big children everywhere. Great IDEA 👍 The kiosk has new tenants, they are very friendly 🌸 Bread rolls are freshly baked in the morning, the food is plentiful and the prices are good. Only the opening hours and the range of food (dishes, salads, snacks) need to be reconsidered.... For example, the cyclists are still hungry in the evening when they arrive (a quick hot soup or something - and a little more variety in the menu would have made us eat there more often) It would certainly be worthwhile to offer food at lunchtime too (at least during all vacations), it's clear that it's not buzzing every day - but word gets around that it's open again at lunchtime😉 The dog people + dogs are also happy here. The dogs are allowed to run freely on a meadow and also have access to the water, it's clear that you have to clean up your dogs' poop EVERYWHERE (even on the meadow by the water!)! The kids and we also walk barefoot here. This great place should not become annoying because: 🚩in the play sand, 🚩on the plot, 🚩on the paths and meadows or anywhere else there are dog mines. There are FREE dog poo bags at the kiosk!!! Dog fences are allowed. Enough writing - just one more sentence. WE WILL BE BACK ☺ I've probably forgotten a thousand things that make this little place, which is so lovingly run, so special. Which I couldn't say about the rest of the sanitary facilities either. As a camper, you shouldn't set your expectations sooo high. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area doesn't have much to offer but is ideal for long bike rides.
