- J. M.July 2017Pozitivaquiet location with many excursion possibilities, sea viewNegativasloping pitches, swimming poolGreat location, great view, swimming pool inadequateVery nice, spacious campsite with a view over the sea. Most pitches sloped so you have to look where you can set up. we had a hard stand though, which was great. Really many toilets and showers, in good condition, were cleaned often, but were still not always clean. ------- The swimming pool is small... and not so nice, but the water and the walls seemed clean to me. The entrance is hidden away and the changing rooms and the shower inside were in a really bad state and smelled of mold. Unfortunately, it was only possible to use the swimming pool with a child from 11.00 am and it was closed again at 7.00 pm, which was a shame on the long summer days during the vacations. ----- The reception was friendly but not very informative, we had to ask about a lot of things afterwards. ---- The nearest towns are very small but absolutely lovely, nice beach, plenty of parking (pay and display), good takeaways. Swansea and therefore a wide range of shopping and excursion options are within easy reach.---- CONCLUSION: We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the site to others. IMPORTANT: The approach with a 6.5 m caravan with excess width (2.50 m) was difficult, it is essential to check the homepage or by telephone beforehand to find out which route is the best/widest.Automaticky přeloženo.
- moni I.August 2015Pozitivagreat location with a view of the sea, good bus connections, nice for those seeking peace and quiet and hikers, close to the beach, swimming pool, dogs no problemNegativanot for party people, very nice place in a dreamlike location with sea viewi was a guest at the campsite in august/september 2016.very friendly and helpful staff, the sanitary facilities were simple but clean, the food and drink offer very good, the location is fantastic, view of the coast/beach, in less than 10 minutes you can walk down to the very nice clean sandy beach,... there are fantastic hiking trails along the coast and inland, with a local hiking map no problem at all,you won't get lost in the hinterland either, bus connections are available, dogs travel for free on the bus train underground in the UK, I had my dog with me, it was no problem on the beach, never on the way either, I found the Welsh very dog-friendly, the lawn on the site was well maintained, I would visit this place again anytime.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Elke K.June 2015PozitivaBeautiful coastNegativaslightly off the beaten track as a starting point for destinations in South WalesDreamlike on the coastThe journey leads from Swansea through the beautiful landscape of the Gower peninsula. Follow the campsite's instructions on arrival and don't listen to the satnav, otherwise we would have got stuck with our caravan! The satnav route is signposted as "unsuitable for long vehicles". The site is beautifully... situated above a bay, which can be reached on foot in just under 10 minutes. During the week we were almost alone on the camp, towards the weekend it gets busier - as is usual in the UK - with weekend campers. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, so we first had to try out which ones still worked for showering. As a starting point for excursions in South Wales, the site is a little out of the way and it takes a good half hour to get to Swansea each time. You should take that into account. Otherwise, the peninsula is also ideal for wonderful hiking tours or excursions.Automaticky přeloženo.
