There is also only one water tap. Not necessarily bad for campers, but worth mentioning.Very nice terraced nature campsiteIn light autumn muddy weather we were with the caravan on the pitch at the very back, down directly on the water. If it rains, you should wear sturdy shoes. The gravel was washed away a bit here, but it wasn't too bad. Otherwise fantastic, but a bit far to the sanitary building.
I really like the showers... with hand showers and timers. The cabins are 2-part and there are enough of them. The whole sanitary concept fits perfectly, e.g. as a spectacle wearer no problems with fogged up glasses when showering - perfect ventilation! We also have to praise the cleanliness, except when some campers can't use the water slide or trample into the shower with their flip-flops and make a mess...
Bread rolls are only available as a set of 4: 2 light and 2 dark ones in a bag for €3. This may not suit everyone, but it was just right for both of us.
Electricity is unlimited, which is no longer available everywhere.
The restaurant was highly recommended, but is now being completely remodeled. It remains to be seen whether the offer will change.
Overall a very quiet site, good location at 600 meters above sea level, conveniently located between Goslar and Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Perhaps a tip for hikers: we discovered the rocky hiking area near the Oker dam last evening. We phoned to find out whether there was still a pitch available for a camper van in the desired period.
The lady on the phone gave us competent and very friendly information and asked us to make a reservation by e-mail afterwards....
We then complied with this request and a short time later we already had a reservation confirmation.
The arrival went smoothly, as did the check-in.
Everything was explained to us (pitch, electricity, wash house, bread service etc.).
The campsite is located directly on a lake and is laid out in terraces.
The ground is mainly gravel and the pitches are separated by low rows of bushes.
The electricity connection is located directly on the pitch, drinking water centrally at the wash house.
The sanitary facilities are very inviting and absolutely clean. There was never any reason to complain about the level of cleaning.
The showers are generously sized and there are plenty of toilets and washbasins.
The disposal station (gray water and chemical toilet) is located next to the wash house.
There is also a machine for emptying and cleaning the toilet cassette.
The reception:
As already described, the staff are very friendly/nice and always concerned about the camper's well-being.
Information about the surrounding area was provided willingly and competently and they also responded in a friendly manner to repeated inquiries.
There is a small store attached to the reception.
Surroundings:
The campsite is close to Hahnenklee, the Bockberg with its summer toboggan run and the bike park.
You can reach the summit on foot, by bike or by lift.
Goslar and Clausthal-Zellerfeld can also be reached in a short time.Automaticky přeloženo.

Beautiful campsite in a quiet location. Very friendly staff and family friendly with a large playground. However, raccoons and foxes that also visit you in the awning at night. There is only one water tap and it is very far away depending on the pitch.
Clean and modern... sanitary facilities. There could be one more hairdryer here. The bread rolls are delicious, but are only available in packs of four.
Great starting point for hikes or a trip to Goslar, Bad Harzburg etc.

There a quite a few long stay campers, but there are plenty shaded pitches for short stay as well. Electricity everywhere, water at the main buildings. The sanitary facilities are spotless, almost beautiful. There is one restaurant on site... and one restaurant right next door. The little lake is perfect for swimming, hiking trails are right next door. The staff is outstanding, personal and friendly. The location is great for exploring the area. The forest, or the adventure mountain nearby, or Goslar town, all just wonderful. In short we highly recommend camping Das Kreuzeck! Family Snelder.

We liked it very much. Arrive, set up, view of the lake. The wash house is very modern and always clean. Everything is very attractively designed. Unfortunately no water and waste water on site, but that is also feasible. The operators are super nice and always... have an open ear. Bread roll service works very well.
The location is really nice. The Bocksberg with its leisure activities is not far away and you can get to Goslar and the surrounding area quickly.

- Ulrike K.July 2021PozitivaPure nature - we had a visit from raccoons and a red fox Sanitary facilities are nice and modern Bread roll service (standard bag with 4 rolls) - but the rolls are not that tasty :-( Bus stops at the campsite to go to Goslar (buses a bit unreliable though) Restaurant on site - Schoko - but you have to reserve the place - 2 shift operation, a slightly looser alternative is the Cafe Egerland. Beautiful hiking trails There are many children there, i.e. children quickly find friends to play with. The campsite is very busy, so you have to make a reservation.Negativa- Pitches near the water are reserved for campers staying longer than 5 nights - regardless of whether they are paddlers or not. You are somewhat inflexible with regard to pitch preferences - Pitches sometimes a little uneven and small.Beautiful family campsiteSee advantages and disadvantages. Depending on the pitch, it is very shady there and of course it is the Harz Mountains, so you have to be prepared for bad weather. Many pitches are not very big.
You are not allowed to leave anything outside because raccoons and foxes visit.

The location is great, right on a lake and central for excursions in the surrounding area. Ideal for hiking and camping with a dog. The sanitary building is quite new and was always clean during our visit. In the morning you can get a ready-made bag of bread rolls if you want for currently 2.50 € which is within reason.
