The allocated pitch was quite far from the sanitary facilities and not really pleasant at night with the uneven paths.
The lake is nice for swimming, it's just a shame that you can only get in from one side.
Also the way to wash up is too far.
Wifi did not work, the help was quite detailed and friendly, but unfortunately did not help.

The site has a direct connection to the Elbe cycle path. A bike tour to Tangermünde is recommended. Bread roll service.NegativaThe access road on the pitch should be re-gravelled, the puddles after heavy rain are almost impossible to negotiate. The sanitary facilities should be renovated soon. We would have liked to have eaten in the campsite restaurant, but unfortunately no reservation was made and of course, contrary to what the "boss" said, every seat was taken and we had to be turned away.Very quiet place - perfect for relaxing!The site is located in a very rural setting in the immediate vicinity of the Elbe. If you are looking for real peace and quiet, you will find it here. We didn't see any children. Very nice reception and a pleasant pitch. As expected, the place was very full, which was not disturbing on this large place. Showers a bit outdated but clean. Unfortunately no possibility to dry your hands, no dispenser only a few... toilet rolls, but that must have been the case before Corona. Shortcoming so you had to fumble the towel out of your pants with wet hands and put it back in the bucket, with the egg the regulated access of the people was regulated. Otherwise everything was fine. Disposal of the camper van was no problem. An insider tip for us. The site is on the edge of a small village, on the Elbe and Elbe cycle path. The operators are extremely friendly and helpful. The site offers spacious pitches in a park-like setting around a small pond. There... are a sufficient number and size of sunny and shady pitches. Very rare. The catering on site is good - there is a bread roll service and a restaurant with tasty food. The sanitary facilities were always well maintained and available in sufficient numbers. Showers are coin-operated, but this is now standard. Permanent campers are friendly and don't dominate the site. I recommend this site and a cycle tour to the historic old town in Tangermünde, 18 km away. We will be back!Automaticky přeloženo.
Andreas W.September 2018PozitivaFriendliness, cleanliness, tranquillity and delicious cuisine!NegativaCoin-operated showers!Camping Kellerwiehl on the first weekend of September 2018As we had long wanted to take a short camping vacation along the Elbe cycle path and visit the imperial town of Tangermünde, the Kellerwiehl campsite was the perfect place for us. All it took was a quick phone call and we were told that we were very welcome. The campsite is far away from the hustle and... bustle, but impresses with its wonderful tranquillity and cosiness. The cuisine deserves a special mention. We actually only wanted to eat there once, but we "sinned" every day. It was simply delicious. The menu is not really big, but you can eat it from top to bottom. Everything simply tastes good. Unfortunately, the "legendary Sahneschnitzel" is no longer available, but the other schnitzel variations are not to be sneezed at either. As already mentioned, the peace and quiet on the site is simply wonderful. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but spotlessly clean! You can't complain about that! One small drawback is the shower. Coin-operated shower! Sure, one euro isn't expensive, but why can't you add it to the price per person? The 4 minutes are long. I only need a good half of it to shower, but well...! Unfortunately, the "Elbe cycle path" towards Tangermünde hardly goes along the Elbe. The boss's recommendation to cycle backwards along the dyke was very good. Unfortunately, the Elbe ferry was unusable due to low water, so we could only cycle on the west side of the Elbe. Tangermünde was definitely worth a visit. Conclusion: Camping Kellerwiehl may not be in the center of the world, but it is certainly the first address for cyclists and water hikers looking for peace and quiet. The pitches are spacious, you have a free choice of pitch, contact with the few permanent campers is good. The internet works perfectly, and the shallow beach and clean... water are perfect for swimming. As the lake is connected to the Elbe by groundwater and the Elbe was quite shallow in 2018, the lake was only half as big as usual, but it was enough for bathing and swimming. After all, it's nobody's fault. We found the sanitary facilities modern and very clean. The operators are always available, extremely friendly and helpful. There are fresh bread rolls in the morning and an attractive menu during the day, and in the restaurant (with a large outdoor terrace) there is a lounge with a fireplace and a small library. So if you get bored, it's your own fault. Another tip for bikers (those with motorcycles): guys, great bends in the area, pot of coffee and delicious munchies. Whether in a tent or in the cozy log cabins, you can really relax here. The view of the Kellerwiehl lake in the early morning is wonderful.
