Camping with a view over the bay at Gairloch
The campsite in Gairloch is easy to find. The entrance is behind a restaurant. It is only a few steps to the sea. If you stand in the first row of the campsite you have a beautiful view over the bay. There are a few small stores near the campsite and a small supermarket on the main road. Not every wish... is fulfilled here, but you can get everything you need for cooking. There is a tourist information office with a garden center next door. Otherwise, Gairloch is quiet and tranquil. A few boats are moored in the small harbor. An overnight stay costs 19 pounds.

The location of the pitch is great, as long as you are in the 1st row and therefore have a view over the water. The service is friendly and informal. Just around the corner there are delicious "fish'n ships", freshly baked and other delicacies. If you want to go out to the lighthouse, you should be prepared for the rest of the walk if you are traveling with a motorhome. It's narrow and steep - no getting through! No parking on the way.
