From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most welcoming and helpful hosts who really make a difference to the experience. They have created an atmosphere of coziness and intimacy... where you immediately feel welcome.
The location couldn't be better - in the middle of beautiful, open nature with a fantastic view of the water. There's plenty of space to relax, take a deep breath and enjoy the changing colors of the landscape. The area offers great hiking, cycling routes and the opportunity to get close to nature.
Helnæs Camping is a place you don't just visit - it's a place you return to again and again. (Lunch break 12-14 o'clock) The CP is located about 15m above the Baltic Sea and is terraced, but unfortunately there is only a limited sea view. The pitches are generously sized, partly separated by hedges and generally consist... of dense grass. It is just under 400m to the water by road. The beach is narrow, mostly coarse gravel and not really suitable for sunbathing.
We were here in high season, at the end of July, and the site was only about 30% full.
Showers are included in the price and we were not charged for wifi. Barbecues with charcoal are allowed as long as there is no ban due to dryness.
The reception has a small store for the essentials and ice cream, which is very popular. Bread rolls can be pre-ordered for the next morning.
The site, including the sanitary facilities, looks a little neglected but is nevertheless clean.
Helnæs Kro (restaurant with outdoor terrace) is 750m away. To Helnæs Fyr (lighthouse) about 5km.

The buildings are not all brand new, but everywhere is neat and clean. The campsite is very quiet and peaceful, which was exactly what we needed. Everyone was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We took advantage of the offer to try sea kayaking. It was a fun and educational trip. Thank you for a great few days.Automaticky přeloženo.
