So far we have always been here outside the high season and not at weekends, which pays off. So you have peace and relaxation. The sanitary facilities are top! Always clean and well maintained. Some of the pitches are a bit uneven, but you have... a free choice when it's not full. There are almost all the leisure activities you could wish for here. From swimming to cycling or hiking to the jetty, everything is available. There is a playground for children and a shallow bathing bay. The campsite seems terribly crowded, even if the prescribed 4 m distance between the boats is observed. If you're also blessed with neighbors whose dogs attack... every time someone walks past in the night, there's no chance of relaxing. In general, the campsite was like an anthill. The service facilities were clean and modern, even if the constant background noise was annoying. In addition, there are not enough service facilities for the many visitors, at least as far as the kitchen and washing-up area is concerned. The dishwasher was also still broken. Another negative aspect was the number of permanent campers who occupied the best pitches on the lake and staked out their claim with fences and wooden terraces. The bathing area was very nice and also suitable for children. It was also nice to watch the sunset from the harbor pier.Automaticky přeloženo.

Be sure to visit the Falkängen artists' colony in Hällekis!NegativaUnfortunately, permanent campers occupy the pitches with the most beautiful lake view.Great campsite right on Lake Vänern, quiet location, fantastic lake view.We chose this site as an alternative to the campsite in Mariestad. It is located directly on the large Lake Vänern with a jetty, bathing area and tent pitches. Many of the pitches directly on the lake are occupied by permanent campers. Nevertheless, you still have a great view of the lake from some of... the pitches. Some pitches have a wooden terrace, which is great for motorhomes. First-class sanitary facilities, not separated for m/f, all individual showers, some cabins with shower, toilet and washbasin. Bread rolls can be delivered to the caravan in the morning on request. The nearest shop is a well-stocked Coop in Hällekis (5 min.), which can also be reached by bike.Automaticky přeloženo.

We got a great pitch on the plateau on the lakeshore with a wonderful view of the lake, even without a reservation! Nice little harbor / bay also for swimming.... Nice little mini golf course and a small store in reception. The sanitary facilities (also only accessible with a chip card) were the best on our entire trip to Sweden! Modern and very clean! As the campsite and Hällekis are "off the beaten track", you have to organize your meals in advance. Mariestad or Lidköping are good options for this. We had a wonderful place on the cliffs, far away from the sanitary facilities, but also far away from the coming and going of the overnight guests and the non-resident bathers. This is probably also the reason for the chip card access control, but it hardly bothered us. For us, it was the most beautiful spot on our first trip to Sweden.Automaticky přeloženo.

The location is beautiful and it is also very quiet. +-+-+ You can go on beautiful hikes in the surrounding area. For the little ones there is a playground area with trampoline & co. right near the entrance.... +-+-+ On arrival, the friendly site owner will give you a map of the site and you can choose a pitch. However, it is important to note that the right-hand wheel of the camper van (the middle between the right-hand wheels for motorhomes) is always placed on the red plate in the ground in order to maintain the legally prescribed minimum distance of four meters from the neighbors. This is understandable and makes perfect sense, but somehow doesn't really fit in with the actually quite relaxed atmosphere. +-+-+ You get three chip cards per pitch (2x wash house and 1x barrier), a key and another chip for the power connection. The electricity box is unlocked with the key, the chip is placed there and the electricity is switched on. At the end of your stay, the chip is used to bill your consumption at 1.25 crowns/kWh (approx. 14 cents/kWh) - in addition to the relatively cheap electricity flat rate. I think this is a really good compromise for a fair electricity bill. +-+-+ Of course, the access restriction with chip card is a bit more annoying. If you're standing in front of the wash house and don't have your card with you ... :-( Even the shower is charged extra via the chip card. The industrial dishwasher, however, is free of charge and gets your dishes clean in no time at all. (During our visit, however, it was out of order.) +-+-+ Here we have at least a little understanding for the chip cards, as in summer the guests of the adjacent public beach could use and contaminate the clean, well-kept toilet facilities and washing facilities. But it's still kind of annoying. +-+-+ This hardly affects our overall good impression of the CP. We actually felt very comfortable there.Automaticky přeloženo.

Christopher K.červen 2013Pozitiva- Location directly on the lake with a great view - Sanitary facilities - Variety of pitches - Leisure facilitiesNegativa- The Swedish weather ;-) - The priceThe approach is really a bit daunting, because you drive past large industrial plants and wonder where a nice campsite is supposed to be. But once you have arrived, a really nice campsite opens up to you. There are pitches in the sun, right by the bathing area, a little further back on a meadow, right... by the cliffs - there really is something for everyone. We arrived shortly after midsummer and the site was accordingly full, but we still found a pitch with a direct view of the lake on the cliffs. We were able to admire a fantastic sunset over the lake and didn't want to go to bed. Unfortunately, the weather showed its unpredictable side the next morning - it was pouring with rain and we fled in frustration. Despite everything, the campsite is great and the sanitary facilities also impressed us. As is usual in many places in Sweden, you get a chip with which you can activate the hot water - the costs for this are then charged on departure. This is certainly not a super cheap option, but it was always super clean and there were small "family bathrooms" with 1 toilet, 1 washbasin and 1 shower - just great for my girlfriend and me. We were able to use the rooms as a couple, while one of us showered the other could already brush his teeth.
