"Good starting point for Oxford and the Cotswolds Hills - Nice operator, nice quiet site with small hedges. Sanitary house OK, very clean (like almost everywhere in England very HOT showers, not adjustable!). Small place, therefore for shopping to Witney (about 6 miles). Excursions are worthwhile to Oxford, a round trip through the Cotswolds Hills (very old quaint villages), to Stratford-upon-Avon, beautiful town and birthplace of Shakespeare, south to Henley-on-Thames, where the royal regattas are held.

"A good place to pass through - We landed here on our way back from Cornwall to Harwich for the ferry and were pleasantly surprised. It was immediately noticeable that great importance is attached to cleanliness, peace and order here. The friendly groundsman showed us immediately and precisely how and where to place the camper van on the pitch :-) But seriously, if you can cope with that, you're in good hands here. Very good for 1 - 2 nights, there's not much else around. At least 2 pubs with food on the village street. The trusting squirrels on the pitch were very nice.

" - Well organized campsite. Popular with families because of the wellness facilities (swimming pool and sauna). Booking advisable. Often fully booked at weekends and during the season and then sometimes very restless. Hourly bus connection to Oxford. Pub with good food within 5 minutes walking distance. W-Lan for a fee.

CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA. We have a well equipped play-area for under 5s and 5 to 12 yrs, comprising of multi-activity towers, swings and activity boards. A parent or guardian must accept responsibility for their children whilst using these facilities. Our various selection of SUPER PITCHES provide fresh running water facilities - grey waste - and the necessary equipment for this is supplied by us. You can also connect into the Park's TV aerial system. We also have hard standing pitches suitable for up to 38ft Motor Home.

HOW TO FIND US FROM M40 SOUTH (LONDON) Take Exit 8 and follow the A40 towards Oxford. At the roundabout by McDonalds, turn RIGHT staying on the A40 signed towards Cheltenham. DO NOT take the left turn signed for Standlake …B4449, by the garage and cafe, but continue on the A40 to WITNEY and take the A415 signed to ABINGDON. This road brings you into Standlake; turn LEFT immediately after the village garage and we are 300 yards on your RIGHT. FROM M40 NORTH (BIRMINGHAM) Take Exit 9 and follow A34 south for about 9 miles to Botley and take the exit onto A420, signed for SWINDON. Follow A420 for 9 miles to a roundabout and turn RIGHT onto A415 signed to WITNEY. Pass over the River Thames and as you enter Standlake, SLOW DOWN. The road curves right and you must turn RIGHT immediately after this curve and before the village garage. We are 300 yards on your RIGHT. FROM WEST M4 (BRISTOL) Take Exit 15, Swindon East, and Follow signs for A420 Oxford. At the Kingston Bagpuize roundabout turn LEFT onto A415 signed to WITNEY. Pass over the River Thames and as you enter Standlake, SLOW DOWN. The road curves right and you must turn RIGHT immediately after this curve and before the village garage. We are 300 yards on your RIGHT. FROM M4 EAST (LONDON) Take Exit 13 at Newbury and turn RIGHT onto A34 north towards Oxford. At Abingdon turn LEFT onto A415 signed WITNEY. Continue on this road, pass over the River Thames and as you enter Standlake, SLOW DOWN. The road curves right and you must turn RIGHT immediately after this curve and before the village garage. We are 300 yards on your RIGHT. FROM A40/M5 (CHELTENHAM) Take A40 signed Oxford to Witney. Exit from the Witney by-pass onto the A415 signed to ABINGDON. This road brings you into Standlake; turn LEFT immediately after the village garage and we are 300 yards on your RIGHT.
