So one of the destinations on our trip to Austria was Heiligenblut. Here you not only have mountains, but also an incredibly beautiful campsite that is small but really nice.
At the foot of the Zopenitzen (2,486m), opposite the Schareck... (2,606m), with a view of the Großglockner (3,798m), the pitches have very good grass and are level. It is also very informal and you will often bump into the owners, Sepp and Josef, who are always up for a chat. A place that has received awards for a reason and yet is not overpriced.
There is also the Alm Casino on site, an excellent restaurant.
We will be back, that's what we plan to do! Thank you for everything and best wishes from the Baltic coast!Automaticky přeloženo. - Roni S.August 2020PozitivaSuperNegativa0Very nice place.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Automaticky přeloženo.
- Daniel K.August 2019PozitivaLocation with a view of Heiligenblut and the Glockner mountains familiar atmosphere, very friendly operators relaxed choice of seatsFamiliar atmosphere paired with a wonderful viewEven the journey along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road enchanted us with its magnificent views. Once we arrived at the campsite, everything was very relaxed: "Take your time to look around and choose a nice spot. And if you want to be pampered, come and eat afterwards." And we did both. The place... offered a great view of the church in Heiligenblut and the Glockner mountains. The food was a real treat. And the family running the place were always very interested and everyone was simply super friendly. Conclusion: A rather small place in a great location with nice people - highly recommended.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Wolfgang R.July 2019PozitivaRestaurant, good ground for campers, quietNegativano storeDirectly on the Grossglockner High Alpine RoadNice place with nice people, you can choose your own pitch, beautiful grass. Located in the middle of nature and quiet. Unfortunately you can't shop in Heiligenblut after 18:00, so a small store would be nice. Otherwise a nice stay. We ate well in the restaurant and drank a really good Swiss stone pine schnapps.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Gertrude M.March 2017PozitivaFriendliness, location and cleanliness.Super nice, everything was perfect, I'd love to come back. The campsite is very nice and well maintained. I had an excellent night's sleep in my car. The host and his father are very friendly and accommodating. Everything was fine. I would love to come back when my son is doing a ski course there or when we do some mountain tours in the area. Many thanks and best regards from the car camper from Leoben in Styria.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Anke B.September 2016PozitivaPeace, nature, fantastic views, warm and helpful staffWe are extremely satisfied! Thanks to Josef and his team for the wonderful welcome, the warm accommodation and the hospitality. Unfortunately, we arrived on motorcycles in heavy rain. But as it wasn't our first time there, we were treated like VIPs. At least that's how we felt. But perhaps it was also because the campsite was no... longer very busy at that time. We arrived on 04.09. and stayed 2 nights. Everything was very clean and well-kept, it was not the last time we were there, highly recommended!Automaticky přeloženo.

- resi c.August 2015PozitivaQuiet, beautiful view, beautiful campingIt is a very beautifully situated, quiet campsite. We were there for the first time in August and really enjoyed it. The pitches are spacious and surrounded by greenery, there is a good restaurant on site and I can highly recommend the campsiteAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Erwin O.August 2014PozitivaWell-kept grass campsite, wonderful view of the famous church of Heiligenblut, very good restaurant directly on the site, quiet location;Wonderful grass campsite with a view of the famous church of HeiligenblutWe visited the site after crossing the Großglockner (high alpine road, no problem even for motorhomes). The site is only a 10-minute walk from the town center. The site is located a few meters below the village and therefore you can enjoy a great view from the whole site up to the church of Heiligenblut,... which is one of the most famous sights in Austria! From some parts of the site you even have a view of the Großglockner. The course is located directly on a steep rock face where eagles nest in spring. The entire surface consists of grass, which incidentally didn't get muddy even after very wet weather. We were able to drive on the wet grass with our 3.5 t motorhome without any problems. You rarely find anything like it. The grassy ground gives the pitch a very spacious, open and natural feel. During our stay at the end of August, the pitch was only partially occupied and it was very quiet. A small side road leads to the campsite. You can't hear any cars, just the gentle murmur of the Möll, which flows past from the Glockner in the immediate vicinity. The sanitary facilities were well maintained and clean. The owner family also runs the restaurant directly on the site. This is highly recommended and is also popular with guests from the village. We really enjoyed our stay. By the way: From the north, a short detour to Heiligenblut is also worthwhile with the motorhome, because if you have already traveled over the Glockner, an additional crossing on the way home only costs € 10 toll.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Jörg S.July 2013Beautiful place at the foot of the Grossglockner. We have been there twice with two children aged 10 and 13. Great landscape for hiking and relaxing. Great swimming pool in the village. Tip: Grossglocknerstrasse weekly ticket 50€ incl. visit to the Franz Josefs Höhe museum is worthwhile even in bad weather.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Harald G.July 2013Beautifully situated campsite with lots of really nice pitches. The site is very clean and the meadow is wonderful. Fortunately, the operators take great care of this. The sanitary facilities are very clean and functional, even if they are no longer the most modern design ;) Disposing of the waste tank... and waste water is a bit of a hassle, as you have to move a rather heavy manhole cover to do this, or you have to drive quite dangerously close to the manhole opening with the motorhome without a hose device, which can end badly without help. Unfortunately, the cuisine in the campsite restaurant can't keep up with the campsite, but it's not an absolute failure either, just average value for money. Highly recommended as a starting point for hikes, unfortunately the campsite itself had no meaningful information documents to offer, but there is an information point in Heiligenblut. It is advisable to buy supplies there. ADEG supermarket is a 10-minute walk away, bread rolls are also available at the campsite. Overall, highly recommended as a base for a stay in the Gross Glockner region ... which in high season can lead to an older couple suddenly being surrounded by families with children from one moment to the next ... but here it depends on the upbringing of the parents (we had a flute player who started practicing at 9.00 pm ...). ); on the other hand, children are children, and we were all like that once ... and from 22.00 onwards it was usually really quiet ...Automaticky přeloženo.
