The large and spacious vacation complex is located in beautiful rural surroundings in the Perigord Noir. The nearest towns in the area are Sainte Alvere and Le Bugue (Vezere valley). The village... of Saint Avit de Vialard is the gateway to the "Pays du Vergt", a center of French strawberry cultivation. ##### How to get there ##### The campsite is usually reached from the north via the D710 from Perigeux/Brive/Limoges (A89, AS 16), after 35 km the campsite is signposted at Journiac, from there another 4 km along a very narrow road to the site. This approach seems unsuitable for large camper vans and caravans, as there are only a few passing places for oncoming vehicles on the single-lane road. The larger vehicles therefore drive past Journiac and follow the D710 for 3 km to the signposted "Camping Loisirs" turn-off to St. Avit Vialard (3 km). Coming from the Dordogne or Vezere valley, after passing through the small town of Le Bugue (Tuesday market), soon after leaving the town you will see this sign to the left for the campsite. From the west, i.e. from Bergerac, follow the signs for "Ste. Alvere" (D32) for about 30 km. In Ste. Alvere, follow the signs for "St. Avit de Vialard" or "Camping Loisirs", then it's another 4 km on a narrow road to the campsite. It is recommended to check the individual route with a relevant map service. ##### Camping ##### The "St. Avit Loisirs" vacation complex is situated in a quiet and beautiful location in the Perigord hills. The site is divided into seven units. One of these is the "Plein Air" campsite with three sanitary blocks, around 200 pitches and a few rental tents and "mobile homes". All pitches have electricity (10A), and many pitches also have water and drainage (Grand Confourt). Three other areas of the resort offer space for large mobile homes (St. Avit Cottage), for rental bungalows (St. Avit Bungalow) and a small complex with apartments (St. Avit Residence). The center of the resort with all imaginable catering and service facilities, a bright and friendly terrace, however, is the very large and well-maintained pool area, which has everything to offer for children and certainly leaves little to be desired for teenagers and adults. The complex also includes a number of games for children and teenagers in the "fun zone", some of which are subject to a charge, as well as a fishing pond, soccer pitch, mini golf and a large playground, as well as the obligatory boules court. ##### Pitches and infrastructure ##### The majority of the pitches are located in a light, park-like oak forest in pleasant shade and partial shade. The pitches at the edges often offer a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and meadows. A pitch is at least 100 square meters in size and largely flat. The entire site is carefully maintained and the three sanitary facilities are of the highest quality (*****). The shower cubicles are spacious with an anteroom, washbasin and separate shower cubicle; some also have a children's washbasin, toilet and bathtub. ##### Service ##### The five-star vacation resort, run by the Léger family in a professional and friendly manner, offers a very wide range of activities in the high season, aimed at families with children, but also a program for teenagers and adults. The focus is on relaxation and fun. Leisure activities and entertainment focus on the guest, and the pool complex is an integral part of the vacation fun: water slides, wild water course, indoor pool and water puddles as well as paddling pools for babies and toddlers are available, as are swimming pools. The very friendly and multilingual reception not only manages the check-in with care and competence, but also acts as an "office de tourisme" for all questions relating to vacations in the Perigord (*****). ##### Surroundings ##### On Monday there is a market in the neighboring village of Ste. Alvere, which we would highly recommend. In Le Bugue, opposite the Mairie, Stephane runs a cheese shop and sells his "Tomme de Audrix" and other delicacies from the Perigord, as well as the patisserie Café Caouet on the Vezere bridge with the best homemade ice cream and probably the most delicious croissants in the region. In Paunat, in the old monastery garden, Julien spoils his guests with excellent regional cuisine, or - but only in summer - the garden of the "Petit Leon" in St. Leon sur Vezere - a magical place near the prehistoric center of Montignac - offers excellent gastronomy. If you haven't visited Lascaux II or the Rouffingnac Grotto, you haven't seen the Perigord. Anyone who manages to visit the prehistoric cave of Font de Gaume in the high season is one of the less than 80 visitors admitted daily and must be grateful for it! - Reinhard W.August 2015Pozitivasee commentNegativathe sanitary facilities could have been cleaner. However, with an occupancy rate of (estimated) 90%, this is not so easy.Total waterscape !We ( 64 + 62 ) went to this place with our grandchildren ( twin girls 10 years old ). Reason: the overwhelming water landscape. We had already inspected the entire campsite ( as a couple ) at Easter 2015, tested it and thought it was great. The children were particularly impressed by the 3 water slides... in summer - simply fantastic. The site is very large and the children have plenty to do all day on the bikes, quad bikes and in the water. Conclusion: we are going back with the grandchildren in summer 2016 for 2 1/2 weeks -- the campsite is highly recommended!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Paul M.July 2013It's a bit off the beaten track but at least that means there is nothing to attract children or teenagers off the campsite. The campsite itself is great and we will be returning next year. As it is at the top of a steep hill, you'll need to be somewhat fit if you want to go cycling etc. If like me you like to get out and about to see cultural attractions, this is a great base.
