There are plenty of great cooking areas and the staff are friendly and very helpful.NegativaThere are simply not enough showers when the place is full. Queuing is inevitable. Sand is of course omnipresent, but the pitches are pretty much all on grass. They are available in all variations. With the four-wheel drive or camper on the dune or classically on level ground. The staff are very friendly, almost all speak German and make extras easy to arrange.... The store offers all sorts of things and fresh bread rolls can be ordered there. Once you've hopped over the dunes, you're already on the beach. Vejers is easily accessible on foot or by bike.
The price per night is very high, but the location is quite exclusive.
There are lots of cars driving to and fro, as many people like to drive to the beach. They all have to return to the campsite in the evening. I find the electricity prices very exorbitant.Automaticky přeloženo.

There is now electricity and fresh water everywhere on the site, the security is sufficiently dimensioned.NegativaThe price! 83€ per night for 5 people over Ascension Day. Parcelling, no more free choice of pitches. The guests! Why? Because the site wants to be a hip glamping and vanlife site. I don't see myself there, I'm a simple camper without airs and graces. Some of the pitches are very wet and soft, and often very uneven.Poserplatz, see and be seen for people with enough money.The last time I was here was in 2011 and we always had legendary parties over Whitsun.
The site now belongs to the Hvidberg Group, which operates a 6-star!!! campsite in Blavand. Unfortunately, this is now rubbing off on the place and the charm is lost for me. You used to check in, then choose a pitch... and set up there, but now everything is parceled out, so the freedom is lost to some extent. Our pitch, which we chose on the interactive map, was unfortunately not in a dune as we had hoped, but in a hollow and so wet that the water was already coming out of the ground just by standing there. Very annoying. The wash houses are all new buildings, chic in black with light thatched roofs and elegant interiors. Showers, cooking and automatic dishwashers are included. There are family bathrooms, but no special bathrooms for children.
If you need it, you'll like it, I'm a camper, not a glamper!
And while we're at it, children are accepted here in my opinion, but nothing more. The site is quite large, but there is only one playground, which is not bad, but too small. We didn't discover any other facilities for children.
The campsite is aimed more at wealthy glampers and vanlifers. Unfortunately, for me this no longer has much to do with nature camping. For me, nature camping means enjoying, respecting and honoring nature. Unfortunately, I can't see that in many of the guests here. (Unfortunately, this also applies to more and more guests at other campsites, especially since the flood of new corona campers).
Now you can argue that the site operator can't do anything about it, but I think that a site operator also has an influence on the guests he wants to attract with his orientation.
Conclusion: We didn't feel so comfortable here. It was okay for the few days, but nothing more. Direct access to the sea via steep paths or by car, as the beach can be driven on. The fully accessible dune area is ideal for dog owners. However, dogs must be kept on a lead. When booking, you should enquire in advance about the Danish military's firing exercises. Days are announced on the Internet. Spacious course.Nature campsite directly on the North SeaWe liked it very much. We were lucky with our pitch and were sheltered by the dune. Our pitch was also quite level (pitch 251). The westerly wind can be a final enemy for awnings and tents. Even if some of the pitches are really great in the dunes, you should think about what you want to sleep/set up... there. Many pitches are very uneven. It's just a nature campsite. Our wash house was quite new. However, the cleanliness often left a lot to be desired. But the site was also full and it was used a lot. Our son loved the playground, he spent many hours there and always found something to do straight away. We really liked the direct proximity to the North Sea. Walking in the dunes is great. We can say that a lot has changed since then. And for the better.
The sanitary facilities are clean and very nice. The pitches now have their own power columns. You don't have to look around with meter-long cables to see where you can plug in. The staff were all... friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our pitch was very uneven (pitch 317), but as we were traveling with friends, it wasn't too bad and we used our pitch as a parking space. The pitches are big enough, but there were also differences. We enjoyed the wind protection of the dune, but if you want to and can, you can also camp on the dune.

The new sanitary building at the back is really well done. However, due to the division into family-only showers, it has the disadvantage that there are waiting times with higher occupancy. Somehow there is a lack of individual... toilet cubicles here. Otherwise, all pitches are currently being equipped with supply columns. The Wi-Fi coverage was very good at the beginning, but became a little "thin" with higher occupancy.

Unfortunately, the new owners have changed a few things and so this campsite has lost its original "flair".
Among other things, all pitches have now been given numbers and you have to choose a pitch number before entering. You can then choose another... pitch after viewing the pitch, but the rebooking takes a long time.
It is also not so easy to extend your stay on the same pitch at short notice. We had to move twice because our pitch was always reserved (but there were plenty of other pitches available).

Booked and selected our pitch in advance. But when we arrived, our pitch was right next to a building site. That wasn't exactly relaxing and after 4 days we moved within the campsite. What annoyed me about this was that we were not informed in advance.
Otherwise,... the campsite is very nice and the pitches are beautifully situated in the dunes. A

A parcelling was available in the form of numbers on the pitches. The distance to some electricity points is... very long and sometimes the cable has to be laid across the road. Unfortunately there is no place to put the shower gel inside the shower. There are no hygiene bags in the ladies' toilet and the cleaning of the sanitary facilities was from about 16:00 - 18:30, which is perhaps unfortunate. Some of the campers were very exposed to the wind.
But that's complaining on a high level. The site is SUPER and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a very large campsite without pitches. You can just park wherever you like. With a suitable vehicle, you can even drive into or onto the dunes and set up camp there. The sanitary... facilities are always clean and up to date. Due to the size of the campsite, a bicycle wouldn't go amiss. You can buy bread rolls at the entrance to the campsite as well as other everyday necessities. Unfortunately, it was very windy from the sea most of the time and we really felt it on our pitch. All in all, a very nice campsite where there are no pitch boundaries.Automaticky přeloženo.
