There are a lot of rules, which certainly make sense; however, compliance with the night's rest is viewed rather loosely. Social and alcohol-heavy evening rounds, which cheer up the campsite until two o'clock in the morning, are not among the forbidden things. Bread roll service and good value for money. I really can't confirm reports that the campsite operator is unfriendly. My... opinion: such a large site also needs a certain authority, otherwise everything goes haywire and guests who don't follow the rules and then complain have only themselves to blame. I think the campsite is highly recommended.
I liked the fact that it is very quiet at night, the tents are in the shade in hot temperatures thanks to the many trees and you can decide for yourself where to pitch. The cell phone reception is not so good, but do you really need to be connected to it all the time? There is a power supply for the campers, but not for the tents, but Mr. Seyberth offers a locker with a socket free of charge for a small deposit, which was perfectly adequate for charging electrical devices. There is also space in the fridge and storage facilities for private boats. If you like, you can bring your own hammock, there are several stands available.
And - no insect infestation this year, no ants in the tent either - that was very pleasant.

We just wanted to change after our canoe trip and have a bite to eat.
We were never rude to staff or other visitors... but were treated like violent criminals.
As we made our way to our boat, the man grabbed our paddles and tried to get our valuables to lock them in his drinks storage.
I didn't understand the intentions behind these actions and have no sympathy for such behavior.

Unfortunately, the boss spoils your stay. He is constantly watching the guests as they go about their business and he chastises them every time they break one of the 1000 official and unofficial rules. For example, he rounded up two children because of a branch torn off a large tree. One point more because dogs are forbidden. I've never experienced such a bad mood. When the groundsman (!!) walks around, you can't help but wait for the next bully. Strangers are automatically suspicious here. Questions are answered harshly and unobjectively. At lunchtime you can't even leave the pitch... as a pedestrian without opening the gate - there is immediate grumbling.
Diagonally opposite is a simply equipped pitch. After several telephone cancellations, we were lucky here. The owner promised us on the phone and we booked. We arrived one day later and were given a friendly welcome. After a short briefing, we took up position with the Multivan.... Even if the house rules "assault" you at first, in hindsight they are justified. The site is in a well-kept condition and you can relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We are both real paddling enthusiasts and found plenty of routes in the many rivers and canals and didn't have to paddle twice. (The central location really comes into its own here) The same applies to the range of cycle paths, which we made ample use of. The prerequisite for this, however, is that you have the large cycling and canoeing map to hand. The well-signposted network offers the best orientation and you can prepare yourself well for the tours. There are many good inns all around, and you can moor directly at some of the rivers to take a break. In the nearby castle you can get all the daily necessities you need, for which you can find a place in the available refrigerators. The owner was friendly, available when we needed him and also took time for personal conversations. It was our first vacation in the Spreewald, and in the end we were glad that we ended up in this gem. We will definitely be back.Automaticky přeloženo.

We were a little too early for registration (12:00 instead of 14:00) and only wanted to use the toilets briefly and were sent away on the grounds that we were not guests.
When registration was open, we were greeted in a super unfriendly manner by the "dictator"... (as one previous speaker put it in a nutshell). We had to pay for the pitch directly in cash and did not receive an invoice. After we asked why we weren't allowed to go to the toilet, the "dear" gentleman became angry and was robbed of his honor. He gave us our money back and we had to look for another campsite. So much for a binding request! We are really glad that we didn't stay at this campsite! The site is small and very green. Shade for almost everyone, playground and soccer pitch, beach volleyball court, jetty and even the kids can splash around relatively safely at the second jetty. The sanitary facilities... are good, but a little too small. We wondered what they would look like outside the restricted utilization regarding Corona, as even now the capacity limits had already been reached. Free fridges.
No internet at all. Partly no cell phone reception.
Expensive in terms of price. Even babies have to pay.
The owner is very direct, which is a good thing, but unfortunately also very controlling. The grounds are patrolled at short, regular intervals. Half an hour BEFORE midday we were told that we would be expelled from the premises if we or the children continued to be so loud. It wasn't quiet, but it was an actual argument, which sometimes can't be avoided with children. This threat was also the only communication and seemed to be the only solution for the person.
At the end of our stay we, two families with two children each, wanted to pay the family flat rate. This was refused when the owner refused to accept one of the families as a family. It was a lesbian couple and their children. For him, "something like that" was not a family. It could only be a man and a woman. Further offers of conversation and hints that it would be nice if such views were reconsidered were ignored or made impossible by walking away. We paid the family price in the end, he dismissed it as generosity, we clarified the existing legal situation again. He was of the opinion that his laws applied on his land.

For example, guests are only allowed to moor at the landing stage for a fee or guests of campers have to register and pay! And still have to leave early. You get the impression that you... can't take a step on the campsite without the campsite warden watching you. We have christened him the "flying eye" (=I see them)... The operator was hardly friendly and was constantly walking around the site watching us. The toilets and showers are small, outdated and... laid out in a youth hostel style, they were also not clean. All electrical appliances in the kitchen had to be paid for separately, even the kettle. The "boat parking space" was right on the water and the pitch for the tent was freely selectable. The beer tent sets, which were provided free of charge by the groundsman, are perfect for campers with little storage space.... It is also possible to wash and dry laundry, charge cell phones, cook and refrigerate food. Drinks and snacks can be purchased from the groundsman. There is a small "harbor" where smaller children can splash around safely and a jetty directly on the Ostgraben where they can swim. Canoes can be put into the water at both spots. Drinks can be purchased from the groundsman... and there is a bread roll service. You can cook well in the kitchen. There are plenty of fridges available so that you can also store perishable food. Each group can borrow beer tables/benches, a barbecue and chocks for their own stove. Laundry lines are stretched or clothes racks are available. We wanted for nothing! After the canoe trips, the unbreakable could let off steam on the soccer pitch or play beach volleyball. There is a playground for the little ones. As we came from different directions, we also arrived at different times to spend a nice paddling weekend. On arrival, we were treated very skeptically by the campsite operator, were given our tent number and were able to choose a spot on... the beautiful site. Which we really liked. However, we soon realized that the operator had to keep an eye on everything and therefore walked around the site quite frequently. If we had any questions, the operator answered them rather grumpily. That didn't bother us much, as we knew the rules of the site and thought that if we stuck to them nothing could really happen, but we thought wrongly because when a friend wanted to visit us on the site the whole dilemma began because despite the rules of the site where day guests are allowed, the operator refused and at the same time 2 of our group were missing. This was a real treat for the operator, who immediately explained to us that if they hadn't arrived by 9pm they would be allowed to go home immediately. As this seemed rather strange to us, I went to the registration desk and asked whether the campsite would be locked from 9 p.m. or whether we could still get out. It was explained to me that the campsite would remain open and so I knew that I could leave the campsite at any time if something happened. At around 00:30 a.m., a friend didn't feel comfortable and wanted to leave the campsite, which the operator noticed, so she was thrown out at 00:30. So I come to the conclusion that the campsite is beautifully situated but what's the point if you have to be afraid of being thrown out. Two toilets and a communal shower for the men. No possibility to dry your hands after using the toilet. The owner has issued a plethora of prohibitions and threatens to expel you from the site if you do the... slightest thing. Even the most beautiful place can't make up for that. He is constantly walking across the square so that, apart from the cameras, there is no feeling of security, but rather of being spied on. It gets really dramatic when you want to visit someone. We almost didn't come because of the many negative reviews. All nonsense I can only say! The place is top! It is certainly true that there are rules that are unusual, but each one makes sense. And what should... not be forgotten - for every rule there is a simple solution. e.g. No barbecue or gas stove may be placed on the lawn (solution: concrete slabs are provided to put underneath). A barbecue can be hired on site if required and there are even benches and tables available. There is a great lounge for cooler days and fridges for use. Washing lines are stretched out so that there is no need to hang it up in the trees. There is a campfire site, a volleyball court and a soccer pitch. The site is very well maintained. The groundsman was very obliging and helpful. There is simply nothing to complain about. My conclusion: This campsite is the right choice for all people who enjoy nature and want to relax.
