- Gunnar B.August 2020Positive- favorable price, - free choice of pitches on the campsite (despite caravans), - wash houses are clean, - Location directly on Lake BalatonNegativ- Wash houses outdated and in need of major repairs in places, - several unsecured ruins/lost places on the site, - all 3 restaurants are closed despite peak seasonThe space is old and in need of renovationThe approach to the campsite was very chaotic. The navigation system still had the old entrance saved, but there is now a new entrance on the exact opposite side of the campsite. The problem with the new entrance is that there is no waiting area for check-in, so we blocked the entrance and exit to the... campsite with our 13m trailer for half an hour. We wanted to come spontaneously for 3 weeks in the summer without booking in advance, the site was half empty from the outside, but we were told: No chance - nothing available. When we then said that we wanted to stay for 3 weeks and would pay immediately in cash, we were allocated a pitch on the campsite. I guess they didn't want to miss out on 3 weeks of paying campers after all. In hindsight, we didn't regret our decision to stay at the campsite, as there were no parcels and we had plenty of space. Nevertheless, the system at this site is very chaotic. Reservations are accepted for one night and then there is no more space for campers who would leave money for three weeks. The wash houses are all over 50 years old and you can see their age in every corner. They are only repaired in a makeshift manner so that they can do their job. The cubicles in the rear wash house are so small that when you sit on the toilet, your knees touch the door. And I'm only 1.86m tall. The wash houses are cleaned every 15 minutes. The washhouses are clean, but the fact that they are so old and unrepaired makes them look dingy. The showers cannot be adjusted in terms of temperature, but the default setting is fine. It gives the impression that the operator wanted to milk the place dry financially shortly before demolition. The former slide park in the middle of the site is a ruin, a third of the site including the 3rd wash house is already closed and the large restaurant at the old entrance is a real lost place.Automatisk oversat.
- Michaela T.August 2017PositiveVery clean, shallow waterNegativWiFi house roof is leakingFamily 7 AugustThis is the eighth time we have stayed at this campsite and I must say that a lot has improved from last year to this year. The beach is very clean, new great swings for toddlers and older children. You can go into the water for ages, which is really handy for the children. The sanitary facilities were... very clean. The cleaners were always cleaning. Unfortunately there were guests who didn't appreciate this and made a mess of everything, and those were the ones who complained that it was dirty. You can play tennis, pedalos and mini golf on the campsite. You can also get a kettcar. Animation is every day from morning till evening. There is a WiFi house with WLAN, unfortunately with a leaky roof (drips in when it rains) so there are still dishwashing houses with cooking facilities. Unfortunately, there is only one washing machine for the large campsite, so you can put 1-2 more. The staff is very friendly and takes care of the guests immediately. There is even a dog shower, which is practical for guests who have a dog with them. There is also a minimarket that has the essentials, if you need more you can go to balaton lelle 3 km away. There is a restaurant on the campsite. What is new this year is that they also offer massages (from bamboo to head massages). We are very happy with the pitches, but also the free pitches are great. We will be back next year. :-)Automatisk oversat.
- Papajewski A.August 2017Positiveshallow water (50cm) clean sanitary facilities (even if older)NegativRailroad line close by (but is everywhere on Lake Balaton)Very nice campsite for familiesThe campsite is located directly on Lake Balaton. Thanks to the many trees, almost all pitches are partially or even completely shaded. There is a sunbathing lawn right by the water. Steps lead down to the approx. 50 cm deep water with a pleasant sandy bottom. You have to walk a long way before the water... gets really deep (more than 1.70 cm). But even in between you can swim in water depths of around 70-100 cm. You can hire pedal boats with slides on site and go into the deep water - our children really enjoyed this. Otherwise, children can also play alone in the shallow water under supervision. Unfortunately, there is no sandy beach for digging/modding. The sanitary facilities are older but clean. There are always cleaning staff around. Unfortunately, you can't adjust the temperature of the showers - but they are lukewarm. Unlimited showers are included in the price. The children really enjoyed the children's disco in the evening. There were German, Dutch, Hungarian and English songs. There is a very well-developed network of cycle paths in all directions, so we were able to go on bike tours with two children (4, 9 years) without any worries. You should take bicycles with you, as the campsite is very long and covers an area of 1 km (we had our pitch at the very end, so we had to walk a total of 2 km every morning to get bread rolls). As with all campsites, the railroad runs right past it. We liked it very much. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Jána J.August 2016PositiveClean campsite including toilets, small water depth still far from the shore (for children)NegativRailway noise, everything is far away (shop, reception, toilet)Nice campsiteUnfortunately, a lot of noise from the railway just outside the fence of the campsite (just Balaton). There are cabins in the first part of the campsite and another area reserved for caravans and a free area for tents (the latter is closer to the railway). Toilets and showers are in sufficient number,... clean but unfortunately out of walking distance from some parts of the campsite. I recommend a bike or scooter. Only mini shop at the main gate, so over 1km away from the back. Electric hookups work on password and yet every second....maybe a third. Swimming ideal for children as even very far from the shore the water is waist deep. Despite some minor issues this campsite left us with an overall positive impression.Automatisk oversat.
- H.H. S.June 2016PositivePrice: very reasonable Place is very clean Nice and courteous staffNegativYou have to get used to the train noise, at night a freight train often passes the square, which was quite loud.Very nice campsiteThis campsite is really very nice, well maintained and very clean. The staff are very friendly. You have the possibility to eat in a snack bar on this site and there is also a shopping possibility directly on the site. The only thing I have to complain about is that I didn't like the showers. The water... was too cold for my liking and came out of the tap too strongly. Unfortunately there is no way to regulate or adjust this yourself. But that is also the only negative point. The rest is tiptop and makes for an unforgettable, relaxing vacation.Automatisk oversat.
- michaela t.August 2015Positivebeautiful pitchesNegativToo little on offer for children,2.08.2015 August - 1 weekWe go to this campsite every year, but this year I was a little shocked. You can see from year to year that the campsite offers less and less. The pitches and free pitches are great, the sanitary facilities are also cleaned regularly, but there are still so many spiders that we women didn't really dare... to go to the toilet, it has also become boring for children, animation is there, but unfortunately everything is in Hungarian that German children don't understand it. There is also a washing machine, but for the entire camping house (far too little) there were arguments about who was allowed to wash first. And the latest thing I noticed this year is that the stores like Tessco etc. are now also closed on Sundays (wasn't the case last year). If you want to go to a great market you have to go to Fonyod which is on Wednesday and Saturday, I generally hope that the campsite takes this to heart and does something about it.Automatisk oversat.
- Christian F.July 2015Positivelong shore area with many parking spaces directly on the shore beautiful children's playgrounds children's pool clean and well-keptNegativInvestment backlog / worn out little infrastructure, or much is closed Unsuitable for small children / no access optionLarge campsite with Eastern European flairOverall, the campsite is mediocre, so neither bad nor particularly good. The site is very large, so it is located on the shore of Lake Balaton, about 1km long. Bicycles are therefore an advantage. Due to the size, it is easy to lose sight of the children. The children's playgrounds, the children's pool... and the children's entertainment are very good. Unfortunately, the children's facilities and the children's pool are quite far away from the pitch, as the campsite is so large. The site is rather unsuitable for small children, as Lake Balaton can only be reached via steps and the water is separated from the shore by stones. There is therefore no access for children under the age of 6 and there is no children's beach. It is therefore not possible to build water castles. There is also no children's pool or children's tub. A positive feature is the long shore area, which makes it easy to park directly on the shore. Unfortunately, one has the impression that the campsite is either being neglected by the operator (Balatontourist, has many campsites on Lake Balaton) or is perhaps to be closed. The reason for this is that much of the former infrastructure is closed, the communal and sanitary buildings are outdated and worn out. Around 1/3 of the site has also been closed down. It seems that the last few years have been spent dismantling and hardly any investment has been made. Nevertheless, everything is very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the infrastructure is inadequate for a campsite of this size on Lake Balaton. There is only one supermarket and a small snack bar. There is no hairdresser, massage, launderette, bathing store or café. This is usually the case, but here it is closed, although there are an extremely large number of campers on the site. The location is also not so great, as you are right between two towns and so everything outside the campsite is too far away and therefore difficult to reach on foot. This is a drawback as there isn't much on the site (apart from children's playgrounds and the shore). As I said, the site is not bad, but there are better places on Lake Balaton. If you want to camp on the south shore, you should book the "Autos" site in Zarmadi from the same operator (Balatontourist).Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrike W.July 2015Positivelong beach with sunbathing lawn. beautiful pitches. good selection of sandwichesNegativSanitary facilities very outdated. Very loud train trafficRenovation requirementsWe have just spent 10 days at the campsite. My conclusion: The sanitary facilities urgently need renovation and proper cleaning. There is no toilet paper in the cabins, but a roll for everyone at the entrance! A cleaning lady is always on site, but only cleans superficially. There are more and more cobwebs... overhead. You can't regulate the water temperature in the showers. This means I have to take a hot shower even if I don't want to. The jet of water at the washbasin is also not enough to rinse my mouth after brushing my teeth. We were really shocked by the sanitary facilities!!! But the beach is really beautiful. You can walk several hundred meters into the lake and the water is clean and the grocery store has a good selection of bread rolls.Automatisk oversat.
- R. S.July 2015PositiveOwn waterfrontNegativIt is far from the settlements, so access to services is difficult, and there are very few services locally and they are much more expensive than in Lellen.A beautiful environment undeservedly neglectedThis year, after 15 years, I had the opportunity to spend a week at the campsite again. Unfortunately, compared to 15 years ago, I was disappointed. There used to be 5 restaurants and buffets to choose from, rental boats, sailboats, windsurfing, bikes, etc., and anglers could rent a place for fishing.There... used to be cleanliness everywhere , now the mown grass is forgotten to be picked up , if there is a breeze the wind blows the dry grass everywhere. The toilet seat is also in the category of the one that is not used by those who care about hygiene. If a guest dares to speak out, instead of fixing the problem, they blame the guest for making it that way, even though they clean it once a day," says the manager. And I could go on and on about my disappointments, so my nostalgia for this campsite is gone, never here again !!!Automatisk oversat.

- Nicole L.July 2014PositiveLocationNegativEquipment and furnishings of the bungalowsOld bungalows but cleanWe were there for 14 days and were a little shocked by the furnishings. Simple is ok, but everything was very worn and old. Even though everything was clean. The location is great. I recommend booking a bungalow in the first row, these are at least more attractively designed and if you are lucky enough... to get hold of a renovated one (they are probably at the playground) they are good. The location with a view of the lake is also great. The beds were made up once a week and the outdoor area was also well maintained. We also recommend the snack bar and the fish there, delicious! The service is also good. We had 3 complaints (shower cubicle broken, leaking and no hot water) which were all resolved immediately. Unfortunately we could not change the bungalow on site. Whether the price justifies the facilities is questionable, but the location definitely makes up for it.Automatisk oversat.
- Sven Olaf N.July 2013Have been there twice and will be back a few more times. The site is beautifully situated. Pitches mostly with shade. In 2012 it was rather empty, in 2013 we hadn't booked in advance and were just lucky to get a pitch by the water. Great cheap restaurants nearby (Rudi we will be back). The kids (10 + 14) don't want to go anywhere else either. The start of 2014 will be at the end of July.Automatisk oversat.
- Andreas S.July 2013In my opinion the most beautiful place on the south shore. Very friendly and helpful staff, store right on the pitch, very beautiful and well-kept beach.Automatisk oversat.

- Christian J.July 2012We were 2 adults and three children 12/6/2. the place was very well maintained and the sanitary facilities were very good for Hungary and very clean, were always cleaned three times a day. Very nice staff, they were always helpful. The food on the site was well but 3 min by car you could go shopping... and go to the beach Balatonelle which is highly recommended for children. Very cheap family ticket 3 euros and you could go in and out as often as you wanted. the place was very good and we will be back...Automatisk oversat.
- Karsten S.August 2011The sanitary facilities were cleaned 3 times a day and were clean! You can really relax here and the site is a bit out of the way, but that didn't bother us. The price mentioned above was about 30 € in the high season. We had a great camping vacation here and are planning to do the same next year. PS: The mosquitoes were very hungry !!!Automatisk oversat.
