- Marcus O.August 2021PositiveCanoeing, peace and quiet, fishing, fire ...NegativSomewhat weak sanitary infrastructure, motorboat from the rental shop were annoying. Didn't fit in with the natural surroundings.Have been coming here for years.A really beautiful place that we have been visiting for years. Ideal for canoe trips lasting several days and sleeping on islands. Fishing is possible with a fishing license available at the site, but there are better places for die-hard fishing fans. There is a small beach at Stora Bör. The lake deepens... very slowly, making it ideal for smaller children. You can hire canoes or motorboats (6 HP and incredibly loud) at a hefty price. The sanitary facilities were always spotlessly clean, but there were not enough toilets and showers in high season. The clientele is 90% Belgian, which is probably due to the fact that the new owner is a Belgian TV star. This would also explain the current overcrowding. Previously you could never reserve a place, you always got something. Now it's unthinkable without a reservation! It was simply too full for us compared to the last few years. What's more, you are now allocated a seat. We used to arrive, position ourselves and then check in. Unfortunately, that's a thing of the past ...Automatisk oversat.
- Dorothea L.June 2019PositiveFree choice of pitch, peace and nature, clean and well-kept, friendly owners, dog bathing area,Negativmany permanent pitches, far to go shopping, lots of mosquitoesQuiet place at the Stora Bör in the forestQuiet, well-kept site, pure nature. Good sanitary facilities, with full occupancy (Midsommar) a little tight with only 4 showers for the ladies. Shopping facilities some distance away. Good hiking possibilities with dogs from the campsite, possibility to rent a canoe and explore the lake and the many islands.Automatisk oversat.
- Leonhard H.June 2019PositivePeace and quiet, lakeside location, hiking, boating etc.Negativunfortunately now and then mosquitoesGreat place at the Störa BörA beautiful, well-kept campsite on the Störa Bör, about 2 km off the main road, absolutely quiet, despite some good occupancy. However, there was still plenty of space for caravans and mobile homes. The owners speak Swedish and English. Reception only open in the morning from 9:00 -11:00 and in the evening... from 20:00-21:00. You have free choice of pitch and register later. Unfortunately there were small biting insects and mosquitoes on the 3rd evening and they ruined our evening. Unreserved recommendation.Automatisk oversat.
- Jürgen & Petra K.July 2018NegativnoneStora BörGreat place. The site operators are very nice and helpful. Very clean sanitary facilities. Fires and barbecues were not allowed due to the high risk of forest fires. This was the most beautiful place on our tour of Sweden this year. The Glaskogen nature reserve is nearby and well worth a visit. The shopping facilities at the campsite are limited, so you have to shop outside. Great here.Automatisk oversat.
- Sabine A.August 2017PositivePeace, nature, location, cleanlinessNegativNonePure relaxationWe were there for almost 3 weeks and were totally thrilled - pure nature. Super clean and modern sanitary facilities, very nice pitches, some with lake views, great hiking trails directly from the site (ideal for dog owners) and the option of simply leaving our dinghy with motor at the water's edge. Fishing was not always so successful - Store Bor is not such an easy lake to fish in. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Marcus O.July 2017PositivePerfect for canoeing and fishing Very good rental canoes 20€/24h made of aluminum. WLAN free of charge, bike rental Pure wilderness!NegativToo few toilets Showers 1€ /5 minutes Does not accept reservationsVery nice place at the Stora BörLocated directly on the Stora Bör. We parked our caravan right by the water and went exploring with our boats. You can camp there on isolated islands if you want. If you feel like it, you can take a large fire bowl and make your own campfire in front of the caravan. Unfortunately, this is unthinkable... in Germany. There are no pitches, everyone looks for their own spot. Just the way we like it. There is a good playground on the beach for the little ones and dogs are also welcome. Unfortunately, the number of showers and toilets was a little too small. The sanitary facilities were of Swedish standard and also clean. If you love wilderness camping, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back! We did it in 2018: site totally overcrowded, sanitary facilities were sometimes no longer sufficient and you had to queue, the solitude on the islands that we enjoyed so much was no longer there, as these were also completely populated with people. The place was ok again, but for us it has lost its unique selling point. It's no longer an insider tip. What a pity.Automatisk oversat.

Extremely friendly and professional camping bedrijf. Ik stem mijn bezoek aan Zweden altijd af op een verblijf aan de Stora Bor, Camp Grinsby.Automatisk oversat.
- axel k.June 2015PositiveFantastic locationNegativE 18 audible from time to timeWorth experiencingIn our opinion, perhaps the most beautiful campsite in Sweden, we haven't found anything better yet. Electricity, water supply all nearby. Long cable but not needed. Pitch operators very friendly, sanitary facilities always clean. Leisure facilities of all kinds. What more could you want.Automatisk oversat.
- Alexandra P.June 2015PositiveLake view, location, canoe rentalNegativE 18 can be heard, no CEE connections (only Schuko), power connections are far apart (take a long cable with you)Beautiful place on a beautiful lakeTourist pitches directly on the lake, canoe and rowing boat hire. Beautiful lake with many islands. Approx. 45 min. to Glaskogen nature reserve.Automatisk oversat.
- Joachim J.June 2013PositivePeace and pure natureSimply an idyllI stayed at this campsite for 8 days a year ago and I was and still am thrilled. Sure, there are many lakes in Sweden, including lakes with campsites. But here everything is just right if you are looking for peace and quiet and love the water, the forest and nature. The sanitary facilities were always... very clean. The groundsman was very pleasant and helpful. You can explore the beautiful lake with its many islands in canoes, which you can hire on site.Automatisk oversat.
- Holger L.July 2012Nice and quiet place directly on the lake, good fishing and hiking opportunities in beautiful nature, cycling well feasible - but mountain biking recommended, canoe, boat and bike rental directly on site. Very uncomplicated and friendly team. Nothing for people who want hustle and bustle...Automatisk oversat.
