- U W.September 2022Positiveshady, quiet, culture directly in front of the campsite, very clean, very friendly staff, small store where you can get everything just opposite, good restaurant next to the campsite, cycle paths start directly at the campsite. Both shady and sunny large pitches available at reasonable pricesAutomatisk oversat.
- Rolf K.June 2022PositiveVery good restaurant (fish) adjacent with reasonable prices and good serviceNegativToilets without toilet seat/cover and pool closes at 18:00Quiet campsiteVery nice shady place with a very good adjacent fish restaurant with reasonable prices and good service. Unfortunately the toilets are without toilet seats/lids and the pool closes at 18:00 which disturbs the overall impression a little.Automatisk oversat.
- Lothar B.April 2022PositiveShowers always hot water free of charge and clean WC always clean, quiet place Entire site is constantly maintained Ideal location for excavations Grocery store directly opposite the entrance Very good restaurant (fish) adjacent with reasonable pricesNegativAt night you need a flashlight to get to the shower and toiletNice quiet campsiteSmall, quiet campsite where we felt very comfortable, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Most of the pitches are in the shade, only a handful are sunny and the store opposite is small but has almost everything. If you love fish, the adjacent restaurant is the place to go. A marked cycle path, e.g. to Grado, is practically on the doorstep.Automatisk oversat. - Antonio F.October 2021PositiveOrder and cleanlinessNegativnonea beautiful OctoberFor the first time, the campground also opened throughout October. I must say that it lived up to the period. Excellent services and large, well-structured pitches. Easy walk to the center and the archaeological museum, which is very nice and a testament to the solid presence of the Romans. Very good experience.Automatisk oversat.
- klaus t.May 2021PositiveQuiet place; Alimentari opposite offers sensational delicacies; close to the excavations; bike rental - so you can get to Grado on the cycle pathNegativ-----Culture, cuisine, relaxationAfter the corona measures, there were still few people on the road and so we had more than enough space. The fish restaurant to the right of the entrance offers good food and open sparkling wine. The ladies at reception were very friendly and helpful.
When it rained at night, small beetles got into our camper van (they used the tiniest openings, even in the garage). We were only able to "remove" the very last ones at home with the vacuum cleaner.Automatisk oversat. - Konrad F.August 2020PositiveQuiet and great surroundings. No entertainment or disco during the vacation season. PoolNegativMosquitoes in the evening, but normal with the water all around.3rd visit to this squareSuperbly located square with a view of the basilica. Ideal for those interested in history. Not too far to the beach, about 10km by bike or car. Parking in Grado requires a talent for improvisation.Automatisk oversat.
- Sascha M.August 2019PositiveValue for money location Friendly staff W-LAN (free)Negativno toilet seats!!!! no toilet paper!!! small pitches no catering on siteOur 2nd visit...... after 16 years. We recognized a lot of things, they hadn't changed. The showers have now been renovated and are really nice. The site itself is kept simple, but can convince as an overnight stay. Pitches are rather small, cable reel necessary, as power connection is sometimes further away. I wouldn't stay longer than one night, but I'd be happy to stay again as a stopover!Automatisk oversat.
- Patricia P.September 2018PositiveCleanliness, quiet and close to the city, bus stopNegativNone detectedCulture and natureVery quiet but conveniently located campsite. Bus stop and small store directly opposite, within walking distance of the excavations and the town. Extremely friendly operators, very helpful! Lovely swimming pool. Sanitary facilities older but always very well maintained. We will be back!Automatisk oversat.
- Krátký H.August 2018Positive- shaded and spacious pits - swimming pool - friendly staff - priceNegativ- biting insect - heavy traffic on a nearby road (passing along the northern border of the camp)Spacious and shaded tent pitsStrategic location - not far from the seashore, but away from tourist crowds and loud attractions. Located at the northern outskirts of Aquileia, a small town with very famous ancient and medieval history and therefore full of archaeological sites (tip for history lovers). Large tent pitches - lot of... space for tents and cars, with an intimacy for yourself. Enough of shade - the entire camping is roofed by tall trees. Swimming pool (free use) is a nice present especially for children. Small shop right in front of the camp entrance, a supermarket cca 400 m in the main street. 3 tips: a) do not forget to bring along a toilette paper b) do not forget to bring enough insect repellent c) place your tent as far from the entrance to the south as possible - the northern border of the camp goes along a street with heavy traffic all the day and night.Automatisk oversat.
- Renate D.April 2017NegativJust not with a discount card, the place is loudNot recommended for ACSI guests.Wanted to try out our new ACSI card in April. Although the huge pitch was still empty, we got a pitch right next to the hedge to the road. Loud is still flattering, telephoning, talking, watching TV was not possible when a car drove past. Nor could we sleep through the night. We only stayed a few days... because the corner is very interesting. Toilets have Italian charm, showers are modern and everything is always clean. The lady at reception only spoke Italian and Portuguese. On the third day there was a lady on duty who also spoke German and was very friendly. She couldn't do anything about our situation.Automatisk oversat.
- Dietmar H.August 2016PositiveGeographical location, pleasant ambience, good value for money, overnight stay with ASCI card and additional car to the motorhome € 23.00NegativArrival is gladly seen from 12.00 o'clock!Overnight stayWe stayed at this site for the first time at the end of August and were pleasantly surprised after our initial exploration. Small but pleasant site with pool, food vending machines (cappuccino is very good), sanitary facilities partly renovated and always clean. On our return trip from Dalmatia we stayed... there again, highly recommended even if you want to stay a few days longer, good proximity to Grado, basilica right next door, very suitable for dogs, the site is also open at night for walking dogs. We will be back!Automatisk oversat.
- Bart S.July 2016PositiveGood location, price/quality, friendly staff, shade.NegativOutdated plumbingExcellent choiceThe campground is literally next to and perhaps even on the ruins of the Roman city. Just away from the craziness/busyness of the coast, and therefore much cheaper, but still easily accessible to attractions and culture in all directions. Good clean swimming pool. Plumbing is outdated but clean. Fine... shade with alternating spacious and smaller sites. Restaurant next door, small store across the street. We used the campground on transit to Greece via the ferry leaving from Trieste. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Just before high season it was not crowded, in short our experience was excellent!Automatisk oversat.
- Dunja L.June 2016Positiveplenty of shade, mini market, excavations, temperature-controlled swimming pool, not overcrowded, small siteNegativSanitary building not up to date, many campers with dogsSmall, green, pure culture on the doorstep2 very simple small sanitary buildings, but always clean, 1 of them partially renovated. Plenty of shade, well-kept greenery, large pitches. Mini market and bus directly opposite the entrance. Swimming pool 24 degrees. Excavations and the famous basilica with mosaics within walking distance. To Grado... 15 min by car or 11 km on Alpe-Adria cycle path, which is about 400 m away. Very friendly owners, also spoke German and English. I felt very comfortable there and even extended my stay to 1 week.Automatisk oversat.

- Heribert W.September 2015PositiveBeautiful location, large plots, dog walk directly from the site.NegativAncient-ancient sanitary facilities.Pleasant placeBeautifully situated CP, large pitches, electricity at the pitches. Water unfortunately only centrally located. Right next to the excavations, which has a special charm. On the opposite side of the road a grocery store that offers everything you need. Nice pool, clean. Short walk to the town, but right... next to the square a restaurant offering good food. Warm welcome, friendly staff. It's not the site's fault that a tractor is almost constantly working the ground outside the site, nor that a large farm nearby is making a lot of noise. All in all, a beautiful site with one major flaw: the sanitary facilities. They were probably built by the Romans and have not been renovated since. But always clean. Toilets without glasses. No toilet paper. Hot water and electricity cost nothing extra. So: go there!Automatisk oversat.
- Claus V.August 2015PositiveShady, quiet, no hustle and bustleNegativSanitary facilities already outdated back then. Plague of mosquitoes!Quiet and not overcrowdedThe campsite is somewhat remote compared to other campsites (i.e. not by the sea). Without animation and other unimportant price-driving additions. You can therefore still find a good pitch even in August. It's nice to be able to visit the town's sights on foot. Pitches nicely shaded, we found them spacious.... Pool is available (we didn't use it). Nice shady pitches in the area also have a disadvantage: mosquitoes. Masses of them. The sanitary facilities were already outdated in 2009 (see comment below)...Automatisk oversat.
- Ralf K.July 2015PositiveLocation right next to the sights/archaeological parkNegativVery old sanitary facilitiesTop location - friendly receptionThe location right next to the sights is ideal. Sanitary facilities very, very old - but clean. Beautifully maintained pool, the restaurant next to the campsite, to which my food rating also refers, is really good, especially the fish dishes, the prices are reasonable.Automatisk oversat.
