- Wilfried B.September 2023PositiveBreakfast and the friendly serviceNegativI have not found any disadvantagesAgain and againSuper place, very clean with sanitary facilities. I was thrilled and good value for money.Automatisk oversat.
- Wolfgang B.June 2023PositiveQuiet location and good starting point for cycling tours.NegativnoneBeautiful placeA beautiful and quiet place near the coast. We could easily reach the coastal towns of Bensersiel, Neuharlingersiel, etc. by bike on quiet cycle paths.Automatisk oversat.

- Barbara D.September 2019PositiveCleanliness Friendly Quiet location Relaxed and nice atmosphere between permanent campers and touristsNegativActually none, if anything the sanitary facilities could be overhauled. But that didn't bother usSmall and cozyI can only agree with my predecessors. We arrived and immediately felt at home. The operator is very nice and helpful, just like the operator of the small village shop. However, the sanitary facilities have the flair of a 70s school changing room. You had to bring your own toilet paper. That didn't bother... us. Everything was super clean and free of charge, which is the main thing for us. Our dog didn't have to pay either. The price-performance ratio was good. There is a restaurant nearby where you can eat well and the coast is about 4-5 km away. For us there was nothing to complain about and we will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Andreas B.May 2019PositiveQuiet and cleanNegativNone noticed.Quiet and very friendlySmall quiet place with mostly permanent campers, but they are very sociable (there are exceptions everywhere). The pitches are large enough and some are next to the sanitary facilities (the noise was not a problem). The sanitary facilities are very clean (low season) but not up to date. For catering... there is a well-stocked kiosk with a very nice and attentive lady there is breakfast and rolls to order . There are numerous restaurants in the area, which can also be reached by bike. To the coast about 4 km on the bike path. Very nice helpful operator.Automatisk oversat.
- Manfred B.August 2018PositiveManageable space clean sanitary facilities sufficiently large pitches overall very nice permanent campers dogs free of charge reasonable pricesNegativa handful of permanent campersOne rotten apple spoils the whole basketActually, it would be enough for me to write: I have nothing to add to the positive reviews of the other campers so far. If, yes, if there weren't a few of the generally very nice and helpful permanent campers who think they have to spend hours at the kiosk exchanging banalities at the top of their voices.... One tries to drown out the other. Consideration is apparently a foreign word for these people. We had the misfortune of getting a very nice pitch right next to the sanitary facilities. This meant that we were exposed to this noise every day and so we decided to leave earlier. It was actually the kind of pitch we always look for. Not too big, beautifully situated, clean sanitary facilities, a friendly, committed owner, etc. If, yes if ...Automatisk oversat.
- Jörg D.August 2017Super place very nice operatorHave been to the campsite several times this year, super nice operator. We are thinking about becoming permanent campers.Automatisk oversat.
- Manfred O.July 2017Positivethe peace and quiet at night the friendliness and helpfulness and cleanliness.Negativfor me noFirst vacation in East FrisiaI stayed at this site for 3 weeks at the end of June and felt very comfortable. The sanitary facilities and the campsite were always very clean and well maintained. The friendliness and helpfulness of the operator and the nice kiosk operator are exemplary, not to mention the friendly permanent campers. The site is very suitable for excursions to the islands and for touring the northern part of East Frisia.Automatisk oversat.
- Heidi a.May 2017Positive-Always clean sanitary facilities -Price/performance -Friendliness and helpfulness -familiar -breakfast+cake in the village storeNegativfor us: nothingFavorite placeWe've been coming to our favorite campsite for over 10 years. Great permanent campers, super site operators, the village store is a hit. It's always like "coming home". You can go on great bike tours, eat fish, go to the islands and, above all, enjoy the peace and quiet.Automatisk oversat.
- Jörg M.May 2017NegativVery hard ground difficult without pegsQuiet little campsiteWe liked it very much, have already booked our next vacation there. Very nice operators. Clean sanitary facilities and well-kept site.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael B.September 2016PositiveYou are quickly on the coast or in Bremerhafen or the surrounding areaGood place to explore the areaQuiet place, friendly people, very good restaurant nearby. Will definitely be back next year.Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf B.August 2016PositiveQuiet location, dogs welcome, cleanNegativOutdated wash and shower rooms, no toilet paperFriendly, clean and well-keptWe spent 2 nights here to go to Langeoog for my wife's birthday. The place was perfect for that. Dogs are welcome here free of charge (not directly on the North Sea). The sanitary facilities were always clean, although it has to be said that everything there is quite old and cramped. Showers work without... tokens. Individual showers but communal changing room. Washbasins only partly with single lever mixer. There is NO TOILET PAPER in the toilets. I'd rather pay one euro more than always have to carry paper with me. The friendly operators and permanent campers know it like this. There are a lot of long-term campers here, but they were all friendly and helpful to the guests.Automatisk oversat.
- Dirk L.August 2015Positive- Nice operator - Inexpensive - Clean - Friendly - QuietNegativless suitable for children, yes and the drivewayAugust 2015 , Good, cheap and friendlyI can only agree with the previous writers, the place is good, cheap, quiet and idyllic. The place operator, Mr. Winter, is very friendly and helpful and also the permanent campers who mainly inhabit the place. The sanitary facilities are, as already described, not up to date, but always clean at any... time of the day or night (exceptions are always there but caused by campers). Quote from Olaf2006: For smaller children is nearby the Lütge-Land. (But was still closed when we were there. is still closed in August, does not look as if there is still operation. otherwise everything as in the other reviews.Automatisk oversat.
- Jürgen S.August 2015PositiveInexpensive, clean, quiet, dogs allowed. Friendly peopleRatingWe can only confirm the positive reviews of the other campers. We have already visited this site more than 10 times and will certainly do so again and again in the future. Simply everything super!!!!!!!!Automatisk oversat.
- Holger H.June 2015Positive- Inexpensive - Clean - Friendly - Quiet - Dogs welcome (free of charge)East Frisian surpriseSuperb price-performance ratio. Friendly site operators. Friendly and helpful permanent campers. Sanitary facilities not up to date (design) but fully functional and super clean. Idyllically situated on the banks of the Harle. Ideal as a base for exploring East Frisia, for long bike tours, or simply to relax and unwind. Recommended: the restaurant Kutscherkroog; a three-minute walk away; great and inexpensive fresh food. (Fantastic fish dishes)Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf P.April 2015PositiveNice operator. Small village store with nice service. Everything is very clean. Gas is also available in 5 kg and 11 kg bottles.NegativUh. Nothing right away.Good and cheap. The village store has bread rolls and the most important things. The operators are very nice and happy to help with maneuvering. The sanitary facilities are old but very clean, as is the dishwashing and laundry room. There are washing machines (2 for a fee) and 2 tumble dryers. We were there for a week... at Easter '15. Depending on where you stand it is very nice. We stood on the headland with a view of the Harle. But there are also pitches right at the entrance. Oh well. The prices are completely OK! The permanent campers are very nice, we've had other experiences. 5Km to the coast (Carolinensiel) easy to reach by bike. We had a dinghy and a 13 year old boy with us. There is a nice place for small rowing / inflatable boats with which you can immediately on the Harle. Fishing is also possible with a license. There should be all kinds of fish in the Harle. Bicycle rental nearby. Waste is separated and accessible at all times. Shower house is locked from 10-7pm. To commute between East Frisia and Wangerland and discover the place is not bad. For smaller children there is the Lütge-Land nearby (but it was still closed when we were there). There is also a football pitch for the older children and a sandpit for the younger ones. But all without supervision. If you don't necessarily need to be entertained all day and want to camp cheaply, this is the place for you. It's just not right on the coast, you have to be aware of that. For real North Sea fans. There is also a dog beach in Carolinensiel. Dogs are allowed on the campsite and "kicking tracks" are rare.Automatisk oversat.
- Ronny A.October 2014PositiveFriendliness, cleanliness, tranquilityNegativNoneFall vacation 2014We came across this campsite through various forums and found that the predominantly positive reviews are justified. Friendly, helpful campsite operators helped us with words and deeds. There is a small village store on the site, which is also open at this time of year and actually sells all the everyday... necessities. There is a great restaurant not far from the campsite. Conclusion: We will be heading back to Altfunnixsiel for our next fall vacation.Automatisk oversat.
- Maik F.September 2014PositiveVery dog-friendly. Very quiet and clean. Nice operator!NegativNarrow entrance for long caravans (but don't worry, I got up there in the end). North Sea coast unsuitable for dog owners!Dog-friendly campsite with plenty of peace and quietWe stayed at this campsite, which is characterized by permanent campers, in September 2014. Dogs are always welcome here. The operator is very nice and helpful. Peace and quiet without end! There is a restaurant with German cuisine just around the corner. The only drawback is that it's not possible to take dogs for a walk along the nearby North Sea coast. But that's not the campsite's fault.Automatisk oversat.
- Herbert L.September 2014Positivegood location fairly quiet cleanNegativNot for childrenquiet but still close to the seaThere are mainly permanent campers and small wooden houses. If you can live with that, you'll get a quiet and very centrally located, inexpensive site. You can reach the sea in a short time by bike. You pay for the spa (entrance) card when you register. Also the expected length of stay. The sanitary... building is older but renovated and always clean (but without toilet paper!) Unfortunately you can hear the main road more than you first think, at least with an easterly wind. Otherwise we liked it very much.Automatisk oversat.
