- Lysander K.August 2018PositiveFirstly the location, secondly the location and thirdly the location. You practically sit above the valley with a view of the mountains and the very Basque Sumbilla.NegativYou have to love the Basques: a little more rustic, a little louder, a little more reserved.Heavenly locationThe driveway to the campsite could make some people think twice, especially with a camper van. Tours into the hinterland (Senorio de Bertiz etc) no problem, to the coast (Hondarribia) no problem. Cycling challenging, but considerate, enthusiastic car drivers. Hiking mixed, from medium to moderately difficult,... e.g. Bera di Bidasoa to La Rhune, 6h, no train, as on the French side, which also brings the culture shock.
The yellow ball lamps on the square are beautiful in the evening. A dream in front of the panorama.
Attention! For Germans. At 10 p.m. there's action, all the Basques go to the toilet. Please don't think they're getting ready for the night. They are getting ready to go out for a night out and dinner ;-) A siesta between 2 and 5 hours helps a lot.Automatisk oversat. - Arta Georg D.July 2015PositiveQuiet location. Short distance to the N 121, e.g. towards Irun/France or Pamplona and the surrounding hiking areas.NegativSteep access road. Some pitches have slopes that make it difficult to set up caravans/motorhomes.Quiet - beautifully situated - magnificent old oak treesThe campsite is situated on a hill above the village of Sunbilla. The site is partly covered with beautiful old oak trees. The pitches are mostly large and well laid out. The staff are very friendly. However, communication is only possible in Spanish, Basque or French.Automatisk oversat.
