- Claudia S.August 2024PositiveCampsite first row, freezer available at the reception. The restaurant is very good and friendly.NegativThe sea and the private beach are not that exciting. More of a campsite for boats and mobile homes. The tents are displaced like everywhere else! For electricity for tents 8 euros is extremely expensive!Campsite first rowFor tents electricity 8 Euro is extremely expensive! Motorhomes get better pitches than tents. Cleanliness ok. Three of us stayed at this campsite in our camper van and we really liked it, so much so that we deviated from our plan to visit several places on the island and spent the whole... time here.
We were captivated by the campsite and the surroundings. A very nice welcome was followed by a drive around the site in a Caddy to show us available pitches.
We chose a pitch with a view of the sea, set up and went into vacation mode.
The town with all its stores, market and restaurants is within walking distance, and a short bike ride away.
The harbor offers ferries to the island of La Maddalena, and boat trips to the surrounding islands to marvel and swim. The water is still at bathtub temperature at this time of year. Snorkeling and SUP paddling in secluded bays is great.
The store at the campsite has a lot to offer, but unfortunately the prices are high. Much cheaper in town.
The restaurant is great, also in terms of price.
The pizzas are outstanding.
We will be back...Automatisk oversat. - Markus S.June 2022PositiveGreat for boaters Close to Palau, max. 12 min. walk. Quiet placeNegativInternet free, after 30 minutes you had to log in again, no problem with the laptop, cell phone and Ipad sometimes had a bit of trouble.Good place for boat ownersThe reservation in advance worked great, our request whether we had to rent a place for the boat was denied. Every boat has space, we look when they are there. This worked out really well. We were able to slip at the site, it was a "natural ramp", sandy. We only have a front-wheel drive, the harbor keeper,... Walter, then slipped us in with the jeep and then parked the trailer. Our accommodation was a bungalow, functional and cleanly furnished.
The proximity to Palau is perfect.Automatisk oversat. - Steffen H.May 2022PositiveThere are campsites right by the sea. Friendly, helpful reception, simple storeNegativPartially standing/squat toiletsSimple fine place, good for tentsSimple site, also good for tents. You arrive at the reception and can choose a campsite. If you don't like it, you can move on. We had a campsite right by the water, most of the pitches are nicely shaded.
Unfortunately, access to the beach is restricted by motorhomes parked almost on the beach. A few rules restricting the choice of pitch in favor of all guests were good.
8€ for electricity (tent) is not reasonable.Automatisk oversat. - Michael G.May 2022PositiveGood restaurant, friendly staff, dog beach very close, center within walking distanceNegativnoneNatural space for dog ownersWe chose this site because of its proximity to the Palau dog beach. The free choice of pitches can be chaotic if several campers arrive at the same time. Some shady pitches. The restaurant offers cheap pizza, but also high-quality local specialties.Automatisk oversat.
- Rahan B.July 2021PositiveGreat view, nice bar area. Sparkling water at the machine. Footpath to Palau through cool forest. Would be voted the most popular campsite in Italy. (2021)NegativNot cheap. Seaside pitches cost more.Great camping with a view of the sea from almost every pitchBeautiful campsite. Laid out in terraces. You choose your own pitch. There are only a few numbered pitches. (These are DIRECTLY by the sea and cost extra) All with a view of the sea. Restaurant is great. Sanitary is fully ok. The store mainly sells organic products. You can walk along the beach or under the trees into town. Many boat tours are offered here in the town. There is a lot to discover in the region.Automatisk oversat.
- Beatrix P.June 2019PositiveLocationNegativTrouble, left after one night. Not an isolated caseJust annoyingPitch by the sea was quoted at the wrong price, so we had to leave the pitch. We were accused of intending to cheat, although we had told the usher from the start that we wanted a pitch by the sea. Lots of trouble with staff and reception.Automatisk oversat.
- Coco K.September 2017PositiveClose to the sea and peace and quiet Close to the village Great restaurantNegativSometimes the pitches are a bit crampedNice little place by the seaCute, this fine manageable place we liked it very much!!! We can definitely recommend the super good restaurant! Everything was great.Automatisk oversat.
- Gerhard & Sabine N.July 2017PositiveComplete package! Good starting point for excursions in Nodren Small but fine pebble beach No animationNegativCurrent unfortunately only 4 ampsCamping without frills! We came across this typical southern campsite by chance because we made a mistake with the telephone number. This mistake was clarified during a very friendly phone call and we spontaneously decided to stay here. The registration and 7 days later the deregistration were just as friendly, as was the information... about boat trips etc. that we requested. The friendliness of the registration was everywhere on site! At the small store, which has everything you could possibly need on site. At the bar, where you could drink real Italian espresso in different variations and various drinks, as well as in the restaurant where there is more than just pizza. The campsite was already fuller than expected, but we found a nice spot with enough sun in the morning and partial shade for the siesta. There are well-described collection points for garbage at almost every corner where it can be separated. These are emptied daily. The three sanitary facilities (2 newer, 1 older) are cleaned several times a day. There is hot water for washing up in the two newer ones. Hot water is available around the clock in the showers. The beach directly at the campsite consists of several smaller, mainly pebble bays. Outside the campsite in the direction of Palau, there is plenty of sunbathing space within walking distance and at the far end of the campsite there is a small path to an insider tip, but don't tell anyone ;-) WLAN was good enough on our pitch, but only limited to 30 minutes, then you had to log in again. But in times of abolished roaming charges within EU Europe, Wi-Fi is becoming secondary anyway.Automatisk oversat.
- Rainer L.September 2016PositiveIdeal for a vacation with a dog, great for boating!NegativSpace sometimes very tight. Sometimes loud parties until late into the night.Keeps what it promisesIf you want a beach vacation on a wide sandy beach, you're in the wrong place in the Sardinia region. There are small sandy bays surrounded by rocks. If you have a dog, you're in luck, because it can go to the Palau dog beach directly adjacent to the campsite (each dog can have a maximum of 4 people... with it :-), which we liked better than the campsite beach. The site has everything you need, nice and clean sanitary facilities, great pizzeria, the mini market is also ok. However, the pitches are quite small and sometimes difficult to reach, and when the site is full it gets very crowded. Without a mover, we would have had no chance of finding a pitch with our large caravan. If you have a boat with you, you'll feel at home, the campsite has its own jetty and the motorboat area is a dream! We rented a motorboat in Palau, highly recommended!!!Automatisk oversat.
- Marko S.August 2016Positive- Good excursion options for boat owners - delicious pizzaNegativ- small beach - loud music from PalauOnly recommended for boat ownersSpent our 3-week summer vacation (Aug./Sept.) on the site. The site was quite full at the beginning - mainly Italians. There are shady terrace pitches for tents. Motorhomes are mostly relegated to a large pitch. Tent owners have to park their vehicle in a separate parking lot. The staff are very friendly.... The campsite is well suited for boat owners as there is a jetty and buoys (for a fee). We took our boat to the beautiful bays on the islands every day (tip: there are small bays in the south of Caprera that are not overrun by mass tourism). However, the boat should be at least 4 meters long and the engine should have at least 20 HP, as there is a lot of wind, waves and many other boats/yachts. I would not recommend this site for campers without a boat, as there is only a very small stretch of beach, which is not necessarily beautiful. The site itself is relatively quiet. However, you can hear the loud music from the nearby town of Palau almost every evening/night. Two of the three sanitary facilities are newer. The third is a bit outdated. By campsite standards, however, they were all in a relatively clean condition. They were cleaned every day. The pizzeria on the campsite is great!Automatisk oversat.
- Richard M.June 2016PositiveClose to the center of Palau and ferry to La Maddalena (15-20 minutes walk)NegativFrequently strong wind and therefore dusty.Recommended place at the northern tipMost of the site is on a slope with terraced pitches of various sizes. These pitches are mainly for tents as they are only accessible on foot. Below the slope is a large flat area for motorhomes and caravans (more like a parking lot), in front of which is a small sandy beach with a view of La Maddalena.... It is necessary to park your car separately after entering the campsite (as on most Italian campsites). Sanitary facilities are older but everything works and is cleaned regularly. Everything you need is available in the mini market. Excellent restaurant; nice staff;Automatisk oversat.
- Gabriela H.September 2015PositiveVery good restaurant. Close to Palau and La MaddalenaNegativCleanliness. Mobilhome in need of renovation. Partly unfriendly staffPrice/performance ratio is not rightThe mobile home made a pretty run-down impression and wasn't very clean either. For this price we have rented much bigger and nicer ones in other places and the whole campsite was not really clean, garbage everywhere. Some of the staff were neither friendly nor helpful. All in all, not really recommendable.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich K.September 2014PositivePizzeria, small bathing bay ideal for small childrenNegativSanitary facilitiesPoor sanitary facilitiesPrices like on a 4 star pitch. Sanitary facilities have not been renovated since they were built. Cashiering yes, investing no. Pizzeria very good though.Automatisk oversat.
- Sascha T.July 2014Positive- attentive night watchman - plenty of shade - proximity to PalauBeautiful place in quiet surroundings and yet close to the villageIn July 2014 we spent 2 nights with a tent on this site. We received a friendly welcome at reception and were shown several pitches to choose from. The shady pitches are parceled out and laid out in terraces. The car must be parked separately in a parking lot on the campsite grounds. The campsite is... located directly on the water and has its own small beach and boat moorings. The village can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. From here you can book boat trips to the Maddalena archipelago (highly recommended). There are 3 sanitary buildings, one of which is a bit outdated. The other two are relatively new and clean. The restaurant on site is quaint and the food is recommendable. The prices are reasonable but the service is mediocre (long waiting times). We liked the night watchman who made a tour of the site every hour or so. Overall, this campsite is a good starting point for exploring Palau and the surrounding area.Automatisk oversat.
- René R.April 2013PositiveNo animation, great location, nice restaurant, rent a boat in the harbor and drive to the campsite to pick up the family and then the islandNegativSmall starnd, plots, pitches difficult to manage, small supermarketIngenious locationDirectly by the sea with jetty, rocks in front, lots of shade, close to the town, approx. 15 min. walk. - erich W.October 2012A site characterized by rental houses with few nice pitches for campers; good sanitary facilities; good supermarket; we did not test the restaurant due to loud background musicAutomatisk oversat.
- Manfred K.September 2012According to the reception, the nudist area has been closed for two years! Comparatively very good sanitary facilities. Walking distance to Palau is the biggest plus of the site. Few beautiful pitches. Small beach area.Automatisk oversat.

- JG S.April 2010We stayed at this campsite during the Easter vacations. Unfortunately, there was very little going on at this time and the restaurant and market were therefore closed. However, that wasn't too bad as you can get to Palau quickly by car or on foot. There are lots of nice restaurants and some larger supermarkets.... In the low season "only" one sanitary building was open. Everything promised on the homepage was available and quite clean. However, the water for washing up was cold (probably changes in high season). I can't comment on the showers as we showered in the camper van. There is a small playground for children. It is important to note that the wind is often very strong. Awnings and awnings must always be well secured. We were almost unable to use our awning in April. All in all, I can say that Baia Saraceno is a normal standard campsite without much comfort in a wonderful location right by the sea with good excursion destinationsAutomatisk oversat.
