The location of the pitches, especially on the headland and in field A, is unique.

On arrival, 70 percent of the pitch was a muddy wasteland due to several generously laid out awnings on wet ground
Awning carpets should be banned
Compared to previous years, some things have deteriorated. On the day of arrival, shortly after setting up, the first visit from the security team with the request to put the car in the parking spaces. The next day, after shopping, it was the same story. The car was parked on the pitch for the duration... of the coffee, followed by a call from reception to refrain from doing so. On the day of departure at 09.00 the guard even followed me to see where I was going. He was only reassured when I said I was leaving and wouldn't be back.
The pitches on the headland were barely green, everything was muddy and the caravan with mover was almost impossible to move on the soft ground.

We were plagued by swarms of small insects (midges?) in the evening. Of course, it's not the campsite's fault!
Relaxed days in Friesland
Our very spacious Comfort-Plus pitch was in field B with a view of the water. When we arrived on a Sunday, there were many permanent campers on the pitch. On the following days, we were almost the only guests on this part of the pitch. In the high season it is probably much busier. The site - a grass... pitch with bushes and trees - is very well maintained and the sanitary building was always spotlessly clean. There are a number of signposted cycle routes and walking paths. We found the site very suitable as a base for visiting the many small Frisian towns by car. We didn't visit the restaurant, but tried the freshly prepared pizzas at the snack bar on "pizza day" - highly recommended!

Fantastically beautiful, great location in beautiful nature
This campsite is surrounded by water. You can watch boats and ships all day long. We loved it when we were there over Easter and booked 14 days in the summer straight away. So far it has been the most beautiful campsite where we have spent our vacation. Pure nature, water, fishing, hiking, cycling, shopping nearby, ... the area offers the right activity for everyone.

Great campsite
We stayed at the campsite for one night. We had a pitch at the very front of the headland. Spacious and with a great view of the water. We hired a motorboat at the campsite for half a day, which is worthwhile. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean. The supermarket is well stocked. There are also a number of leisure activities.

When we arrived at the campsite, we received a friendly welcome at reception. The way to our pitch was easy to find, and once we arrived at the headland it was easy to maneuver the trailer in by car. Electricity and fresh water directly at the pitch. From the pitch to the sanitary building you have to... plan 5 minutes on foot, but we knew that because it is also on the website of the CP so no problem. The sanitary building was clean, but it was often cleaned at 8 o'clock in the morning, we felt the time was not necessarily appropriate. A matter of taste. All in all, we spent a nice long weekend. On the negative side, however, the insects become quite aggressive from 8pm! Small flies that bite, not even the mosquitoes. The only option is to flee into the awning or caravan. However, a permanent camper reported that it is not that bad all year round.

Excellent campsite
Everything is just right at this campsite. Location, cleanliness, well-kept grounds, friendly staff, water sports facilities, very good sanitary facilities, very well-stocked supermarket with normal prices. In the high season the number of sanitary facilities could be too limited. Some of the lighting on the pitches was insufficient.

Very nice place by the water and nature reserve
Wonderful place! The "luxury pitches" on a headland are surrounded by water on three sides. Located directly on a canal and one (of many) small marinas. Lots of boat and sometimes ship traffic (some very large barges) pass directly in front of the caravan. We thought it was great! Automatic barrier system... that recognizes the license plate works perfectly, even with German license plates :-) Super friendly staff and a fantastic Italian restaurant (Porto Casa) in the village (Earnewâld) rounded off the positive picture, with a very beautiful nature reserve (Nationaal Park De Alde Feanen) right next door. In the low season very reasonably priced (2 nights, 2 persons car with camper van total EUR 41.50, hot water in the showers included) WLAN but very expensive (15 EUR / day)

Large, parceled-out CP, divided by many trees and bushes; located directly on the lake, crossed by canals. The pitches are spacious. Nice and clean sanitary facilities; very well-stocked supermarket; snack bar and restaurant on site. Friendly staff.
