- K. G.June 2017PositivePool ideal for children. Large, shady pitchesNegativDog excrement on the plotsQuiet campsiteThe campsite is in a really nice location (directly on a cycle/footpath that leads to Nimes) and very quiet. The described approach leads directly through Sommières and was a bit of an adventure for our team (we drove differently on the way back). As the rental accommodation is spread loosely across... the site, you still have a campsite feel and even at the weekend it wasn't excessively noisy despite the relatively large number of visitors. The pool area is great for children and is surrounded by high glass walls so that small children can't get in on their own. The camping store sells everything you need and in the morning you can buy (pre-ordered) croissants and bread. We didn't try the restaurant, but other campers were very satisfied. Only the cleanliness of the pitches leaves something to be desired. We had to remove dog excrement from ours (it was the same with the mobile home next to us) and there was also a lot of garbage (butts, paper, broken clothespins) lying around. Therefore one star deduction.Automatisk oversat.
- Bertl t.May 2016PositivePeace, cleanliness and many possibilitiesNegativnone foundBeautiful placeHighly recommended, especially in the low season. Huge pitches, nice and clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff. The town of Sommieres is within walking distance and the market on Sat is well worth a visit. Cycle path on a former railroad line and a great network of paths for walking. We wanted to stay 3 nights and ended up staying 8.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael N.June 2014Worth a tripWe (2 adults + 2 small children) stayed at the campsite for a week. The campsite is small and well laid out. The pitches are large and equipped with everything you need. The bar area and the nearby playground and pool area are great. Due to the many chalets, the CP feeling is somewhat ruined, but this... is now (unfortunately) widespread. The location of the campsite is very good. The village of Sommieres is within easy reach and the weekly market is well worth a visit. The Mediterranean is also not far away. We were at the beach in a good 30 minutes by car. You can park directly behind the dune. I would particularly like to highlight the new climbing park near the campsite. Even our 2-year-old daughter was able to try out her climbing skills there - without any risk. We had a great time on the campsite and will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Ferdinand S.October 2011Only conditionally recommended for camping touristsVery quiet in the low season, just right for slightly older people looking for real relaxation, sanitary facilities very good, but probably a little faulty as far as the hot water is concerned, WLAN (chargeable) available on a large part of the site, there is a lot to discover in the small town of Sommieres,... the wine cooperative in Route de Saussines is recommended, there is also a supermarket with a petrol station just behind it. Addendum 2015: The tranquillity of the site has declined since more and more mobile homes have been set up here, which are mainly frequented by visitors over long weekends who want to hold their family reunions or parties there or otherwise let their hair down for a few days. As a result, the character changes to a vacation home settlement or to what you experience on German campsites with predominantly permanent campers. It's a shame, but that's no longer an option for me.Automatisk oversat.
- Konrad D.August 2011The 5 stars that the site gives itself are too high. The pool is too small for the size of the pitch, the distances to the sanitary building or to the store are far too long, depending on the pitch. Getting out with the dog without him doing his business is very difficult, almost impossible without a car. Washing-up water not hot, shower water adjustable. The pitches are nicely laid out and shady.Automatisk oversat.
- helene b.April 2011We had a wonderful stay at Domaine de Massereau during the Easter vacations. Situated between the Camargue and the Cévennes, we had the chance to go on some lovely walks, visit Aigues Mortes and Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, as well as the Bambouzeraie in Anduze and stroll through the pretty villages... of the Cévennes. On site, two swimming pools, one heated to 28°. The village, which we didn't know, is also very nice. A faultless holiday. We recommend it.Automatisk oversat.
