Quiet and yet close to the action Cycle paths right next to the pitchNegativSanitary facilities visually clean, but it didn't always smell like this...Close to the action!We really enjoyed the location directly on the beach promenade (with restaurants, ice cream stalls, children's playground, etc.) and close to the center. Bathing beaches with sunbathing lawns are also within easy walking distance. There are cycle paths right next to the campsite and public transport... stops almost directly in front of the entrance. The campsite is still very quiet. But not always. When we were there, there was a fairground between the lake and the campsite. That takes one star off the rating for quietness.
The site is easily accessible from the highway and via the beautiful road along the lake. Good starting point for hikes and via ferrata on Mont du Chat.Automatisk oversat.Besvaret fra Camping du Sierroz August 21, 2024Hello Gafner,
We're delighted that you enjoyed your stay at our campsite and on our beautiful Alpine Riviera. Our campsite is indeed very well located, just a few steps from Lac du Bourget, and all amenities such as restaurants, bike paths or activities like the Via Ferrata.
We apologize if the events... taking place on the Esplanade du Lac have caused any noise pollution. We make every effort to be transparent with our customers.
We take note of your comment about our sanitary facilities. We rarely receive this type of feedback, as our toilets are cleaned three times a day.

The place is large, the reception very friendly, the sanitary facilities a bit outdated but clean, hot water is free, shopping facilities are nearby according to the reception and can be reached on foot. There is a café on the site where you can also... buy bread. Nice lakeside promenade with several restaurants are less than 100 meters away. In the town there is a casino and thermal baths for gamblers. In the high season it can quickly become complete.Automatisk oversat.
Urs S.October 2012Overnight stayWe used the site as an overnight stop when passing through. Uncomplicated, quick registration at reception. Pitches parceled out in a checkerboard pattern with hedges. Well-kept sanitary facilities. Approx. 200 meters from the lakeshore. Several restaurants within walking distance. Update September 2017:... We visited the site again. Entrance area and reception have been rebuilt or relocated, entrance is now on the lakeside promenade. The former restaurant and store have disappeared and been "replaced" by fixed mobile homes. At the end of September, the showers were only accessible in one sanitary building and all the others were already closed, even though the site was fully booked!Automatisk oversat.- Tina J.March 2012We came across the site in the ADAC camping guide when we were passing through. Uncomplicated check-in despite late arrival, nice groundsman. Sanitary facilities not new, but well maintained, very warm, pitches divided by hedges. And for free: a fantastic panorama!
