- Pit A.September 2024PositiveClose to the highway. Reception manned until 20:30.NegativClose to the airport. Exit only when reception is open. Positive for safety reasons, negative for early morning take-off.Passing through, a restless night. We set aside 2-3 days for the journey home, which meant at least one overnight stay. We headed for Düsseldorf. Arrival possible until 20:30, if it should be later, we should call. We received a friendly welcome, the manager assigned us the pitch according to our wishes and connected the power supply.... The infrastructure is getting on in years, 3 old showers for the men. The sanitary facilities have to be climbed via a narrow path and a metal staircase.
The party or disco from a nearby restaurant disturbed us at night, but that's not the campsite operator's fault. The next morning we were woken up at 06:00 sharp by the first plane taking off. It was impossible to fall asleep again, as an airplane was now taking off from Düsseldorf every 2-3 minutes with its roaring turbines. Sleeping was no longer an option, so we left earlier, but that wasn't possible as the barrier is only opened during office opening hours, i.e. 08:00. We left the campsite at 07:55, bid farewell by the manageress.Automatisk oversat. - Laura G.July 2024Positive- Nice place, well-kept lawn. - Staff were all nice - Sanitary facilities were cleanNegativ- Few toilets and showers for the number of campers -was quite okWe spent 2 nights at the campsite. It was ok for this short time.
The sanitary facilities are quite small for the number of people, there were sometimes queues. But it was super clean. The pitches are well maintained. And the staff were friendly.Automatisk oversat. - Marcel S.May 2024PositiveClose to Düsseldorf's old town!Negativ50€ per day without shower Operators are very unfriendly Place is very old and you can see that tooVery unfriendly! No service! Totally overpriced!50 per night for a paper fair is more than outrageous, especially as the sanitary facilities are not even included. The site and all the facilities were built sometime in the 1950s and it feels like they have never been renovated. The operators, especially the man, are extremely unfriendly and rude. Dogs 🐕 are not allowed! You really don't feel welcome. It's better to burn your money. Pure rip-off!Automatisk oversat.
- Barbara S.May 2024PositiveThis was our 3rd time at this campsite and we were warmly welcomed again. The operators are extremely helpful. The small campsite has dense lawns and beautiful old trees. Despite its proximity to Düsseldorf's old town, it is an oasis of calm. Due to the flood, the water in the sanitary facilities had to be turned off for a short time. But if you camp on the Rhine, you have to expect high water.NegativNone.As always 100% satisfactionBread roll service at the weekend, always cold drinks in the fridge
Toilets and showers always very cleanAutomatisk oversat. - N K.May 2024PositiveClose to the city, but that's about it.NegativUnfriendly operator. No support or tips for camping newbies. Strong smelling toilet. Water is turned on during the midday rest period. You are locked in or out during the midday quiet period. Party at night is tolerated.DisappointingWe arrived and were received very unfriendly. We had to pay extra money to connect the electricity. (We had already paid for the electricity itself).
We mentioned that we were traveling with our caravan for the first time and had never done this before.
We were only asked if we had a mover.
At lunchtime,... the barrier was closed so that nobody could get in or out. The taps were also turned off in the toilets.
We were charged extra for the showers.
A tent group next to us partied at night and this was tolerated.
We were so disappointed by the interpersonal interaction etc. that we broke off our short trip a day early..... we had traveled 3 hours the day before for such a disappointment. Dogs are supposedly forbidden. However, there was a dog in the fence on the grounds.
The only positive thing was that you were quickly in the city by car.Automatisk oversat. - Kirsten W.August 2023PositiveLocationNegativOn arrival we were told that another group of 80 people were coming. We were told to use our toilet and shower from the caravan. There are 3 ladies' toilets and showers on the site (very, very basic) and 2 men's toilets and showers. The group has set up 15 tents, some directly in front of caravans. You are expected to have a 15-20m long power cable with you. We had to put our caravan within 1m of a tent although there was still 3m of space on the other side. The next day we had to repack our car. On the pitch where the bus was parked in the evening. We pointed this out. We had to repack in the evening. Owner and father very unfriendly. This is not a vacation. Place too expensive, untidy at the entrance. Lawn too high. Partly aircraft noise every minute We will not be backVery simple spaceToo expensive. Unfriendly as soon as you are shown to your pitch. So stress right from the start. Entrance area untidy.
Good location.
We will not come backAutomatisk oversat. - Edgar M.August 2023PositiveIt takes about 25 minutes by bike to get to the old town of Düsseldorf. There are e-scooters for hire in the area and a bus runs every 30 minutes.NegativThe only disadvantage is the aircraft noise from 06:00 to 23:00. But you can get used to it.Pleasant small campsiteThe site has everything you need for short stays. The operators are friendly, the site and sanitary facilities are clean.
The pitches are on well-kept grass and are individually selected for the guest depending on the vehicle.Automatisk oversat. - T. R.May 2022PositiveLocation to the Rhine meadows and the city, exercise area for the dog in the Rhine meadowsNegativNo legal possibility to stop as long as the barrier is closed or when guests are already standing in the entrance area, sanitary facilities cannot be used by people with walking disabilities.Missed opportunityIt's a shame really, the campsite is beautifully and conveniently located for a visit to Düsseldorf. But that alone is not enough.
Unfortunately, the site is quite untidy in many places, it just looks scruffy.
As a dog owner, you are given your own notice with rules of conduct that are quite a challenge.... But you won't find any practical tips on where to find the garbage cans.
The bright spot was the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities (thanks to the friendly lady).
Yes and finally the price € 42,? p.N. (2 pers. car, caravan, dog, electricity, without showers).
For that, very little is offered.Automatisk oversat. - A. V.September 2021PositiveThe location of the campground in relation to Düsseldorf. Great for cycling.NegativThe (specially raised for the camping fair!) price. And the way the owner treats his guests: way too small sites with no privacy for an outrageously high price!Never again!Because we were there for 2 nights during the Caravan Salon (a fair), the campsite was overcrowded!!! Every piece of grass was put a fat camper or caravan in between, so the table and chairs could barely stand between them. Moreover, everyone was charged € 12 per night more than normal: for € 40 per... night (+ € 1 for 6 min hot shower water) we stayed with 2 people and a modest camper. This is outrageous for such a simple campsite with no facilities. But the worst thing was, that when we returned to the campsite from Düsseldorf we were completely built in and could not leave on the day of our departure, because a caravan (with awning and extra tent) had been put behind us...! That's not possible!
Because the owner was not present at that time, we had to arrange with these people that we could leave.
We have no good word for this and will never come back!Automatisk oversat. - Claudia G.July 2021PositiveClose to the Rhine, quiet at nightNegativAircraft noise, no pitches, everything is charged extra, washrooms only accessible via stairsGood location, ok for a short staySimple site, good starting point for getting into town, airplanes very loud, groundskeeper a bit grumpy, clean.
Power cable is connected by the groundsman,
charged at 2 euros. Also visitor's car.
34 euros a bit expensiveAutomatisk oversat. - Bernhard R.August 2020PositiveThe proximity to the city is very good, the location of the site is also good and quiet.NegativLittle shade, no pitch structure available, the sanitary facilities are poor, too few for the number of campers, which means almost always queuing! The friendliness of the staff urgently needs to be improved.Good location, poor sanitary facilitiesAs there is no structure or pitches on the campsite, the whole place feels messy and crowded.
There is a small snack bar on the site which is very practical.
The sanitary facilities are too small, when it's rush hour in the morning, you can't be in a hurry.Automatisk oversat. - Steffen M.May 2020PositiveNice groundsman, e-charging station for e-bikes. Good price, beautiful landscapeNegativNothing to complain aboutCycling tripThe place is in an ideal scenic location, close to the city, gladly again, e- charging station for the e-bikeAutomatisk oversat.
- Thomas B.September 2019PositiveGood for visiting the city center by bike and public transport.NegativVery loud (but that's not the fault of the operators)!Fireworks, PartyIdeal campsite for visiting Düsseldorf city center. The campsite is located on a side arm of the Rhine. Very friendly welcome. The barrier opened punctually at 15:00. Registration without any problems. Fee paid immediately. Well, yes! We actually stayed the whole time. The site is very conveniently located... in the approach lane to the airfield. Lively flying activity until 22:00. On Sunday morning punctually at 00:00 o'clock private fireworks on the field. extremely good if you have just fallen asleep. Further party of the operator. Only a complaint around 02:00 a.m. brought peace. Actually, I have nothing against parties, but if I insist on quiet times, I have to stick to them myself (I think). The next time I'm in Düsseldorf, I'll look for another place or stay in a hotel. In any case, I won't be staying at this site again. The sanitary facilities are good for the location in the flood area. Always clean and with all consumables. The site is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank E.May 2019PositiveTop locationNegativNoneEverything great, anytime again!!!!!Nice and helpful operator. The pitch is clean. The lawn is always well maintained. Toilets and showers are OK. Washing up area also OK. The campsite is right on the Rhine. Short walk to the old town. Trade fair and stadium directly opposite. Outdoor pool can be reached in 5 minutes. Several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. All in all, we had a good time at the Lörick campsite. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Tina K.May 2019PositiveGreat groundsman Quick drive to the exhibition halls or stationNegativNo individual cabins for washingGreat groundsmanWe were at this site over Ascension Day. We had events in the exhibition halls, which we could reach super fast by car. for these purposes or short descent by bike, the place is highly recommended.Automatisk oversat.
- Axel W.May 2019PositiveFriendly. Clean. Neat and tidy. 20 minutes to the fair.NegativModerate impairment due to airport. But that's not the operator's fault.Unexpectedly good.Friendly reception. Arrival possible until 20:30. The site is located in a flood zone. Therefore container construction. Everything tidy and clean for these circumstances. We got a well-made schnitzel with chips. Short walk along the Rhine. Back to the trade fair tomorrow. Airport interference only moderate. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich O.April 2019PositiveClean everything within easy reach nicely located place and quiet despite the airportNegativSanitary facilities are getting on in years and small but cleanI felt comfortableI can't understand some of the negative comments, well it's always a matter of opinion because I was given a friendly welcome and the sanitary facilities take some getting used to but they are clean and you can do what they are intended for. You have peace and quiet here despite the nearby airport, so... I could sleep in. And you can do a lot of things and Düsseldorf's old town is not far away for a stroll. All in all, a beautifully located, simple, clean place, so it's not a 5-star place but you feel comfortable 👍.Automatisk oversat.
- Silke S.October 2018Very nice, small, familiar placeWe were only on the site from Friday to Sunday. The operators of the site were super nice and helpful, which also applies to the permanent campers on site. Everything you need to survive was available. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but everything was clean, warm and absolutely functional.... If you don't have too high expectations (but hey, we're campers and know we're not staying in a luxury hotel) and aren't overly sensitive to noise, this is a great place to switch off a little and unwind close to a big city right on the Rhine. We felt completely at ease and would definitely love to come back!!!Automatisk oversat.
- Micki K.September 2018PositiveCentral location to Düsseldorf and the trade fairNegativUnfriendliness, uncleanliness, disorder, need for renovationCentrally located, but questionable management...Unfriendliness is written in capital letters here. I have never experienced such an unfriendly reception as here! We were here for the Caravan Fair and it was definitely the last time. Very expensive, unclean and in extreme need of renovation!Automatisk oversat.
- Antje G.July 2018Again and again with pleasure !Very well located campsite...very nice operators...sanitary facilities always clean ...in the middle of the green and yet directly in Düsseldorf...very quiet location...I will definitely come back.Automatisk oversat.
