Only stones and muddy ground, no maintenance of the bathing area. Risk of injury due to unsafe footing in the water. Price-performance ratio is not right. It's right next to the road, but there are Oropax at night. The sandy beach is really great. On closer inspection, however, you can see how unpleasant it actually is. Starting with the check-in staff (who we later found out were the owners), who grunt at... you and don't say please or thank you. The sanitary facilities are in a shambles. Dirty, not fully functional and simply disgusting. There are exactly 6 washbasins per wash area (2 of which are in individual cubicles) for the entire site, at least 1 of which does not work - definitely far too few. Furthermore, sink area sinks leak. In front of the water there is a large meadow which is declared as a sunbathing area. In the evening, when there is no more sunbathing, this would be a great place to play, but as soon as the children start playing, the owner stands there and scares everyone away. "We don't want the children to play" was the reason given when asked. Last but not least, the campsite's own "restaurant". In the morning, if you're lucky, you can buy completely overpriced bread rolls there (8 rolls for 6 euros, is that still possible?) and in the evening there is the 0815 food that you would expect from such a restaurant. Unfortunately, it's not particularly tasty and the portions are not big enough to fill an adult. If you ask if you could have a bit more, you'll be grumbled at in an unfriendly way (including by the owner of the place, as we found out when we asked). We didn't eat there again. (Bread roll tip: there is a bakery about 100 m further on that offers very tasty bread rolls at a reasonable price). The only plus point: the campers there are very helpful and friendly. We had problems pitching our tent and received help as soon as we asked. Unfortunately, this is not enough to convince us to come back. This place could be so great, but it fails because of the rude operators who seem listless and annoyed by their business. Too bad.Automatisk oversat.

There is a large playing field in front of the small beach, where cyclists and hikers are also allowed to pitch their tents. In the previous season, we got a pitch in the first row, so the road noise was barely audible... and not disturbing. The site is not dominated by permanent campers, as is the case with almost all sites on Lake Constance, and these are only located from the third row towards the water. The toilets, showers and sinks in the modern sanitary building were absolutely clean at all times. To shower you get a chip with credit on it, which is then counted when showering. Bread rolls and pretzels are baked in the morning and can be collected from the restaurant. The cycle path passes right in front of the campsite next to the main road and there are plenty of places to cycle to for a short break.Automatisk oversat.

We stayed there for two weeks and loved it. The new and spacious sanitary building is comfortably designed (large showers, some with... washing facilities, separate from the toilet room), but is unfortunately cleaned too rarely. In the low season, of course, the site was not fully occupied, but even then the cleaning intervals should not be several days, during which the waste garbage cans overflow and dirt is clearly visible. With full occupancy, the problem is likely to be even greater. The food offered at weekends in the campsite restaurant outside the "normal" menu is highly recommended. Overall, a very recommendable site, even if we would like to see a little more friendliness towards visitors (you can greet the camping guests instead of just walking around the site with a grumpy expression).Automatisk oversat.

The proximity to the water is nice, but the small sandy beach is quickly overcrowded. Ideal as a haven of peace and starting point for excursions around Lake Constance.
