We ate once in the Hetzinger Stüffgen restaurant. Everything... there was also to our complete satisfaction (food, nice service)
But the highlight was the owner couple, who were so nice and courteous and made us enjoy our stay.

There is a bookcase, good idea :-)
The app is clear and helpful.
The location directly on the Rur is very nice and the surrounding area invites you to go hiking (forest, reservoirs, Nideggen Castle...).

The Rurtalbahn, which runs through our campsite, is indeed a unique selling point and... brings a special touch to the area. The honking of the train is somehow part of our character and contributes to the unique atmosphere that many of our guests appreciate. It's great that you got to grips with it after getting used to it!

Starting with the friendly contact when we booked. When we arrived we were greeted warmly straight away. Our pitch was about 15m from the Ruhr, which was of course lucky, but you're never far from the Ruhr here. It's great for dog owners, because you can go for a great... walk here without having to use the car. A special "goodie" is the industrial dishwasher. Not only practical, but also saves water when washing up.

We were here about 25 years ago over Easter. Under the management of the site at the time, it was anything but clean and well-kept.
The current tenant knows his trade. Everything is just great and a perfect alternative for us to charge our battery,... as we live "just around the corner".

However, I would like to point out that the kohlrabi... field at the end of the campsite is mainly used by the children to play ball and is not a designated walking area. For this reason, lighting is not possible there (=not permitted). We thank you for your understanding and are pleased that you were still able to enjoy a relaxing break with us!

The staff were absolutely friendly and welcoming.
As we were a bit awkward with one or two things, we were glad that the staff were on hand to help and advise us.
Even a small repair to the jockey wheel... was repaired on site free of charge and immediately.
We have rarely experienced such friendly and competent staff.
We also really liked the surrounding area. Excursion destinations and hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity or can be reached quickly by car.
We will definitely be back and can only recommend the site.

We are very happy that we discovered this idyllic place for ourselves and feel very comfortable every time we stay there. There is a family atmosphere, everyone is on first-name terms and... the staff are all very friendly, courteous and helpful. The sauna is absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed using it.
