- E. I.September 2017PositiveComfortable facility, for those who like itNegativDreary scenic locationDreary landscapeFrom Cavallon on the A7 via Isle sur le Sourge to Pernes, the journey takes us through an unusually bleak landscape for Provence, with harvested fields between high reed hedges and tattered plastic tarpaulins. When we arrived at the campsite, we were not exactly asked if we had pre-booked, which was... not the case. It was therefore not possible to check in. We could have spent the night in a parking lot in front of the campsite and asked again the next day. We then had a look at the campsite and decided not to stay because we didn't like either the surroundings or the campsite. The pitches are in alcoves with high hedges that restrict the view and the swimming pool is an oversized, fancy-style facility. The reception and staff would also fit into a grand hotel. None of this suits our type of camping. We therefore drove on to Malemort du Comtat, about 25 km away, where we found a wonderful campsite and were very happy with our decision.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael S.May 2017PositivePerfection in all areasNegativInfrastructure could reach its limits at full occupancyLuxury camping in the countrysideWe have been there several times, and since this year the site has been about twice as big as before, thanks to an extension at the back. As you would expect, everything is perfectly laid out here too, regardless of the cost it seems. As always, the reception by the manager is friendly and very verbose,... in French of course, so registration always takes a little longer. The whole site is perfectly maintained, everything is of the finest quality, mostly large pitches with electricity, water, waste water and fast WIFI on site. Pool area beautifully laid out, with new children's paradise and (cold) whirlpool. The sanitary building is spacious and clean, but due to the open design, the mistral sometimes blows through the older front building, so it can get chilly). The new sanitary building at the back has been improved, it is closed, heated and air-conditioned. All in all, a perfect place... I think that the pool is clearly too small when the campsite is full, but as far as I know the operators will change that soon.Automatisk oversat.
- Juergen R.May 2017PositiveFriendly operators Cleanliness and beautiful places Bread roll serviceRelaxing days in cultivated hospitalityA very nicely laid out site, with overgrown hedges and direct footpaths to the sanitary building on the older part, and spacious pitches in the newer area (comfort pitches), but still small planting and therefore less shade. The sanitary area is spacious and always very clean. There is no gender segregation... (as is so often the case in southern climes). The operators are very friendly and courteous. For travelers who do not speak French, communication in English is very easy. The beautifully designed pool area and the on-site restaurant are also worth mentioning.Automatisk oversat.
- AC J.May 2017PositiveClean and quiet - if you like frogs.NegativThe smell of heating oil - when the wind blows unfavorably. In the heart of ProvenceThe campsite is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities were always clean and are very well ventilated. In the older part, the hedges and trees are high enough for shade and privacy. On the newer part (= premium area) the planting is still a bit small. The hotspot for the free WiFi is located at... the sanitary facilities in the premium area, where reception is better. There is a frog concert every evening, at least in the "season". The surrounding area is characterized by fruit, vegetable and wine growing. Lavender like on the postcard idyll is less common. Adjacent to the campsite is a horticultural farm with - as is often the case in the area - foil tunnels. In unfavorable wind conditions, you can smell the fumes from the heating oil tank halfway across the campsite. The pool area is nicely designed and quiet. There are no open spaces for playing. There is also no multi-sports field. There are many well-signposted cycle routes for all abilities. The host family is always friendly, hard-working and English is also spoken well.Automatisk oversat.
- Mimane H.April 2017PositiveGreat pool area, very friendly staff, well-kept clean placeNegativ?well-kept, quiet complexWe spent the Easter holidays on this site and were surprised how few vacationers are in the region at this time of year. As we only had a few days, we rented a mobile home this time and left the car at home. The mobile homes are all as good as new and very modern and relatively functional/spartan. Unfortunately,... the cleanliness left a little to be desired. The site itself is very nice and well-kept, and the sanitary facilities are also clean. As is usually the case in France, you won't find any gender segregation here. The lower, new pitch area is particularly nice, with really large pitches and a brand new sanitary block. The pool area is also very pretty and with various water games, slides and a whirlpool, there is something for every age group. Everything is spotless here too! The restaurant was unfortunately not open at this time of year, but the bread roll service was great. The staff are very friendly and at least speak English. Otherwise, in this region it is definitely an advantage if you speak a few words of French. All in all, this campsite is definitely recommended and is well above the average in France.Automatisk oversat.
- Angi G.June 2016PositivePool area, beautiful surroundings, clean sanitary facilities.NegativPlease make a reservation, as the month of June is low season and also very popular with Dutch and Belgians. The non plus ultra of camping vacationsThis is the fourth time we (seniors) have vacationed in Provence with our camper van. The spacious campsite with beautiful pitches and top sanitary facilities exceeded our expectations. Great pool area with whirlpool. The operators were extremely friendly. Daily bread roll service, great restaurant with... outdoor terrace (view of the pool area). Large supermarket 1 km away. Top excursion destinations within a radius of approx. 40 km. A big thank you to the owner couple for their helpfulness. In the 3rd week of our stay we had a short circuit on the fridge and had to move away from the power connection. They got a cable drum, a floor lamp and phoned a company in Avingnon who sent an electrician but unfortunately he couldn't repair the damage on site and so we had to go there because the fridge had to be removed. From there we went straight home, a pity because we had booked 3 'weeks. Too bad, but we will be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Sönke F.July 2013PositiveLocation, size, cleanliness, friendlinessA top spot in the heart of ProvenceA lovely small, well-kept and very well-run site, nice and quiet. The best starting point for exploring Provence. Beautifully laid out pitches; clean sanitary facilities; very friendly and helpful operator couple. Well-stocked and numerous shopping facilities in the neighboring (enchanting) village of Pernes les FontainesAutomatisk oversat.
