- Ener T.August 2023PositiveDirectly on the lake, small store, older but clean sanitary facilities, good plot size, quiet location, free drinking waterNegativnot everywhere WLAN, for those who need it ;-), showers could be hotterFamiliar and uncomplicated campsiteVery nice campsite with a familiar and uncomplicated flair. The location directly on the lake was great, baguettes and croissants were available in the store, but the bakery in the village about 2km away is really worth a visit. Shopping facilities in Gerardmer (Aldi, Lidl, SuperU, Supermarche). We were there for 10 days and really enjoyed our time.Automatisk oversat.
- Sabine W.August 2019PositiveNice location, quiet at nightNegativDirty sanitary facilities,Dangerous to lifeWere here 08/2019. Sanitary facilities are outdated and constantly dirty with grass clippings and sand. Let our dog swim. He brought a fishing rod from the festival campers which got stuck in his fur. It would have been unthinkable if a child had got the hook in his eye while swimming.Automatisk oversat.
- Franz N.May 2019PositiveBeautiful location, large plotsNegativLoud, no site rules, the focus here is on profitBeen here on Father's Day, never againThe pitch is located directly on the lake, first and second row occupied by permanent or regular guests. Third row also ok, view of the lake available. The pitches are quite large, but more or less sloping. Motorhome was at an angle despite wedges. Electricity on site, water and waste water not. The... reception was ok, German is also spoken. On a long weekend in May 2019 it was quite full, a site regulation would be good. They don't seem to exist, everyone does what they want. Motorcycles are worked on at lunchtime and are often left to warm up for 15 minutes. People party loudly until the middle of the night (well past midnight). Motorhomes, caravans and tents are parked in a colorful mix. There are no restrictions, there are 8 guys on a plot opposite and they get drunk. I searched in vain for a groundsman. If you like it that way, fine, not me, tomorrow we leave... and definitely won't be back, goodbye...Automatisk oversat.
- Peter S.September 2018PositiveBeautiful locationNegativMany motorcyclists to be heard in summerGladly againGreat place right on the lake. Spacious, clean sanitary facilities. Friendly German-speaking reception. Disturbing are the motorcyclists, whose engine noise in the valley tries to overtake the echo.Automatisk oversat.
- Ute H.July 2018PositiveMany excursion destinations in the surrounding area, ideal for swimming and bathing,Negativoutdated sanitary, only the most necessary in the store, crooked pitches (you need wedges) only booking via I Net, sometimes noisy (road)Great location right on the lakeNice German-speaking reception, small camping store, restaurant on site, many excursion possibilities nearbyAutomatisk oversat.
- André M.May 2018Very nice campsite, wonderfully embedded in nature. On our return journey from the south of France, we stayed at the campsite for another 4 days. The reception was very friendly and German-speaking. The small store sells croissants, baguettes, bread rolls and the essentials in the morning. There is also a bar with small dishes. The sanitary facilities... need to be renovated, but were always very clean. There are many pitches on the slope, of course you have to build more underneath there than on the pitches by the lake. All in all, we liked it very much and were able to enjoy the last day of our vacation.Automatisk oversat.
- Maik I.July 2017Positivebrilliant location friendly staffNegativMusic events in other places can fill the whole valley with noise Unclean campersI have never felt so comfortable beforeA beautifully situated place in the Vosges. Anyone who visits France must know that the common Frenchman probably prefers to speak in his national language. We were surprised at first that most of the younger people there hardly speak any English (our French is rather poor). However, we were greeted... with very good German at the campsite reception. Booking was therefore also unproblematic. There were lots of Fanzos, Belgians, Dutch and Germans on the site itself. The atmosphere on the pitch was characterized by French serenity. It was very relaxed. The site itself is in a very well-kept condition. The sanitary facilities were adequate, but quite outdated. They were cleaned twice a day, but this was sometimes not enough (but I put this down to the campers, not the site, as everyone should know how to use a toilet brush). Our pitch was right on the lake, which was very nice. However, as it was right next to the bathing area, we often had bathers or even anglers on our pitch. You can either put up with that or put up a windbreak or something else. But that just doesn't correspond to French serenity ;-) The surrounding area itself was fantastic. Everyone can find something to do here: Cycling tours with the family or the club at Tour de France level Motorcycle tours Hiking Sightseeing in towns such as Colmar (approx. 45 min away) Swimming Boating Paragliding Museums ...Automatisk oversat.
- wilhelm v.July 2017PositiveLakeside location, ideal for swimming and hikingNegativShowers only lukewarmBeautiful place by the lake, ideal for relaxingOne of several campsites on the eastern shore of the lake of Geradmer. Sufficiently large pitches on terraces on a slightly ascending slope with some larger trees, therefore almost always with a view of the lake. Small bathing areas provide access to the very clean lake, ideal for swimming. Also suitable... for children as there is a small, shallow shore area. Large playground. Small stream crosses the site. Several table tennis tables, volleyball and boules courts. 2 large, clean sanitary buildings, unfortunately the showers are only lukewarm. Small store with the essentials. Pitches are allocated. (Youth/children's groups have their own pitches). Relatively quiet even when fully occupied. Friendly staff. Many hiking trails nearby, either directly from the campsite or easily accessible by car like Sentier des Roches.Automatisk oversat.
- Andreas B.July 2015Positive+class location +great value for money +clean and good sanitary facilitiesBeautiful thingA super idyllic campsite. No long walks to the sanitary facilities. Clear, beautiful mountain lake that glistens in the morning sun. It was a little too quiet for our taste at 11 o'clock at night, which is why we didn't dare listen to any more music. The nearest town is easily reached by car. There are... hiking and cycling opportunities as soon as you go through the gate of the campsite. There are so many baguettes that you can even buy some at lunchtime.Automatisk oversat.
- stefan s.April 2015Great placeI have been coming here for about 2.5 years now and will keep it first with tent and now with caravan is super friendly here everything is a small cozy place right on the lake and great for hiking dogs are very welcome guests here just great place are now half permanent campersAutomatisk oversat.
- Rachel B.October 2014PositiveBeautiful landscape, right on the lake, friendly operators, great excursion possibilitiesNegativThe water is a tad too cold for washing dishes. Too much hustle and bustle in midsummer (for us at least ;-) )One of our favorite placesWe have been going to this campsite often for 1.5 years. It's in a very nice location, the staff are super friendly and the lake is great. The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but "cozy" and sufficient. A real camper will want for nothing ;-) We have spent some of the best short breaks there. in... summer, however, it is very crowded on the site and you have to be lucky to find a quiet spot. That's why we often come out of season or at short notice in bad weather ;-) The individual pitches are nice and large and there are plenty of access points to the lake. We will certainly come back often ;-)Automatisk oversat.
- Andreas und Petra S.May 2014Directly on the lakeVery nice location on a small lake with the possibility of fishing. The pitches in the first row are occupied by permanent campers and even in the 2nd row there are only a few spaces for day guests, although we were there in May, i.e. in the low season. A good starting point for hikes in the Vosges.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank S.August 2013I've been coming here for many years and, like all campsites, it's very busy in the high season. There are two sanitary facilities, both of which are only open at peak times. The temperature of the hot water cannot be adjusted, but it can be used for washing dishes. The sanitary facilities are simple,... but clean and well maintained and both are heated. The campsite is situated over 700 meters high in the mountains, so when the sun is gone it quickly gets chilly. The pitches are all overgrown with grass. Many pitches are sloping, as the site is on a slope. Some trees provide shade, but the majority of the pitches are unshaded. The pitches are very spacious and usually at least 100 square meters in size There is very little shade, so you can often go for a swim or splash around in the very refreshing lake. There is a small stream running through the site where children can play and you can keep your drinks cold. There are four table tennis tables, a boules court and two children's playgrounds. Motorcyclists are often there over the German bridge days. Even in small groups. At night, the groups can sometimes be louder, but for some years now there has been a night watchman who ensures peace and quiet. There is a small market at reception that sells everything you need. The nearest supermarket is a Super U in Gerardmer, 8 minutes away by car. With a fish counter. The operator also has a bistro where snacks are available. There is much more seating outside. During soccer tournaments (European Championship or World Cup) there is a large projector and a great atmosphere.Automatisk oversat.
- le boucheron m.July 2013PositiveNatureNegativvery unfriendlyVery nice campsite but very unfriendly managementI have been coming to this campsite for 7 years now and the management is still so unfriendly, the least you can do is greet people. Even after seven years nothing has changed.Automatisk oversat.
- Maria F.July 2013Beautiful location with three entrances to the lake, pitches directly on the lakeshore occupied by permanent campers with a few exceptions, but there is a lake view from every pitch (which makes up for it), sanitary building was only fully opened when fully occupied, the water temperature of the showers... in the upper building cannot be regulated and the water is hot or cold depending on the time of day, cultural events twice a week in the high season, several beautiful hiking trails start opposite the site, receptionists speak perfect German, small store with all the necessities availableAutomatisk oversat.
- Susanne F.May 2013We spent 3 nights on this site in May 2013, right on the lake. The sanitary building is quite rustic and not heated, the only weak point of the site. The reception was friendly, German-speaking and there is a 20% discount on the pitch fee for vehicles older than 20 years. Over the long week there were mainly campers with racing bikes or mountain bikes on siteAutomatisk oversat.
- Peter M.August 2011Very nice location, right on the lake. Pleasantly quiet (although people don't complain if there's music playing) and a fairly mixed mix of guests (families, youth groups and senior citizens). If you want a quiet place, this is the place for you, and it's even the perfect spot for hiking through the... Vosges mountains. However, it was very cold at night during our stay (maybe because you're sitting right next to a lake in a hollow surrounded by mountains), so you should at least bring a sweater...Automatisk oversat.
- Peter D.August 2011Very beautifully situated CP on a lake. Fresh bread and some groceries in the store. The landscape is very beautiful. If you are looking for hikes and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Sanitary facilities are in need of renovation but still clean. Will come again but only in summer as the water temperature of the lake is then suitable for swimming.Automatisk oversat.
- Tom A.July 2010Nice place with direct access to the lake, playground, animation in the HS, large plots and nice staffAutomatisk oversat.
- Thomas E.July 2010Very puristic place with direct access to the lake, for the entertainment there is a circus tent in the middle of the place where various programs are presented, very high frequntiert, plot size is good, the location of the place is simply wonderful, at edr reception there is a small supermarket with a manageable offer, price / performance is ok.Automatisk oversat.
