- Michael H.August 2018PositivePeace, peace and more peace. If you need peace and quiet, you can switch off in this place.NegativThere is no toilet brush in the toilet cubicles.Beautifully situated place directly on the lakeThe campsite is located in one of the quietest spots on the Lac des Settons. You can go hiking or cycling from here. The campsite manager is a very friendly man who also offers bread and rolls. The pitches are large and shady thanks to the trees. The location in the countryside and the peace and quiet... here are wonderful. The nearest supermarket is around 20 km away. At night you can see the clear starry sky. If you look at the buildings, you get the impression that time has stood still. Everything is old, but not run-down. There are plenty of toilets and they are cleaned regularly. One disadvantage is the lack of toilet brushes.Automatisk oversat.
- Silke S.August 2017PositiveVery nice pitches, not overcrowdedNegativActually none, except for slightly sloping pitches.Still so beautiful....The campsite is really a great address for anyone looking for a relaxed vacation. Even in the high season, when Setton Lake is really busy and other campsites are fully booked, it's quiet and empty here, right on the lake with its own bathing area. Beautiful shady grass pitches, but some of them are... actually very sloping. The facilities are charmingly old-fashioned, but in great shape and very clean. Everything is still done by the over seventy-year-old operator, who is super nice and spoke a mixture of English, German and French with us, so we were able to communicate very well. The lake is great for cycling and there are various nice leisure activities. It was a great few days!Automatisk oversat.
- Michael G.July 2015PositiveLocation, peace, shade, lots of space, nostalgic flair, nice operatorNegativPitches partly sloping, narrow access roadsA little paradiseRarely seen such an enchanting campsite: Directly on the lake with swimming 30m from the site, old trees, peace and quiet ... and everything is wonderfully old-fashioned! The reception/café and sanitary facilities must be 50 years old, the operator over 70 - but everything is well maintained. A footpath... (only partially suitable for bicycles) leads all the way around the lake. Bathing jetty directly at the site, sandy beach 100m away. Dogs are no problem. Baguette service is offered, shopping facilities otherwise not so good.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrike W.August 2012One of the most beautiful campsites we know: right on the shores of Lac de Setton, where you can swim with the great crested grebes in the morning, fresh bread rolls and croissants at reception, spacious pitches with sun and shade, and: Peace and quiet - even in the middle of August! The friendly site manager pays attention to this, but children's noises are not noise for him! We were there for the 2nd time and will definitely be back again!Automatisk oversat.
