- Uschi S.May 2024PositiveW-LAN free of charge The new wash house is ready There is now a supermarket in the villageNegativNoneSomething has happened!Since our last stay in May 2023, the site has developed further.
The Wi-Fi is now free, but not very stable.
The new wash house is finished and was always clean. The shower cubicles are pleasantly large.
There is now a supermarket in the village, about 10 minutes' walk away.Automatisk oversat. - Uschi S.May 2023PositiveOnline booking with seat selection Numerous hiking trails 2 sanitary buildings Bistro and bread roll serviceNegativNo arrival areaBeautiful, small square on the MullerthalOver the long Whitsun weekend, we went to Luxembourg 🇱🇺 to the Martbusch campsite in Berdorf.
A lovely little site next to the incredibly impressive Mullerthal.
You can book online and choose your pitch.
Unfortunately, there is no pitch available for check-in on arrival.
All pitches have electricity... and lots of shady trees (bad for the satellite dish😅).
Numerous hiking trails lead through the dream forest with lots of rocks, caves and gorges. There is something new to discover every day.
A new wash house is currently being built next to the reception. Toilets and showers can already be used.
There are 3 toilets, washbasins and showers in the older washhouse. Showering is only possible with a card. This is issued free of charge at check-in.
There are also 2 washing-up areas, a waste disposal station and waste disposal.
Bread rolls can be ordered.
The bistro offers a beautiful outdoor terrace and an extensive food and drinks menu.
The W-LAN must be purchased additionally, we did not use it.
The staff are very friendly and respond promptly to suggestions.
We'll be here again next Whitsun🤩Automatisk oversat. - Sandra R.April 2022PositiveEverythingNegativNoneVery nice placeWe had a nice flat pitch and there is a bread roll service right next door in a bistro where you can also have breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee. The sanitary building is well equipped and clean. The staff are super nice and helpful. The place is highly recommended we will definitely be back! Hiking from the campsite through the gorges in the valley is great.Automatisk oversat.
- Elke S.April 2022PositiveQuiet site, pitches large enough, electricity and water on site. Very friendly and helpful reception.NegativWash house at the front not really clean in parts. No WLAN on the pitch in 10 days. Apparently there was a problem. The open space next to our pitch (no pitch) was given to a large motorhome because the owners caused stress at reception. The daughter had booked a pitch and the parents had to stand next to it without a reservation. We had booked the pitch specifically because of the open space. We were initially told that it was only for one night. That was not true. The reception staff were understanding, but nothing changed. There was no soap in the men's room for two days. The reception took care of it immediately, but only after another complaint the next day did anything change. Bread can be ordered in the bistro until 7pm. Otherwise, however, you can't buy anything on site.Martbusch and hiking couldn't be betterThe reception is very friendly. We didn't have a square for the tap. This was given to us. For the newer wash house you need a card, which is given for a 10€ deposit. I didn't have any money with me and wanted to come back later. They gave it to me then. It was annoying that there was no WLAN.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter F.June 2021PositiveEverything. Nice reception, nice pitches, professional service, great bistro, good info center, very nice new sanitary buildingNegativThe unrest caused by motorhomes, apparently these people have no peace in their asses. Arrive, take out the awning, stay for two days and leave again.Great camping siteThe website reflects everything well, so no photos from me. I can only agree with the other reviews, everything is clean, great hiking trails well marked,
nice people the Luxembourgers.Automatisk oversat. - Daria L.June 2019PositiveHiking trails on the doorstep. Child-friendly. Making a fire is possible. Large pitches. Sanitary facilities in top condition.......Negativnone foundsuper!Friendly reception, clean, beautifully situated, many hikes directly from the CP and in the surrounding area. You are allowed to make a fire in a fire bowl. Dogs are welcome. Nice playground. Bread roll service. Top sanitary facilities. Spacious pitches/pitches. Unbeatable value for money! We will definitely be back!Automatisk oversat.
- Ehepaar F.April 2017PositiveYou can also leave the car at home. Very dog-friendly.NegativCold showers and low water pressure in the old wash house.Simply let your mind wander 🤗We were guests over the Easter holidays. Nice little clean place. Not too noisy but also no grave atmosphere. The pitches are big enough and have electricity and water. Must be requested when booking! The site has two sanitary buildings. An older one directly at the reception and a brand new one at the... back. We used both. I preferred to wash in the older one because it had individual washing cubicles. For showering I went to the new one because there was hot water there. The showers in the old one are only recommended for "Kneipp cure followers" 😮. The young woman at reception was friendly but not very informative. We only found out from our neighbors that we needed a key for the water connection and a card for the new wash house. But apart from that, all the staff were helpful and friendly. You can walk straight from the pitch. Just a few steps and you're in the middle of the magical rocky landscape. Really impressive. A bit like in "Lord of the Rings" 😌. So from young to sporty old, there's something for everyone. We loved it and will be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Melanie E.July 2015PositiveDirect ice ascent to the hiking routes.NegativThe equipment of the individual pitches is not visible when booking onlineNice campsiteWe stayed for a week for hiking and the place is very good for that. It is right at the start of various hiking, climbing and mountain bike tours. The tourist information office is right on the pitch. The pitch itself is functional. Some pitches have a water connection, all have electricity. Unfortunately,... when booking online, it is not clear which pitches are equipped and how. It is advisable to make a reservation by telephone. The access to the campsite is good, the pitches are uneven and slightly sloping. The sanitary buildings are clean, but the lower building is getting on in years. There is a small entertainment program for children. The site is very dog-friendly. WLAN is free of chargeAutomatisk oversat.
- Brunhilde G.July 2014PositiveHiking mostly without a car, often directly from the campsite.NegativShopping only by car. Bus connections could be better.B. GrünebaumSimply ideal for what we were looking for. Peace, hiking, great surroundings. Beautiful place, very well-kept and clean, despite dogs. We have one ourselves. It was a great vacation, gladly again.Automatisk oversat.
- Johannes T.June 2014Beautiful little square in the MüllerthalThe site is relatively small and in a quiet location. There are some mobile homes and permanent pitches, as well as tourist pitches. The sanitary facilities are ok, but some of them may not be entered with shoes (the shower rooms). Otherwise there is a playground, mini golf and climbing wall. You can dive directly into the gorge landscape from the site and go hiking. Unfortunately, there is no kiosk on the site.Automatisk oversat.
- Harm M.July 2013We visited this campsite during the main holiday season on our way to France and stayed there for two nights. The campsite is in a quiet and beautiful location on the edge of Luxembourg's Switzerland. This is a good starting point for hiking or mountain biking. The site itself was almost 100% full. The... sanitary blocks are old and some of them are clearly worn out (broken washbasins). The cleanliness at full occupancy was satisfactory. No more and no less. Good as a starting point for further sightseeing (Echternach, etc.). However, we would not spend an entire summer vacation in the area and on the site. Certainly good for the fall.Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf R.September 2012Actually a great campsite, if it weren't for a few small improvements: 1. the second sanitary block has already seen its best days. Clean but worn out! 2. showers are closed at lunchtime. So why aren't they cleaned during this time? Instead, they do it in the morning when you actually need them! 3. basically... it's nice and quiet on the campsite but when someone goes around with a leaf blower at 7:30 in the morning it's not nice! On the whole, however, I can recommend the site. The staff are very nice.Automatisk oversat.
