- Katrin H.May 2024PositiveLocation, quiet, uncomplicated, pre-ordered bread rolls,NegativPower boxes outdated, long cable required,Long weekendWe, a couple, were there for a long weekend. Uncomplicated registration.
Pitches mainly gravel, with grass in front.
Small, clean, older sanitary area.
Good for cycling, tickets, Husum.Automatisk oversat. - Kai P.April 2023Positivebeautiful pitches a beautiful place quiet location nice staffNegativvery dirty and old sanitary facilities no chemical toilet disposalnice and quiet, unfortunately dirty sanitary facilitiesThis campsite has the potential to be a 5 star campsite. The beautiful pitches, a small, quiet campsite for absolute peace and quiet. Everything is totally uncomplicated.
Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were not cleaned once during the whole weekend. They had not been cleaned for a long time when... we arrived.
Furthermore, it is very inconvenient that there is no possibility to dispose of your chemical toilet on the campsite. I think that this should not be on a campsite.Automatisk oversat. - Berndt M.July 2022Positive- Small, manageable site, well located - Recreation rooms, kitchen and seating (particularly advantageous for guests with tents) - Clean sanitary facilitiesNegativNearest bathing area 4 km awayFamiliar and close to natureWe stayed at the Margarethenruh campsite on Nordstrand years ago, sometimes on bike tours, sometimes as a family with a tent, and now for the first time in a rented caravan.
The campsite is right on the dyke and is very green. You can quickly reach excursions on the mainland as well as destinations on... the island. With the Engelsmühle and the Fischimbiss there are gastronomic offers within walking distance, only for shopping or bakery you need the bike or car.
The caravan was well equipped with sanitary facilities, fully equipped kitchen, fridge, TV etc., dining table, wicker chair and deckchair in the awning.
There was always a nice chat with the staff. We felt at home.Automatisk oversat. - Martin S.August 2020PositiveSmall, beautiful, clean, quietNegativNot directly by the sea (but no real disadvantage)Small, beautiful and cleanSmall clean CP with electricity on site. - Carolin H.July 2020PositiveDogs are not only allowed, but are absolutely accepted. Small reminder at the sink that washing-up liquid, washcloths and washing brushes are available.NegativExtremely small pitches (when the awning is set up from the pitch behind me, I can no longer open a side window because the awning starts in 3 cm); only one sink for 27 pitches; completely planned booking (I had asked for a pitch next to a fellow traveler - I was at the other end of the small camping site, in the 2nd week I was asked who exactly I was, since when I would be there and how long I would stay - yes, I had registered on the day of arrival).very narrow, totally plannedIt is a small, 27-pitch site, has a small house in which the registration is located, a sink, a small seating area for tent campers and the toilet block.
So far so nice. When I booked, I asked for a pitch next to a couple of friends. I arrived 2 days later than the couple in question, the only caravan... pitch was at the other end of the site (ok, not too bad considering the size/smallness of the site). In response to my astonishment that I had actually asked to stand next to couple Xx, I was made to feel stupid and told that he could hardly move all the other caravans now.
It has to be said that I never saw Mr. Paulsen (the owner of the campsite), only his two employees.
After 1.5 weeks I was asked by the employee (who I had registered with on arrival) who exactly I was, how long I had been there and how long I would be staying.
But the thing that bothered me the most about this pitch was that the person on the pitch behind me was definitely not allowed to have an awning, otherwise I could no longer open my side window because the tent was only 3 cm away. Fortunately, I had the front pitch, so I could use the space in front of me facing the "through road", but I could only empty my toilet at the back if I had no neighbors.
All in all, the impression remains
- reorganized
- no accommodation at all
- crampedAutomatisk oversat. - Kl. S.April 2019PositivePure North FrisiaNegativ..a bit much dog, ..and the constant arrival and departure of motorhome owners who only stay for one night....a beautiful three star place!...located directly on the dyke, café (with small bakery) and a snack bar within walking distance. The place itself is well-kept, partly planted with trees and hedges. Sanitary is okay! There is a very nice lounge. However, some pitches are very small! We would not have been able to extend the awning on our caravan ...and no....there is also no more space for the car on the pitch. Conclusion...we felt comfortable, for a long weekend it was okay👍Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich M.August 2018PositivePeace and cleanliness - great atmosphere!NegativNone!!!!!!An oasis of peace right on the dykeWe are always drawn to this peaceful oasis behind the dyke. We always find very clean sanitary facilities. Mrs. Cordes and the nearby mill serve delicious breakfast rolls, and it's also worth trying the cakes in the adjoining café. The site is informal and wonderfully quiet. The pitches are gravelled... with a well-kept piece of grass. The price/performance ratio is OK - the tourist tax of €1 per day and person is levied by the municipality - so not a "problem" for the campsite. Disposal of camping toilets only without chemicals! The island is ideal for long bicycle tours, as there is a perfect network of cycle paths on the island. The nearest shop is 2.5 km away. Excursions by boat or to the mudflats can be booked at the campsite. - We will definitely be back!Automatisk oversat.
- Lütz B.July 2018PositiveRest and relaxationNegativbooked out quicklyYou feel right at homeI think this small campsite is very good because it leads to conversations, regular guests introduce you, the togetherness is important. Thank you for the lovely days and shared activities. The horse-drawn cart tour to the mudflats was great.Automatisk oversat.
- Wolf H.July 2017PositiveVery clean and friendlyNegativnoneVery good placeEverything clean and friendly. Showers could be a bit more, but no crowds. Super lounge and top prices.... Recommendation: The grill 100 meters away at the sports boat harbor!Automatisk oversat.
- Hartmut P.June 2017PositiveVery friendly service for guests. Clean, well-kept and sufficiently large pitches. Clean sanitary facilitiesNegativWLAN at the pitch not sufficient. No others found despite intensive search."Small but mighty". This motto is completely trueThe campsite was ideal for us as a senior couple with a dog. We were able to relax well. The pitch, which was sheltered from the wind by hedges, was large enough. To describe the very good service and the excellent cleanliness of the sanitary facilities in full would go beyond the scope of this commentary.... Only the WLAN at the pitch is not sufficient. But there is a large lounge for that. It works perfectly there. The operator, Mr. Paulsen, even invited all the guests present to a barbecue.Automatisk oversat.
- Peggy K.March 2017PositivePeace, landscape.NegativFar away from everything. But just right for those seeking peace and quiet.Very nice and very quietA very small place right behind the dyke. But the water is still far away. You can go on great bike tours and walk in the mudflats. Otherwise you always need a car for shopping or you can bring everything with you. The showers are small but adequate. Great for those seeking peace and quiet to "come down"!Automatisk oversat.
- Alfons L.September 2016PositiveQuiet, small, family-run complex, very personal, direct access to the dyke for dog owners.NegativSanitarybeautiful, small square, virtually in the garden of a residential building, near SüderhafenSmall, familiar site with sunny and shady pitches, located directly on the dyke, very good café with bread rolls in the immediate vicinity, sufficient sanitary facilities, small showers and toilets in one room, separated only by classic wooden partitions, high visitor's tax, 1.80/pers/day, shower included in the price, but the car on the pitch costs €3.50, electricity flat rate €2.90, for 4 days €114 was due.Automatisk oversat.

- Joachim K.April 2016PositiveIt really is a nice camping site for WomoNegativI don't think there are any who need peace and quiet will find it hereCamping site MagarethenruhIt is a really quiet camping site very suitable for Womo I spent three weeks there everything was clean and tidy. The Paulsen family and Mrs. Cordes gave me a warm welcome and I immediately felt at home there. I was immediately informed where what was going on and when which ferries were leaving, you could also book here right away. Thanks to the team, I would love to come back.Automatisk oversat.
- Emil F.October 2015PositiveGood air - cleanliness - constant concern for the well-being of the camper - proximity to Husum - connection to a perfect network of cycle paths - good value for moneyNegativNone detectedRest and relaxationWe spent more than 6 weeks in a caravan here in the fall of 2015. The operators are very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the site and sanitary facilities was exemplary. A small and very informal business. We would love to come back.Automatisk oversat.
- Vic F.June 2015NegativCramped pitches, parking space character, but too expensiveNarrow and expensiveThe site has many pitches. This gives the impression of a motorhome site, which may be different if there are many tents. It is too expensive for a pitch.Automatisk oversat.
- Sven D.May 2015Positivequiet, quiet, quiet......value. Short distance to Husum (stroll)NegativIt is really very quiet there. There is almost nothing in the surrounding area. If you don't like that, you're in the wrong place. We think the pitch and location are TOPQuiet otherwise nothing......We were there at the beginning of May. Out of 4 days, we spent 2 nights alone on the site. The sanitary facilities are more than clean. You could have actually eaten off the floor there. There is nothing around except sheep, dykes and meadows. Apart from a snack bar (200m) and the mill. In the mill you can get bread/rolls/small items. By car you can quickly reach the beautiful town of Husum.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter L.September 2014PositiveRestNegativTourist tax where????Super small pitchQuiet, small, cozy pitch. Friendly site operator. Very suitable for running and cycling. The rest is a dead end. Question to the tourist information office: what do you actually pay tourist tax for in this location?Automatisk oversat.

- D. G.August 2014PositiveClearly laid out, nice and super clean.Super nice and super cleanMrs. Cordes and the Paulsen family were very nice and helpful. They gave us a great pitch. The pitch is quite small, but really cozy. Ideal for small children as everything is manageable. When it was constantly raining, the lounge was specially heated for us (we were there with a tent) and fan heaters... were provided to dry the tent! The sanitary facilities and kitchen were clean and always nice and warm. All in all, a totally nice and beautiful place if you don't need entertainment and spectacle!Automatisk oversat.
