- Hans-Jörg S.September 2024PositiveBeautiful campsite directly on a kilometer-long beach. Close to Tarifa.NegativSomewhat small pitches.Rio JaraSuper beach as far as the eye can see. Direct access to the beach. Nice welcome in almost all languages. Sanitary facilities clean. Pitches are a bit narrow for a 7m Womo. We were there at the end of Sept. 24 and there were still plenty of free pitches. The village of Tarifa can be reached by bike on the main road in 10 minutes.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich C.May 2019PositiveStiff breeze for the surfersNegativLots of dogs!Too many dogsIt's a shame that the camps almost never manage to mark out dog-free zones - most of them could easily do that!Automatisk oversat.
- Herbert D.September 2018PositiveAbsolutely great locationNegativBird droppings on the pitches near the beachPlace with a special flairThe place lives mainly from its absolutely unique location. At the southernmost point of Europe (mainland). The site is beautifully designed, the sanitary facilities would benefit from a complete renovation. But they are always clean. The special flair of the campsite is the guests. Here you meet everything... from drop-outs to doctors. A very pleasant crowd! Small store on site, pizzeria opposite. Beach approx. 200m direct access from the campsite. Staff always friendly and helpful. Pitches are relatively small, and the closer they are to the beach, the more the vehicles, tents or caravans are "decorated" with bird droppings to the point of unrecognizability.Automatisk oversat.
- Carsten S.June 2017PositiveLocationNegativElectricity, Hot ShowersttSurfer paradiseThe campsite right by the sea is very nicely laid out. Few shady places. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and hot showers are only available at certain times. Wifi is only available in the restaurant to increase turnover. Electricity costs 4.50 € p.T. No exception for bikers (cell phone... charging). Cheap shopping (LIDL) is available directly on the highway to Tarifa harbor. The campsite's own mini-market is far too expensive. German speaking managers.Automatisk oversat.
- Felix S.April 2017PositiveLocationNegativPoor wifiThe Mecca for kitesurfersThe campsite is large and about 4 km west of Tarifa. Wifi is free but slow, but unfortunately it was down most of the time during my visit. From Tarifa, a short trip to Tangier by ferry is worthwhile. The campsite is fully equipped and also offers everything kitesurfers need. The sanitary facilities... were being renovated during my visit, so their use was limited. Electricity not available at every pitch or you should have long cables with you, which can also be driven over. Water to fill up the water tank is available at several stations and there is also a restaurant and small supermarket.Automatisk oversat.
- Ian R.May 2013A nicely located site with all the basic requirements. Large grassy pitches with hedges on three sides make for comfortable camping with some privacy. The beach is a few minutes walk away with views of North Africa. A very handy location which we used for visits to Gibraltar and Tarifa. The shop stocks... basic camping essentials and the restaurant serves decent local produce, beer and wine. Trips across the straits to Africa are available from the shop at a small discount. The toilet facilities were clean and well-maintained, with a separate block for washing up. Nice little site, we'd be happy to visit again.
- Helmut M.August 20122nd visit since 2004, lots of staff in the meantime. Sanitary facilities are always checked and cleaned. Pitches are checked and cleaned after guests leave. The beach is close by and you can walk for miles. The manager speaks German!!!Automatisk oversat.
- Roland M.May 2012Beautifully situated site. Pitches mostly very narrow. Sanitary ok but a bit "antique". Wifi free only near the reception, reception a bit grumpy and neither hospitable nor helpful. Well... maybe it wasn't a good day?Automatisk oversat.
- Plšková A.May 2011Beautiful campsite, perfect sanitary facilities and a wonderful garden archirtecture. The sea in view. If only it wasn't so windy...Automatisk oversat.
- Dirk N.May 2011Pitches relatively sheltered from the wind for Tarifa. Camping store extremely overpriced! No shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity!!! Were only there for one day/night! However, recommended for tourists!Automatisk oversat.
- Carmine !.August 2010BabelA true Babel. Young people of all nationalities. The campsite was very crowded. We managed to get in the morning after arrival. Tight spaces for camping due to crowding, but the place is ideal for those looking for cheerfulness, movement, and meeting new people. Patient staff. Facilities not clean, but... functioning. Superb adjoining beach, almost a km deep and with a view of Africa, which is only 15 km away. Much practiced kite.surfing, surfing and motor paragliding. The center of Tarifa is close by, definitely worth a visit. You can get to Tangier in 20 minutes.Automatisk oversat.
- Andreas O.June 2010Nice place with relatively little shade. The nearby N-340 is a bit of a nuisance, but Tarifa is relatively easy to reach by bike. The sanitary facilities could be cleaner and need to be partially renewed. The site management was not particularly friendly and probably charges different prices for each... customer (at least everyone we spoke to paid different amounts for the same service). We paid 20 euros for a VW bus, 2 adults and a baby - without electricity. The adjacent beach is a dream.Automatisk oversat.
- Jürg B.May 2010Beautiful, quiet site in a nature reserve, approx. 300 m to the beach. Pitches clean and well-kept, sanit. Facilities only partially open and unfortunately not cleaned during our stay, 2 nights. Friendly staffAutomatisk oversat.
- Hans S.May 2010Small, cozy campsite 600 m from the N340 in the nature reserve with direct access to the wide, fine sandy beach. You are welcomed in perfect German. There is a small supermarket right next to the reception. The pitches are between 40 and 80 square meters in size. A relatively new tree population offers little shade but the fresh breeze from the sea is really refreshing.Automatisk oversat.
